November 09:Police in Ganderbal arrested a bootlegger and recovered 75 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
Officers at a checkpoint established at Shuhama crossing intercepted one person riding on a Scooty bearing registration No. JK-01AB-7833. He has been identified as Ali Gulzar Bhat resident of Alamgari Bazar Hawal. During search, officers were able to recovered 75 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody. Vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 228/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Ganderbal and further investigation has been initiated.
Locals have lauded the efforts of Police and appealed to continue such drives in future as well. Police has resolved to act tough against inimical elements.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding anti social elements in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in anti social activities will be dealt as per law.

UDHAMPUR: Villagers of Morha Bararia in Panchayat Joffar of Ramnagar Tehsil of District Udhampur complained of being forced to live in darkness for the last seven decades despite the availability of electricity poles in the Village. Due to the Non availability of Electricity in said Village Residents of this village curse their fate for having to live under kerosene lamps and burn wooden Pieces. Students of the said area are faced with hardship to continue their studies. Locals appeal to the Govt of India to instruct the department concerned to electrify our area.

KATRA POLICE ARRESTED ONE ACCUSED WHO INVOLVED IN IPL CRICKET BETTING/LOTTERY
Katra i.e on 07.11.2020 one Rishi Kapoor S/O Kewal Krishan R/O Bakshi Nagar Jammu A/P Jij Chowk Katra reported at P/S Katra and lodged a written complaint to the effect that one Vijay Kumar S/O Yash Paul Singh R/O Jammu A/P Rameshwari Hotel Banganga road Katra involved in IPL crickets betting/ lottery and also cheated to the peoples of Katra town and the accused also cheated to the applicant and looted some cash and some articles just like Led, blanket etc. On this complaint, a case FIR No 179/20 u/s 420/294- A IPC stands registered at PS Katra and investigation of the case entrusted to SI Bharat Singh.

During the further investigation the accused namely Vijay Kumar arrested and three mobiles,01 register and 01 diary were seized from his possession. The bank details of the accused are yet to be ascertained .Further investigations of the case is going on.

07 GAMBLERS ARRESTED, TOTAL MONEY OF Rs 20,270/- RECOVERED

In its ongoing efforts to w**d out social crime from the society, Samba Police has arrested 07 Gamblers in the jurisdiction of PS Bari Brahmana and recovered stake money amounting to Rs 20,270/- from their possession.

Acting on a specific information about gambling in their jurisdiction, a Police Party of PS Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot at industrial area Bari Brahmana and arrested 07 gamblers alongwith stake money of Rs. 20,270/- and a set of playing cards.

The gamblers have been identified as:

1) Sher Bhadur S/o Prem Bhadur

2) Motey Gurung S/o Dhan Lal Gurung

3) Inder Bhadur S/o Jeet Bhadur

4) Ram Bhadur S/o Tara Bhadur

5) Makhan Bhadur S/o Dhan Lal Bhadur

6) Lakh Bhadur S/o Prem Bhadur

7) Prem Bhadur S/o Man Bhadur

All are resident of Nepal, who are at present residing at Industrial area Bari Brahmana.

Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at PS Bari Brahmana.

Jammu and Kashmir: In continuation to the drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, on 03.11.2020, Katra Police apprehended one drug peddler namely Sohan Lal S/O Sham Lal R/O Naley, Tehsil Katra District Reasi and Police party recovered 400 Gms. Poppy Straw and 130 Aprazolam Teblets from his possession alongwith Scooty bearing registration No. JK20A-3247 who was coming towards Katra town and arrested on spot. A case FIR No 175/2020 U/S 8/15/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Katra against him. The arrest and recovery is made by Inspr. Jammu, Nov 04: In order ensure effective traffic management system and hassle free vehicular movements in this Festivals season, Traffic Police City Jammu launched a special drive in visible offences like w/o Crash Helmets, safety belts, over speed, wrong stops, Rash and negligent driving, wrongly parked vehicles etc.

“The main objective of the special drives was to hassle free Vehicular movements in this Festivals season and aware the General public regarding the Traffic rules and regulations” said Sh Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP Traffic City Jammu and further added that the people should follows the Traffic rules and regulations for their own safety as well as for the safety of others.

SSP Traffic directed all the Traffic officers to ensure strict implementation of Traffic rules in their area of responsibilities and booked the violators under M.V. Act.
Moreover the people are requested to adhere to all Traffic rules, and make a habit of wearing safety belt and crash helmet for their safety and larger interest of their family.

The drive was led by ASP Traffic City Jammu, Sh Pardeep Singh Gouria, DySP Traffic North Mrs Shivali Kotwal, DySP Traffic South Sh Sunil Singh & Areas i.e. Bishnah, RS Pura, Akhnoor, Domana, Nagrota, etc were led by DySP Traffic Sh Neeraj Paddyar under the overall Supervisions of SSP Traffic City Jammu, Sh Shiv Kumar Sharma, JKPS.

न्यूजीलैंड भेजने के नाम पर ठगी, दो पर दर्ज केस में चालान पेश किया

जम्मू। न्यूजीलैंड भेजने के नाम पर धोखाधड़ी मामले में क्राइम ब्रांच ने बुधवार को दो आरोपियों के खिलाफ चालान पेश कर दिया। बेरोजगार युवाओं को विदेश भेजने के नाम पर हजारों रुपये की ठगी मामले में पठानकोट के राजविंदर सिंह और अजय कुमार निवासी रामगढ़ (सांबा) पर केस दर्ज है। क्राइम ब्रांच ने पंजाब और अन्य जगहों पर छापामारी कर दोनों को गिरफ्तार किया था।
रामगढ़ के रहने वाले राजेश कुमार ने क्राइम ब्रांच के पास शिकायत दर्ज कराई थी कि 2016 में आरोपियों ने न्यूजीलैंड भेजने के लिए उससे 10 हजार रुपये लिए थे। इसके बाद एक लाख रुपये और मांगे। आरोप है कि पैसे लेने के बाद भी दोनों आरोपियों ने न तो वीजा दिया और न ही पैसे लौटाए। इसके बाद पीड़ित क्राइम ब्रांच पहुंचा। क्राइम ब्रांच ने केस दर्ज कर जांच शुरू की तो ठगी के आरोप सही पाए गए।
