क्या आप जानते हैं बसंत पंचमी क्यों मनाई जाती हैं।.... आईए जानते हैं-
हिंदु पौराणिक कथाओं में प्रचलित एक कथा के अनुसार, भगवान ब्रह्मा ने संसार की रचना की। उन्होंने पेड़-पौधे, जीव-जन्तु और मनुष्य बनाए, लेकिन उन्हें लगा कि उनकी रचना में कुछ कमी रह गई। इसीलिए ब्रह्मा जी ने अपने कमंडल से जल छिड़का, जिससे चार हाथों वाली एक सुंदर स्त्री प्रकट हुई। उस स्त्री के एक हाथ में वीणा, दूसरे में पुस्तक, तीसरे में माला और चौथा हाथ वर मुद्रा में था। ब्रह्मा जी ने इस सुंदर देवी से वीणा बजाने को कहा। जैसे वीणा बजी ब्रह्मा जी की बनाई हर चीज़ में स्वर आ गया। तभी ब्रह्मा जी ने उस देवी को वाणी की देवी सरस्वती नाम दिया। वह दिन वसंत पंचमी का था। इसी वजह से हर साल वसंत पंचमी के दिन देवी सरस्वती का जन्मदिन मनाया जाने लगा और उनकी पूजा की जाने लगी।

जिस प्रकार धन और समृद्धि की देवी लक्ष्मी की पूजा के लिए दिवाली महत्वपूर्ण है, शक्ति और वीरता की देवी दुर्गा की पूजा के लिए नवरात्रि महत्वपूर्ण है, उसी तरह वसंत पंचमी ज्ञान की देवी सरस्वती की पूजा के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है.
