Muslim leaders urge govt to kickstart Ramzan fest work

WITH less than a month left for the holy month of Ramzan, no arrangements were taken up by the govern- ment for the smooth conduct of the 30-day holy month. Muslim leaders urge the gov- ernment to take up work and initiate it before the Model Code of Conduct of Lok Sabha elections. Moreover, Akbaruddin Owaisi asked the government to release the minorities grant aid funds. of Rs 105 crore, which were sanctioned by the previous government in the year 2021, as no amount has been re- leased since then.

It has been observed that for the last few years, in the holy month, there were no proper arrangements by the government for the Muslims. In a majority of mosques, including historic Mecca Masjid and Shahi Masjid, among others, there were no proper arrangements, no re- pair works, and lacked basic

facilities during Ramzan due

to a lack of budget.

take up work in over 1,000 Wakf institutions, including mosques, dargahs, and other Islamic institutions.

But it was witnessed that for the last few years, no funds were released and there were no repair works in these institutions, including mosques.

"Since the lockdown, in the holy month of Ramzan, Muslims are facing innumer- able difficulties in mosques, including major mosques like Mecca Masjid and Sha- hi Masjid, where several thousand Muslims gather to offer prayers in the holy month. No basic facilities

like enough drinking water, fans or coolers (as the holy month was observed during the harsh summer season) were made available," he pointed out.

On several occasions, the issue has been kept before the government, but it has failed to provide basic facili- ties. "Each year, in the name of the Ramzan budget, the government sanctions the amount, but no works were taken up, and for the last few years, no repair works were taken up. Muslims, with their donations, are taking up work in these institutions," said Asif Hussain.

Most importantly, the ar- rangement of iftar was also sidelined in Mecca Masjid and Shahi Masjid, citing a lack of funds. Muslims take their own food to break their fast. The government failed to provide basic ne- cessities for Muslims in the holy month. We demand the present government provide enough budget," said Mo- hammed Ahmed, another

activist. MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, in the Assembly budget ses- sion, also raised the issue and urged the Congress govern- ment to release the grant in aid that was sanctioned by

the government. He said that under the continuous rep- resentation of the MIM, the government holds Ramzan preparatory meetings and sanction funds, but funds were not released and no works were taken up till now. Akbar said, "In support

of MIM GO.81 (3-11-2021), a grant of Rs 105 crore was made available for the reno- vation and repair of 1,000 Wakf institutions. The State Finance Department released the funds to the relevant dis- trict collectors so they could begin work on the various Wakf institutions, but most of the places have not yet be- gun. Therefore, I am request- ing that the state government release the funds, carry out the work, and finish it before Ramadan begins."

Akbar said each year MIM asks the government to hold preparatory meetings, which are conducted only a week before the Ramzan. After the meetings, they take propos- als, and no work is taken up and kept pending. "I urged the government to call a meeting as early as possible, and before the Parliamen- tary election code, he said that following the code, no funds would be released and work would be confined this Ramzan too," he said.

About 11,000 pilgrims from Telangana State State Hajj Committee will depart for the holy pilgrimage this time. It has happened for the first time that such a large number of pilgrims will depart from the embargo point of Hyderabad. Apart from Telangana, pilgrims from the neighboring states of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu can also depart from here. Liaquat Hussain, Executive Officer of the State Hajj Committee, told Media that those pilgrims whose names have been drawn in the lottery should submit the first installment by February 15, 2024. Counters have been set up on the ground floor of the Hajj Houses to guide the pilgrims.

Sub: Haj 2024 (Hijri 1445) - Extension in the last date for deposit of Advance Haj Amount.

The Advance Haj amount @ Rs.81,800/- by the provisionally selected pilgrims of Haj- 2024 was to be deposited by 09.02.2024 as per the Circular No.06 dated 30.01.2024. Now, representations and requests being received from State Haj Committees, various organisations and individuals to extend the date for depositing the Advance Haj amount. In view of this, the last date for depositing the Advance Haj Amount is now hereby extended upto 23:59 hours of 15.02.2024.

2. After depositing the Advance Haj Amount, the Provisionally Selected pilgrims shall submit the following documents to concerned State/UT Haj Committees on or before 19.02.2024.

a) Haj Application Form (HAF)

b) Solemn Declaration & Undertaking

c) A copy of the pay-in-slip/ online receipt

d) Medical Screening and Fitness Certificate (as per format available on the website i.e. hajcommittee.gov.in)

e) Original International Machine-readable passports.

*IMPORTANT INFORMATION*

*How to prepare for CAA, NPR & NRC?*

Justice Mr. G. M. Akbar Ali explained CAA, NPR & NRC very accurately and clearly. Please read this description carefully and share with others.

*How can a person be legally certified as an Indian under the 1955 Citizenship Act?*

Do each of the following:

1. Write down the *Date of Birth* of everyone in the house.

2. Divide it into three categories:

A. Those born before July 1, 1987

B. Those born between July 1, 1987 and December 31, 2004

C. Those born after December 31, 2004.

3. Now, make sure that those born before July 1, 1987 have either a birth certificate or a passport. If so, they are directly Indians by birth. No other evidence is required.

4. All those born after July 1, 1987 must ensure to have a birth certificate. If they have,

A. Make sure that one of the parents born between July 1987 and December 2004 is Indian.

B. Make sure that one of their parents' birth, name and other details in the passport exactly match with birth certificate. If so, they are also Indians by descent. No other proof is required.

5. Both parents of persons born after December 2004 must be Indian and their names must match exactly in their certificates. If so, they are also of Indian descent. No other proof is required.

Based on the above, each person should check at home and take the list of those who do not have a passport or birth certificate.

*To get a passport,* Aadhar Card, Pan Card or Ration card can be submitted and get a passport. It's easy.

*To get birth certificate:*

1. If you were born in a hospital, go to the Area Village / Taluka / Corporation office where the hospital is located and apply with details. The cost is only 200 rupees. Its available easily.

2. If born at home,

Prepare an affidavit with notary attestation stating that there is no birth certificate and submit it at your village / taluk / corporation office. They will give a proof that there is no birth certificate. Submit it to the District Court. A fine of 200 per year will be charged and the certificate be provided.

That's all.

*مندرجہ ذیل کام کرلیں:*

۱۔ اپنے گھر میں موجود ہر فرد کی تاریخ پیدائش نوٹ کر لیں۔

۲۔ ان تاریخ پیدائش کو تین حصوں میں تقسیم کرلیں۔

الف) وہ جو یکم جولائی 1987 سے پہلے پیدا ہوئے۔

ب) وہ جویکم جولائی 1987 اور 31 دسمبر 2004 کے درمیان پیدا ہوئے۔

ج) وہ جو 31 دسمبر 2004 کے بعد پیدا ہوئے۔

۳۔ جو لوگ یکم جولائی 1987 سے پہلے پیدا ہوئے ہیں، وہ اس بات کو یقینی بنائیں کہ ان کے پاس پیدائش کا سرٹیفکیٹ یا پاسپورٹ میں سے کوئی ایک لازمی طور پر ہو۔ اگر ان میں سے کوئی ایک ان کے پاس موجود ہے تو، ان کو پیدائشی طور پر براہ راست ہندوستانی مانا جائے گا۔ ان کو کسی اور ثبوت کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔

٤۔ یکم جولائی 1987 کے بعد پیدا ہونے والے تمام افراد اس بات کو یقینی بنائیں کہ ان کے پاس پیدائش کا سرٹیفکیٹ ضرور موجود ہو۔ اگر ان کے پاس پیدائش کا سرٹیفکیٹ ہے تو:

الف) والدین میں سے کوئی ایک جو جولائی 1987 اور دسمبر 2004 کے درمیان پیدا ہوا ہے وہ ہندوستانی ہونا چاہیے۔
ب) ان کے والدین میں سے کسی کا سن پیدائش یا نام، پیدائش کے سرٹیفکیٹ اور پاسپورٹ پریکساں ہونا چاہیے۔ اگر ایسا ہے تو، وہ بھی نسل کے لحاظ سے ہندوستانی مانے جائیں گے۔ کسی اور ثبوت کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔

۵۔ 31 دسمبر 2004 کے بعد پیدا ہونے والے افراد کے والدین اگر (شہریت ایکٹ 1955 کے مطابق) ہندوستانی ہوں اور ان کے نام ان کے سرٹیفکیٹ سے میچ ہورہے ہوں تو وہ بھی نسلا ہندوستانی ہیں۔ کسی اور ثبوت کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔

مذکورہ تفصیلات کی بنیاد پر ہر شخص اپنے گھرکا جائزہ لے اور ان لوگوں کی فہرست بنالے جن کے پاس پاسپورٹ یا پیدائش کا سرٹیفکیٹ نہیں ہے۔

*پاسپورٹ بنوانے کے لیے:*
آدھار کارڈ، پین کارڈ اور راشن کارڈ کے ذریعہ پاسپورٹ بنوایا جاسکتا ہے۔ یہ زیادہ مشکل کام نہیں ہے۔

*پیدائش کا سرٹیفکیٹ بنوانے کے لیے:*

الف) اگر آپ کی پیدائش اسپتال میں ہوئی ہے تو، اس علاقہ/ گاؤں/ تعلقہ/ کارپوریشن آفس جائیں جہاں وہ اسپتال واقع ہے اور اپنی تفصیلات کے ساتھ وہاں درخواست دیدیں۔ یہ کام بھی آسانی سے ہوجاتا ہے۔ اس کی فیس صرف ۲۰۰ روپئے ہے۔

ب) اگرآپ گھر میں پیدا ہوئے ہیں تو، نوٹری تصدیق کے ساتھ ایک حلف نامہ تیار کرلیں کہ آپ کے پاس پیدائش کا سرٹیفکیٹ نہیں ہے۔ پھر اسےاپنے گاؤں/ تعلقہ/ کارپوریشن آفس میں جمع کردیں۔ اس آفس سے آپ کو اس بات کا ثبوت فراہم کیا جائے گا کہ آپ کے پاس واقعی میں پیدائش کا سرٹیفکیٹ نہیں ہے۔ اس ثبوت کوآپ ڈسٹرکٹ کورٹ میں جمع کروادیں۔ وہاں آپ سے 200 روپئے سالانہ کے اعتبار سے جرمانہ وصول کر کے سرٹیفکیٹ فراہم کردیا جائے گا.

بس کام مکمل!

اگر اس طرح سے آپ کا کام ہوگیا ہو تو کم از کم ایک گھروالوں کی ان کے کاغذات بنوانے میں آپ بھی مدد کریں اور ان سے بھی کہیں کہ وہ کسی دوسرے اورکی مدد کریں۔ ان شاء اللہ اس طرح سےہم معاشرے میں کسی کو چھوڑے بغیر ہر ایک کے ہندوستانی ہونے کی قانونی دستاویز بنا سکتے ہیں۔

An amount of Rs. 9,07,02,000/- (Rupees Nine Crore Seven Lakh and Two Thousand Only) under the Scheme of Constructions and Renovation has been released to (136) Waqf Institutions of Nagar Kurnool, Mahaboobnagar and Jagtial Districts.
