उत्तराखंड में बाबा केदारनाथ धाम की भव्यता को अब और भी ज्यादा बढ़ाने के लिए धाम के गोल प्लाजा में 'ओम' की आकृति को स्थापित किया जाएगा. इस आकृति का वजन 60 क्विंटल है, जिसे कांस्य से बनाया गया है. इस आकृति को धाम में स्थापित करने के लिए जिला आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण के द्वारा ट्रायल को सफलता पूर्वक लिया गया है. अधिकारियों के मुताबिक इस ओम को जरूरी काम पूरा होते ही जल्द से जल्द स्थायी तौर पर स्थापित कर दिया जाएगा.

Despite change on travel plans of US President Joseph Biden, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the G-7 and Quad summit in Hiroshima and then proceed to attend the Indo-Pacific Forum meeting in Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea and round up his travel with a bilateral summit in Australia.
According to top officials, only the venue of Quad summit has been changed from Sydney to Hiroshima to adjust last minute change in plans of President Biden on account of domestic commitment. “Quad preparations are complete, and all the four strategic partners will enhance security of the group by close economic and technological cooperation aimed at building global supply chains and capacity building across the board,” said a senior official.

According to officials, Quad is not a gang up of democratic powers against China but all about mutual economic, technological and security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. That the belligerence of the Xi Jinping regime in the Indo-Pacific is one of the foundation pillars of Quad, there is no doubt.
While US President Biden is also expected to meet PM Modi on the side-lines of the G-7 summit, the two countries along with Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates will announce an MoU very soon on regional integration of the Middle East with road and rail infrastructure as an alternative to China’s Belt Road Initiative (BRI). Decision to this effect was taken in a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Ruler of UAE Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on May 7.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday continued searches in Jammu and Kashmir in the case of terror funding by Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir-- an unlawful association under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Earlier on May 11, the Central anti-terror agency carried out searches in Budgam and Baramulla districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The NIA on May 4 conducted searches at 16 places in Jammu and Kashmir as part of its continuing crackdown on terror funding in Jammu and Kashmir in the case related to separatist and secessionist activities of the banned Jamaat-e-Islami.
Jamaat-e-Islami has been found carrying out terror funding activities in Jammu and Kashmir, even after being declared an unlawful association under the UA(P) Act on February 28, 2019.The NIA had filed a chargesheet in the case in a Special Court, Patiala House, New Delhi, on May 12, 2022, against four accused. It had earlier registered a suo motu case in the matter on February 5, 2021.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने लक्षद्वीप प्रशासन से सवाल किया है कि बच्चों को मिड-डे मील में चिकन और मटन क्यों नहीं दे रहे हैं. जस्टिस अनिरुद्ध बोस और जस्टिस सुधांशु धूलिया की पीठ ने केरल हाईकोर्ट के सितंबर 2021 के फैसले के खिलाफ दायर याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए टिप्पणी की. हाईकोर्ट ने मील से चिकन और मांस को बाहर करने के फैसले को चुनौती देने वाली जनहित याचिका को खारिज कर दिया था. एडिशनल सॉलिसिटर जनरल ने कहा कि बच्चों को सूखे मेवे दिए जा रहे हैं. इस पर कोर्ट ने कहा, "क्या बेहतर है? चिकन और मटन के बजाय वो सूखे मेवे खाएंगे?"

सुप्रीम कोर्ट की पांच जजों की संविधान पीठ ने 11 मई को दिल्ली सरकार और केंद्र के बीच विवाद पर अपना अहम फैसला सुना दिया है. दिल्ली सरकार की वही शक्तियां हैं, जो दिल्ली विधानसभा को मिली हैं. दिल्ली सरकार को सर्विसेज पर विधायी और कार्यकारी अधिकार है. दिल्ली सरकार के पास पुलिस, कानून व्यवस्था और भूमि के मामले में अधिकार नहीं है. यानी इन मामलों को छोड़कर अन्य विभागों के अधिकारियों पर दिल्ली सरकार को नियंत्रण हासिल होगा.

The Governor, BS Koshyari, erred as he concluded that Uddhav lost the majority in the House, the Supreme Court said in a crucial judgment. Two Army soldiers were killed, and four others including an officer have been injured after terrorists triggered an explosive device during an encounter that broke out with the security forces on Friday morning in the Kandi area of Rajouri district, Jammu and Kashmir.
