KATHUA POLICE TRACED OUT 01 MISSING GIRL AND REUNITES HER WITH FAMILY MEMBERS

KATHUA, 11 MAY; Police in Kathua have traced out 01 missing girl who was missing since 30.04.2022 and reunited her with family members.
On 30.04.2022 a missing report was lodged at P/S Kathua by the one of the family member of girl stating therein that her daughter namely Mona D/o Des Raj R/o Janglote Patyari Tehsil & District Kathua is missing. Accordingly a missing report was lodged at P/S Kathua vide GDR No. 06 dated 30.04.2022 and search was started to trace her.Acting instantly on the missing report said girl was traced out vide DDR No. 30 dated 10.05.2022. Thereafter the traced girl was immediately handed over to her legal heirs after completion of all legal formalities.

Kathua, 29 APR; Acting sternly against the drugs menace and its propagators on the overall directions of SSP Kathua Sh. RC Kotwal JKPS, District Police Kathua today arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdictional of PS Kathua near Sabzi Mandi Kathua and recovered 20,000 Tramadol Hydrochloride Tablets & 6,000 Alprazolam intoxicating Tablets alongwith 10 No's of Corex(Codeine Phosphate & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrup) bottles from his illegal possession

On 28.04.2022, as the information received from the reliable source that one person namely Varun Khajuria S/o Madan Lal Khajuria R/o Ward No. 15 Patel Nagar Kathua Tehsil & District Kathua is involved in Drug Peddling and presently coming from Hatli Morh towards Patel Nagar Kathua by foot.Acting on tip off a police party of PP Industrial Estates Kathua led by Insp. Rajinder Khajuria IC PP Hatli alongwith EMIC Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh.Shammi Kumar JKPS laid a special naka/checking duty and apprehended said person who was moving under suspicious circumstances.On through checking, 2,000 strips of "Tramadol Hydrochloride" 100 mg each (containing 20,000 tablets), 100 strips of "Alprazolam" Tablets (Alprasafe 0.5 mg each containing 6000 tablets) & 10 Bottles of "Corex" (Codeine Phospate & Chlorpheniramine Maleate Syrups of 100 ml each)were recovered from his illegal possession.On questioning of accused person he revealed that the drug consignment brought from other state through courier service. Thereafter 01 accused person was arrested alongwith recovered intoxicanting tablets as well as Corex Bottles were seized. In this regard a case FIR No. 164/2022 U/S 08/21/22/NDPS Act registered at PS Kathua and further investigation taken up.

WAR ON DRUGS CONTINUES, NARCOTIC PEDDLER BOOKED UNDER PSA FOR NARCOTIC PEDDLING .

KATHUA, 26 APR; District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal, JKPS, a police team led by Insp. O P Chib SHO P/S Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarter Kathua Sh. Shammi Kumar JKPS, today on 26.04.2022, an infamous narcotics smuggler Daljeet Singh S/o Tarlochan Singh R/o Logate Morh Kathua Tehsil & District Kathua has been apprehended who was evading his arrest and against whom a detention warrant under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PITNDPS) Act- 1988 was issued by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu. In order to prevent the illegal activities in drug trafficking, a dossier was prepared against him and sent to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for his detention under PITNDPS Act- 1988 (PSA). Accordingly Divisional Commissioner, Jammu issued a detention warrant against him under PITNDPS Act and warrant has been executed today and lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal Jammu to curtail his activities in drug peddling so that future of the youth of the district could be saved from the clutches of drug peddlers. Locals of the Kathua district have appreciated the anti-drug initiative of Kathua Police.

KATHUA POLICE NABBED 01 LADY WITH 70 POUCHES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR (180 ML EACH ) AT CHAK DRAB KHAN KATHUA

KATHUA 26 APR: In its decisive action against the consumption/production of illegal liquor menace in the District, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal- JKPS today seized 70 pouches (180 ml each) illicit liquor alongwith 01 lady was arrested in the jurisdictional area of PS Kathua near Chak Drab Khan.

On 26.04.2022 an information was received from the reliable source that illicit liquor is manufactured near Chack Drab Khan and its adjoining areas of PP Nagri.Acting swiftly, police team led by Insp. Balram Sharma IC PP Nagri under the supervision of DySP Headquarter Kathua Sh. Shammi KumarJKPS during special checking/ patrolling duty in said area noticed one suspicious lady who was doing the trade of selling illicit liquor to people of Chak Drab Khan in order to gain illegitimate profit.On physical checking, 70 pouches of illicit liquor (180 ml each) weights approximately 10 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from the illegal possession of lady namely Pooja Devi W/o Lt. Joginder Kumar R/o R/o Chack Drab Khan Tehsil & District Kathua.Thereafter all the recovered consignment of illicit liquor (approx. 10 litres) was seized and 01 lady was arrested.On this instant case vide FIR No. 158/2022 U/S 48(a)/ Excise Act has been registered at PS Kathua and further investigation into this matter has been set into motion.

Training cm Awareness Programme under Kisan Baghidhari Prathmikta Hamari held at Kathua

KATHUA, APRIL 26: Training cm Awareness Programme along with Field visit for farmers was held today at Dayalachack and Billawar sub divisions under 'Kisan Baghidhari Prathmikta Hamari' campaign.

The programme was organised by Agricultural Department as part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav' celebrations.

ADO(Veg.), Kathua Manohar Lal Sharma, during the programme at Pandrar, emphasized the need to achieve 100% KCC saturation of all the eligible farmers, e-KYC of all PM-Kisan beneficiaries and KCC-PMKisan linkage.

On the occasion, farmers were imparted training in Apiculture, Mushroom and Spices cultivation. Subject Matter Specialist (SDL) encouraged the farmers to go for Spices cultivation in the monkey menace affected areas to raise their income.

AEO, Zone Palli and the team members of Agriculture Department educated the farmers about the latest schemes of the Agriculture Department.

PRI Members, field functionaries of Agriculture Department of respective panchayat, besides more than fifty farmers participated in the programme.

In another programme held at Barota, Zone Gujroo Nagrota, Sub-Division Billawar, Deputy Director, ATMA Arun Gupta addressed the farmers. He stressed on e-KYC of PM-Kisan beneficiaries and promotion of cultivation of Spices and Medicinal Plants in the area.

The Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Billawar also gave a detail description about Central Schemes being implemented by the department.

KATHUA POLICE RECOVERED 25 ANDROID MOBILE PHONES OF WORTH INR. ₹ 2,73747.

KATHUA, 25 APR: *Kathua Police with the aim to extend Public Services recovered 25 Android Mobile Phone Handsets with a purchase value of approximate 2,73747 INR for which missing complaints were registered in various Police Stations of District Kathua. SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal-JKPS alongwith Addl.SP Kathua Sh. Suresh Kumar Chib JKPS and other officers today handed over these recovered mobile handsets to their rightful owners. These phones have been recovered by using technical assistance.
*On receiving their missing/lost mobiles phones, the owners felt elated and expressed their gratitude towards Kathua Police and especially to SSP Kathua for their arduous effort in tracing out their missing mobiles.

KATHUA 17 APR: In continuation to take stringent action against the consumption/production of illegal liquor menace in the District, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal- JKPS today seized near about 20 litres of illicit liquor alongwith 02 persons were arrested in the jurisdictional area of PS Kathua near Muthi Jagir and Mirpur Jagoo.

On 16.04.2022 an information was received from the reliable sources that illicit liquor is manufactured in Muthi Jagir and Mirpur Jagoo alongwith other adjoining areas of PP Nagri.Acting swiftly, police team led by Insp. Balram Sharma IC PP Nagri under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh. Shammi Kumar JKPS during special checking/ patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area Near Muthi Jagir noticed one suspicious person who was doing the trade of selling illicit liquor to people in order to gain illegitimate profit.On physical checking approximately 10 litres of illicit liquor was recovered from the illegal possession of person namely Veeru S/o Waryam Singh R/o Muthi Jagir Tehsil Nagri and District Kathua.While in another instance another police team of PP Nagri led by PSI Riaz Ahmed during special checking duty at Mirpur Jagoo noticed one suspicious person who was doing the trade of selling illicit liquor to people of the concerned area in order to gain illegitimate profit.During checking 10 more litres of illicit liquor was recovered from the illegal possession of person namely Chanda Ram S/0 Kartar Chand R/o Mirpur Jagoo Tehsil Nagri. Thereafter all the recovered consignment of illicit liquor (approx. 20 litres) was seized and 02 persons were arrested.On this two different cases vide FIR No. 145/2022 & 146/2022 U/S 48(a)/ Excise Act has been registered at PS Kathua and further investigation into this matter has been set into motion.

Poetry competition organized at GDC Kathua

KATHUA, APRIL 16: Centre for Women Studies, Government Degree College Kathua organized Mushaira cm Poetry competition in collaboration with Departments of Dogri, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi of the college.

Program was organized under the supervision of Principal Prof Raj Kiran Sharma.

Over 20 students as well as teachers of the different department of the college participated in the programme who expressed their ideas in the form of poems, song and shayari.

The program was to commemorate 131 birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

Principal of the college Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma appreciated the initiative taken by CWS and congratulated the students for their creative ideas which they expressed through poems and songs. He also appreciated coordinator CWS, Dr. Rachna under whose supervision program was organized, also suggested to organise more such programs where students will get opportunity to show their talent.

Dr Arti and Dr. Isha also presented their poems.

Other faculty members present include Dr.Seema Malpotra, Dr.Ritu Raj, Dr Seema, Prof. Rajni and Prof. kamla. Members of College women cell were also present in the program.

In the end, formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr Rachna.

Kathua, 16 APR; As a part of Public Outreach Programme, on 15.04.2022 a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was conducted in the jurisdiction of PP Nagri in which large number of respectable citizens, Naib Tehsildar and general public including various ward Members,Sarpanches, Panches, Ex- Panch Ex-Sarpanch, Chowkidar, Namberdar and other respectable persons of the villages viz. Phalote,Sumwan,Padyari,Mahi Chak,Trihara,Buddhi,Measth,Nihalpur etc were participated in Police Community Partnership Group(PCPG) meeting.The meeting was chaired by SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal-JKPS along with DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh. Shammi Kumar JKPS, SHO Kathua Police Station ,IC PP Nagri, and other officials.During the meeting,participants raised some grievances regarding Proliferation of Drugs among Youth,NHAI Accidents issue, illicit liquor,illegal mining etc.They were patiently heard and were assured by SSP Kathua that their geniune grievances shall be addressed as soon as possible so that more and more conducive and peaceful environment can be created in the society.The aim of the meeting was to abridge the gap between public and police administration and to interact with the general public.

Block Divas: ADC Basohli holds Public Outreach Programme at Sananghat

KATHUA APRIL 13: To listen and redress the grievances of common masses, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tilak Raj Thapa today convened a Public Outreach Camp here at Sananghat, Basohli.

SDPO Basholi Shazia Mir, XEN PWD Bharat Gupta, Tehsildar Aman Anand, AEE PMGSY Deepak Kohli, Officers of various departments ,panches ,sarpanches and a large number of people attended the meeting.

During the camp, the PRIs projected the issues of public importance and sought immediate redress of the same.

The People complained about the slow pace of construction work on Zero Morh to Dhar Mahanpur road link by the contractor and demanded processing of fresh tender for early completion of the road.

People from Dhar Jankhar Panchayat demanded construction of a road from Sananghat to Kharana.

The people complained that funds to the tune of Rs.185.23 under SMAGRA were allotted for construction of additional rooms at Govt. Higher Secondary School Sananghat but no work has been started till date. They demanded immediate starting of the construction work.

The people further demanded coverage of eligible left out families under the PMAY scheme.

Sarpanch Dhar Jankhar Madan Lal informed that most of the Bowlies in the area have been renovated and demanded coverage of left out water bodies to improve water availability in the hilly and Kandi areas.

ADC Thapa asked PRI members to get the rest of the Bawalies renovated so that there was no problem of water in the area. He asked the owners whose land has been acquired for construction of Kholi talai - Smoond road link to complete the documents to get the compensation.

The people further demanded Jammu and Kashmir bank branch at Sananghat as they have to cover a long distance to avail the banking facilities.

A deputation of people of Draman Panchayat submitted a memorandum of demands seeking compensation for the land acquired for construction of Tikri to Jamna road.

A number of demands and complaints of the people were resolved on the spot while directions were passed to the concerned officers for redressal of rest of the issues raised during the meeting.

Later ADC Tilak Raj Thapa inspected Patwarkhana building and Govt. Higher secondary school sananghat .

Similar meeting was chaired by Tehsildar Billawar Pankaj Kumar Sharma at PWD Rest House Billawar.

Bani Baisakhi Mela witnesses grand opening, scintillating cultural show enthralls audience

KATHUA, APRIL 13:- The annual Baisakhi mela of Bani started with a grand opening as the inaugural day events attracted scores of people from different parts of J&K besides neighbouring states of Punjab & Himachal Pradesh.

SDM, Joginder Singh Jasrotia, who was the Chief Guest inaugurated the Mela by lighting the traditional lamp. DDC Member Bani Reeta Thakur, Additional Secretary JKAACL Sanjeev Rana were also present on the occasion.

At the outset, the chief guest along with other dignitaries inspected the stalls put up by different departments besides exhibits of local art and craft were also showcased which attracted the visitors.

A scintillating cultural programme depicting local dance, folklore, culture and heritage presented by JKAACL and local artists mesmerized the audience.

Dogri geetdu, Himachali songs and nukkad natak were the main attractions of the Program.

The SDM called for promoting and preserving the indigenous culture of the mountainous belt of Bani which has a distinct identity and culture. He said the mela provides a great opportunity for local artists to exhibit their talent and also offers avenues for their income by selling their artifacts besides disseminating information regarding local art, craft, culture and legacy.

Additional Secretary JKAACL Sanjeev Rana said the academy will continue to come up with similar kinds of events from time to time to promote and conserve the rich cultural heritage of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the Mela also nurtures the talents of local artists and provides them a platform to showcase their talent.

_228 Panchayat secretariats made functional, 248 Panchayats passed GPDP plans in Kathua_

KATHUA, APRIL 09: The activities under Gram Swaraj Month being organised by different departments are in full swing across Kathua District.

The activities are being held as part of the 100 point programme whereby departmental activities are being converged at the Halqa levels to achieve saturation in welfare schemes, work towards creating clean panchayats, enhance public participation and spread mass awareness about the social security schemes, and heritage planning.

Some other activities being organised across the district include the establishment of a Panchayat secretariat; the uploading of data as a part of Digital Panchayats, registration of Panchayat on the GeM portal and other activities.

As informed by ACD Kathua Kishore Singh Katoch, the day long activities carried out by RDD and other concerned departments includes establishment of Panchayat secretariats besides finalization of Panchayat heritage plans.

He informed that a total of 228 Panchayat secretariats have been established in the district and 58 Panchayats have formulated heritage plans to conserve and preserve the heritage/ancient sites.

Under the initiative, 15 Panchayat level Vendors have been registered on GEM portal which will help in purchasing and hiring of services for Rural Development projects.

A total of 149 PMAY AWAS plus cases were processed for necessary sanction whereas 136 PMAY SECC houses have been completed in different blocks of the district.

Further, the job cards under MGNREGA have been fast paced and a total of 190 beneficiaries were enrolled today by field functionaries of the Rural Development Department.

Meanwhile, all 257 Panchayats of the district Kathua have successfully prepared GPDP plans and 248 Panchayats have passed resolutions under Sthapna Diwas Declaration.

Other activities being undertaken at Panchayat halqa level includes Swachhta Abhiyan, Rejuvenation of water bodies, collection and disposal of plastic waste, affixing of boards displaying under ‘Har kaam par naam, saal, lagat’ etc.

DC Kathua inspects conservation work at Chanchlo Mata Temple

KATHUA, APRIL 09: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav today visited Mata Chanchlo Devi Temple, Basohli to take stock of the ongoing conservation works at the historical Shrine.

After paying obeisance at the temple, he inspected the restoration and conservation works of the oldest temple which got damaged in recent times. He passed directions to the executing agency PWD to complete the work within stipulated time as the temple witnesses good footfall of the devotees from across the district and even from neighbouring states.

Pertinently, a portion of the protection wall of Mata Chanchlo Devi Temple was damaged after which the district administration took the matter with the Archives Department for its intervention to safeguard the oldest temple which attracts thousands of regular devotees and tourists every year.

Consequently a plan was sanctioned for Rs 44.27 lakh to execute the conservation work of the damaged part of the iconic temple.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner also visited Churamani Sanskrit Sansthan, Basohli and gave away certificates to recently pass-out students.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said Basohli was a big economic and cultural centre as the area was popular with the name Vishwasthali. He expressed hope that Sanskit Sansthan would help in reconnecting the present generation with our rich cultural heritage and social value system.

KATHUA; 09 APR; Kathua Police while continuing its "War on Drugs" putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace from the society and in consequence District Police Kathua today recovered approx. 16 grams of He**in like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of PS Kathua near Chak Partap Singh; 01 motorbike seized and one person was arrested in this connection.
On the overall directions of SSP Kathua, Sh. R.C Kotwal -JKPS, on 08.04.2022 a police team led by Insp. Rajinder Khajuria IC PP Industrial Estates Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh. Shammi Kumar -JKPS during patrolling duty near Chack Partap Singh noticed the movement of one suspicious motorbike bearing Reg. No. PB06AS-1620 which was being driven by person namely Talib Hussain S/o Kala Din R/o Keerian Tehsil & District Kathua who was enrouted from Magar Khad towards Chak Partap Singh was directed to stop for checking.On Physical search, approximately 16 grams of heroin(chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. Meanwhile all the recovered narcotics substance was seized,01 motorcycle seized and 01 person was arrested.On this ,a case vide FIR No. 128/2022 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation was set into probe.

World Health Day: DC Kathua flags off awareness rally of students, health staff

KATHUA, APRIL 07: On the eve of World Health Day, the Department of Health Kathua organised a rally to raise awareness about the importance of health. The rally was flagged off by the Chief Guest, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Yadav in presence of CMO Dr Radha Krishan and staff of health department.

The rally witnessed huge participation of youngsters besides health staff. The rally with participants holding placards carrying the message of ‘Staying Healthy and adopting healthy lifestyle’ under this years’ theme “Our Planet Our Health,” passed through prominent locations of Kathua town.

Speaking on the occasion, DC Kathua highlighted the need to adopt a healthy lifestyle to keep the diseases at bay. He said youngsters must play an active role in protecting the environment for a healthy living and strive to observe zero tolerance against pollution of any kind to safeguard the planet. Gram Swaraj Abhiyan gains momentum in Kathua

KATHUA, APRIL 07: As part of month long ‘Gram Swaraj Abiyan’ Special Gram Sabhas were conducted in Panchayats across all RDD blocks of Kathua.

The local participants discussed Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and adoption of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in the light of 100 point programme of the government.

The Gram Sabhas were conducted wherein PR functionaries, frontline workers, local youth, besides, public in large numbers participated and discussed various issues of Rural Development including cleanliness, sanitation, augmentation of water supply, good health facilities, better education and other developmental issues.

During the day-long proceedings, 127 panchayat secretariats were established besides finalizing heritage plans, GPD plans, Sthapna diwas declaration etc. Apart from these activities, the participants also took a pledge to achieve clean and plastic free gram Panchayat.

It is pertinent to mention that the month of April is being observed as Gram Swaraj Month with an aim to strengthen the Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) so as to realize the vision of Gram Swaraj viz-a-viz democratic decentralization and saturation of 100 points programme targeted by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir UT.

GDC Mahanpur organises online workshop on “Intellectual Property rights awareness”

KATHUA, APRIL 07: Career Counselling Cell and Research Committee of Government Degree College Mahanpur, in collaboration with Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Office of the Controller General of Patents, Design and Trademark, Govt. of India, organised an Online Workshop on the topic “Intellectual Property Rights Awareness” today.

The event was conducted under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mohatsav’, celebrating India’s 75 years of Independence.

The Workshop was coordinated by Librarian Saurabh Dutta, under the supervision of College Principal Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul.

The proceedings of the workshop were initiated by Dr. Neetika Verma of Department of Political Science who gave a detailed overview of the Workshop.

Principal, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, in his welcome address, emphasized upon the need of sensitizing people about Intellectual Property Rights.

The Examiner of Patents and Designs (NIPAM Office) Arpit Joshi was the Resource Person of the Workshop who presented a detailed PowerPoint Presentation on the subject. He described in detail the five aspects of Intellectual Property besides explaining the relevance, characteristics and the role of Patent, Design, Trademarks, Copyright and SICL Design in the present world.

More than fifty students of college participated in the Workshop.

The faculty members present in the workshop were Dr. Balbindar Singh, Dr. Munisha Devi, Prof. Arvind Kumar, Dr. Parshottam Dass, Dr. Sapna Devi, Prof. Rupalee Jasrotia, Dr. Hilal Bhatt and Dr. Ummer Jaan.

Prof. Rupalee Jasrotia, Department of English, gave the formal Vote of Thanks.

E-Certificates of Appreciation were issued to all the participants of the College from the concerned Ministry.

Placement drive under RUSA held at GDC Kathua

KATHUA, APRIL 07: Committee of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), Government Degree College Kathua in collaboration with LEARNET skills Ltd, organized a facilitation drive for the placement of desirable students who have completed their course under RUSA scheme.

The main aim of the drive was to make students aware about various job opportunities in the private sector.

The Resource Person for the event was Majid from LEARNET Skills Ltd who acquainted the students about prospects of placement under RUSA in J&K and outside J&K.

During the interactive session; students enthusiastically participated in the event with their queries. The whole event was conducted under the supervision of In-charge Principal of the college Prof. Raj Kiran.

Prof. Raj Kiran congratulated the students who have completed their vocational course under RUSA and motivated them to grab the career opportunities and also wished them good luck for their better future.

The event was organized by the Committee constituted for RUSA comprising Prof Anoop Sharma(Convener), Prof.Bharat, Prof. Surbhi Gupta, Dr.Amrik Singh and Prof.Kourab Singh.

The Collating of the event was done by Prof. Surbhi Gupta. Prof. Anoop Sharma concluded the event with the formal vote of thanks. Dr. Rachna Raj, Dr.Ritu Bhagat and Prof. Himani Varma were also present in the event.

KATHUA POLICE FOILS ONE MORE ATTEMPT OF BOVINE SMUGGLING AT LONDI MORH; RESCUED 05 BOVINES AND SEIZED 01 VEHICLE INVOLVED*

Tightening the noose of bovine smugglers within the district, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal JKPS, today rescued 05 bovines in the JD of P/S Hiranagar near Londi Morh and seized 01 vehicle involved
In the wee hours of 07.04.2022 a police team led by Insp. Sunil Kumar SHO PS Hiranagar under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Pankaj Soodan JKPS while on naka checking duty in its jurisdictional area near Londi Morh intercepted one suspicious vehicle (Tata Mobile Load Carrier) bearing Registration No. JK02AU-6818 which was being driven by an unknown person who was signalled to stop for checking.On seeing naka party driver of the vehicle managed to fled away while leaving behind the vehicle abandoned.During checking of the said vehicle, 05 bovines were found loaded in the vehicle mercilessily which were rescued on spot.Thereafter all the 05 bovines (05 Cows) were rescued alongwith seized the vehicle involved.On this an instant case has been registered at P/S Hiranagar vide FIR No. 43/2022 U/S 188/IPC, 11/PCA act while further investigation into this matter has been set into motion

WORLD HEALTH DAY ORGANISED AT DPL KATHUA UNDER THE CHAIRMANSHIP OF DISTT. LEGAL AUTHORITY

KATHUA; 07 APR; On the eve of World Health Day a seminar was organised at the Conference Hall of DPL Kathua under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble District Session Judge Kathua Sh. Jaffer Hussain Beg in which Hon'ble Addl. Session Judge Kathua Sh. Kamlesh Pandita and Hon'ble Chief Judicial Magistrate Ms. Sandeep Kour were resource persons.During the interactive session, SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal JKPS, Addl. SP Kathua, All SDPO's, all SHO's/IC PP's participated in the seminar. During the session NDPS cases were also discussed and a detailed briefing session was held on the eve of World Health Day.

Gram Swaraj Month: RDD organises series of activities across Kathua

KATHUA, APRIL 06: Kathua Unit of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department today organised a series of activities as a part of month-long Gram Swaraj Programme here across all Panchayats of the district.

The field functionaries from Rural Development and other line departments attended the Panchayat Level Gram Sabhas, in which PRIs and the public participated and deliberated upon the issues pertaining to development of rural areas and holding of cleanliness and sanitation drives.

As informed by ACD, Kathua Kishore Singh Katoch, the day long activities included issues related to Holding of Gram Sabhas, Establishment of Panchayat Secretariats, Saturation of PMAY (G) houses besides discussions on developmental issues enshrined in the Government’s 100 points programme, SDGs.

While sharing the details of progress made under Gram Swaraj Programme, the ACD said that 65.17% of the works have been completed under PMAY Awass Plus whereas 134 Gram Sabhas were held wherein resolutions regarding selection of themes were passed. He also informed that 98 Panchayat Secretariats have been established across the district today.

During the day long programme, pledge has been taken by PRIs and other locals regarding Swachh Gaon and achievement of SDG under Gram Swaraj Programme.
