Sushi’s Belly Kept Growing… But She Had No One to Help Her.

When rescuers first found Sushi, they were shocked by her condition. Her abdomen was massively enlarged and filled with fluid, making her body look completely out of proportion.

Despite her condition, Sushi continued to eat and drink. But her belly kept getting bigger and bigger, making everyday life increasingly difficult for her.

Thankfully, rescuers stepped in and brought her to safety. ❤️

Sushi’s story is a reminder that animals on the streets can suffer silently for days, weeks, or even months. Sometimes, all they need is for one person to notice them and make that call. 🐶🙏

Now, Sushi finally has a chance to receive the care she desperately needed.

Shahu’s Journey From Pain to Hope 🐾💔

Shahu was found screaming in unbearable pain after being severely injured in a brutal dog fight.

A kind passerby refused to ignore him and immediately contacted Manali Strays. The rescue team rushed to the spot and brought Shahu to safety. ❤️

He had deep bite wounds and was in extreme pain. His wounds were carefully cleaned and treated, infection was removed, and his injuries were dressed and bandaged. He also received IV fluids, pain relief, and antibiotics.

From fear and pain on the streets to safety and care at the shelter, Shahu finally got the help he desperately needed. 🐕❤️

This rescue is a reminder that one phone call, one caring person, and one rescue team can change an animal’s life.

When Koko was just a tiny baby, her mother died after a tragic electric shock. Suddenly she was alone in a world that felt too big and too frightening.

Rescuers brought her to the shelter, where she slowly began to heal. But there is one person she trusts more than anyone else.

A stray dog was found wandering in visible distress, constantly sneezing and shaking his head. What rescuers discovered next was shocking — a giant leech lodged deep inside his nose. The parasite was painfully attached and difficult to remove, putting the dog at serious risk of infection and breathing complications.

A worried passerby couldn’t ignore what he saw…
A stray dog with a huge lump on his stomach, walking in pain and discomfort. 💔

He was immediately brought to Manali Strays, where the team quickly examined him and started urgent treatment. 🏥🐾

The lump was large, painful, and life-threatening — but thanks to compassion and fast action, this innocent soul finally had a chance at recovery.

RRSA India received a call about a dog chasing people and other animals, trying to bite.

At first, we did not assume rabies, as such behavior can have many causes. Instead of reacting with fear, the community chose compassion over violence.

The team safely rescued him and kept him under observation. Sadly, it was later confirmed that he had rabies.

To prevent further spread, the team immediately vaccinated all animals in the surrounding area.

This incident reminds us why awareness, timely reporting, observation, and vaccination are so important.

Rabies is preventable — but only if we act responsibly.

Jeshy is a brave dog who suffered a severe jaw injury after a tragic road accident.
The accident left her weak, traumatized, and unable to eat, causing extreme weight loss and deep fear of humans.

During the rescue, Jeshy was scared and aggressive, trying to escape despite her painful jaw injury. After being safely rescued, she received urgent medical treatment, including jaw fixation with sutures, followed by proper rest, medication, and a liquid diet.

But healing her jaw was only the beginning.

The real challenge was helping Jeshy overcome her trauma and fear of people. Through patience, gentle care, food, and play, she slowly began to trust again. Small behavioral changes showed big hope.

Jeshy’s journey proves that healing takes more than medicine — it takes compassion, patience, and love.
