Kashmiri youth's aspiration towards Nation-Building puts divisive leaders in frustration in Valley: Kavinder

Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister today launched a scathing attack on certain political leaders in the Kashmir Valley who are unable to accept the changing mindset of the Kashmiri youth, who are increasingly aligning themselves with nation-building rather than divisive ideologies.
Speaking to media persons after attending a meeting at Party Headquarters here today, the senior BJP leader hailed the recent decision of the kin of two prominent separatist leaders in Kashmir, Sama Shabir and Ruwa Shah, to distance themselves from separatist outfits, calling it a significant step towards peace and prosperity. By doing so, they have not merely shown symbolically but also practically validated the aspirations of the youth of Kashmir, who yearn for a conflict-free and stable future, he added.
β€œUnder the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kashmir has witnessed a massive transformation, and the youth no longer want to be a part of divisive politics perpetuated by certain Valley-based parties,” he added.
Kavinder highlighted that repealing of Article 370 marked the end of the era of stone pelting and strike culture in Kashmir. Today's youth are eager to actively participate in nation-building, as they envision a prosperous future under the present Central Government. With the removal of barriers and the implementation of progressive policies, the youth of Kashmir are determined to leave behind the tumultuous past and embrace a future filled with opportunities and growth, he added.
He strongly lambasted the reaction of PDP leader Mehbooba M***i, whose frustration is evident due to her party's absence from power after enjoying it for two generations in Jammu and Kashmir. He stated that Mehbooba is amongst several leaders who have lost their political ground, not only across the Union Territory of J&K but also within their constituencies.
The senior BJP leader asserted that such leaders see no hope of returning to power and therefore, believe that they can gain support through divisive tactics. However, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are not fooled by their game plans. In the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the Union Territory, the voters will be the ultimate judge and will serve a fitting response to those running on divisive agendas, he added.
The former deputy Chief Minister emphasized the need for unity, progress, and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir, and urged the youth to aspire towards nation-building and a brighter future for themselves and their fellow citizens.

Unmatchable infra dev reflects Modi govt’s holistic dev agenda for J&K: Zorawar, Balbir

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today said that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed unprecedented and unmatchable development since the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre took over the reins in 2014.
β€œOur party embarked on a mission to usher in unprecedented development in Jammu and Kashmir, aiming to transform the region’s socio-economic landscape. The BJP’s unwavering commitment to development in J&K post Article-370 abrogation has marked a transformative phase for the region,” said BJP leader and Co-Incharge, Jammu – Reasi-Samba Parliamentary Constituency, while slamming the opposition parties for their unfounded statements on infrastructural development in the Union Territory.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal said Jammu and Kashmir is the only Union Territory of the country where two AIIMS-like institutions have been established, while the opening of IIT, IIM, new medical colleges at district level and other prestigious institutions is the clear reflection of the holistic development agenda of the Modi government to create not only a brighter future for the people of J&K but also ensuring their integration into the mainstream of country’s growth story.
He also referred to the record-breaking tourist footfall in Jammu and Kashmir during the year 2023 when an increase of over 350 percent in foreign tourists was recorded while a highest ever of 2.11 crore tourists visited the Union Territory.
Co-Incharge, Balbir Ram Rattan, said the transformative change on the ground post-abrogation of Article 370 could be gauged from the fact that Jammu and Kashmir did not witness a single incident of stone pelting in 2023 while there was a 66 percent decline in terrorist incidents and an 81 percent drop in civilian killings.
β€œThe statistics are a testimony to the established peace and tranquility in the region which used to witness bloodbath, stone-pelting, and shutdowns on any given day due to misrule and mis-governance of the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre and the dynasty politics encouraged by the two families of Kashmirβ€”Abdullah and M***i families. The credit of this remarkable change on ground should be credited to the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister,” he said.
While addressing the meeting of party workers and leaders at district headquarter, Supwal, in Samba district, the leaders called upon party cadre to further speed up door to door campaign so that every citizen must be apprised of developmental works initiated by Modi led government at Centre and ensure hat trick of BJP in ensuing Parliamentary elections.
The meeting was also addressed by Constituency Vistarak, Inderjeet Sharma, District President Th. Kashmira Singh, District Vice President Advocate Jitender Sharma, District General Secretary Narinder Singh, District Media Secretary Swatantar Singh, District Spokesperson, Parveen Lata, Office Secretary Ranjeet Singh Salathia, Onkar Padha, District General Secretary, Mukul Padha, Social Media Incharge, Akshay Choudhary IT Incharge, Mohinderpal Bikka, Kisan Morcha District president, Narinder Singh, Kisan Morcha District General Secretary, Rajesh Upadhayaya, Ghagwal Mandal president and others.
