A particularly huge amount of time and effort was poured into bringing Obstreperous to life.

The idea of Obstreperous was Conceived as a Homage to the Culture we call our own. It represents our profound respect and admiration for the movement and our community. The vision is to create a forum for the Bassheads to gather and just be noisy and out of control. A sanctuary of blissful chaos.

Our only intent was to keep this very technically curated and precision driven. Something that would appeal to the New Age Psy as we'd like to call it and bring to you; and since that can be the only differentiator to keep us at the forefront in pioneering the movement.

With that being said, We would love to Express our Gratitude to each and every one of you freaks who joined us at Dream forest. Your presence made sure all our efforts were put in the right direction and fuel us for what lies in the future. And at the end of this, just one thing we'd like to say is that the next edition is in the works and is on it's way.

The journey to Obstreperous will be guided by some of the finest artists from all across the world, but it would be incomplete without some of Akkadian Project's very own artists, who have been with us on this journey as we build our legacy, while paying homage to the legacy of our culture.

WORLD DEBUT -

We are proud to announce that Obstreperous will be hosting the World Debut of Necroboro, the collaborative project created by two veterans in our culture, NecroPsycho and Oroboro. This is going to be a gift for all of us true audiophiles.

The two pioneers of psytrance music from Brazil and Germany are joining forces in Goa, India to grace the console at Obstreperous, which aims to pay homage to our culture! The sonic frequencies of this project are going to be unique and surreal as the sounds of NecroPsycho, inspired by ndustrial, Rock n Roll, Drum n Bass and Tribal, are combined with the sounds of Oroboro, which are inspired by his upbringing with a classical and jazz background.

We are hyped to see you at Obstreperous, as we get together to witness the World Debut of Necroboro!

The idea for Obstreperous was created out of the need for a forum for true audiophiles. As the journey towards it's physical manifestation began, we felt that it should not just be one of the best benders happening this season, but it should also be an incubator for the limitless expression of creative minds!

A bender like this would be incomplete without a carefully curated Line-Up of audio virtuosos, guiding you on this journey of freedom. But without our culture, and pioneers who paved the way for its growth, we would not have been free to go against the conventions and be our true selves.

With Obstreperous, we aim to get together with artists and musicians from all across the world, to pay homage to this culture of ours.

Akkadian Project, Mad Muzik and the entire Obstreperous team convey our condolences to everyone affected by the tragedy that took place at Universo Paralello. We do not have any political or religious stance in the matter, and simply aim to spread peace and love amongst the electronic music community across the world.

This culture that we represent, has always strived to bring humans together through the medium of music. We gather together to embrace our inner creativity and positive energy through artistic expression. Our culture has never spread negative vibrations in any form, so it brings us pain to witness such a tragedy.

In this journey to Obstreperous, we have shared messages that best represent what we stand for. As we proceed with the event, we want to share one last message that is of utmost importance to us, Obstreperous is 'A Sincere Homage to the Culture'. The culture that allows us to be ourselves and create true happiness.

This is not just a bender, but a tribute to the organizers and labels who pioneered this culture simply based on the love they had for it, without money being a motivating factor. Due to their efforts, our community of outcasts and misfits has an identity today. Owing to their relentless passion, we strived through all the restrictions that we face. We are here to pay our respects and gratitude to all the founders and innovators of the scene, who allowed us to be Obstreperous.

We will be making some major announcements soon and we hope that through Obstreperous, we can heal and grow together.

ARTIST - The next artist we present for the Obstreperous 2024 Line-Up is Pineapple Head from Brazil, the forest psychedelic trance project started by Lucas Mac' Allyster. What makes Pineapple Head especially unique is that Lucas is a multi-instrumentalist and singer who has been producing alternative rock and Indie music since 2016. He is currently studying electronic music production while blasting sets at raves like Galactic Groove Gathering and Down the Rabbit Hole! It's going to be one crazy bender when he blasts his set at Obstreperous.
