Gangtok, July 11(IPR): The rock band Girish and the Chronicles(GATC), originally from Sikkim, has successfully wrapped up their Europe tour.
The band comprises of Girish Pradhan (vocals), Suraj Karki (guitar), Yogesh Pradhan (bass), and Nagen Mangranti (drums). They have successfully established themselves as India's representative in the global rock music scene.
Their month-long musical journey began with a remarkable gig at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on June 1st, 2023.
As the special guest band, the Sikkimese quartet shared the stage with the legendary American rock band, Guns N Roses. The GATC described this gig as the highlight of their music career, expressing their excitement to perform alongside their all-time favourite rock 'n roll heroes. They expressed immense pride to represent Sikkim and India.
Following the historic show in Abu Dhabi, the Ride to Hell Tour, 2023 took them to four European nations: Switzerland, France, Belgium, and Spain.They are thrilled to have been invited to Switzerland for the third consecutive time and to Spain's world-famous Zurbaran Rock Festival for the second consecutive year, playing to enthusiastic crowds.
The GATC performed to enthusiastic audiences at various venues, including Rocknacth in Bad Bremgarten and Summerside Festival in Grenchen, both in Switzerland. They also played at Met Bar in Lenzburg, La Brat Cave in Lille (France), Asgaard in Ghent (Belgium), Revi Live in Madrid, the annual Zurbaran Rock Festival in Burgos, Escenario in Santander, and Salason in Cangas Do Morrazo (Spain).
After a short five-day break, the band will fly back to the UAE, where they will set the stage ablaze at Fusic Lounge in Dubai in mid-July.
Girish and the Chronicles has established itself as the finest rock band ever produced in Sikkim. Over the years, they have effectively showcased the musical talent of India and Sikkim to the world.
