Mayaa was brought to the shelter in a horrible state today. It broke our hearts to see that someone spilt boiling hot oil over her. She has sustained severe burn injuries and is scarred forever.
She’s now under our care, receiving the best possible treatment we can administer. She’s on antibiotics, supplements and painkillers and her treatment is going to be long.

Gia is a young female rescued by Saahas for animals with full-blown ascites.
Ascites means that her abdomen is filled with fluids. It can happen due to many reasons like liver dysfunctions, heart diseases, irregular protein levels, etc.
The treatment usually depends on the cause. the rescuers were going to get her diagnosed. She’s going to get a USG, blood work and any other tests deemed fit by the vets.
A dog with full ASCITIS was admitted to Saahas today. He appeared critical at arrival so we didn’t do any initial treatments as we thought that his liver might be impaired causing fluid in his abdomen

We don't understand why so many people are willing to give up such beautiful amiable, and utterly affectionate dogs.
