Press Statement

The Citizen Action Party - Sikkim convened a final meeting of the manifesto committee in Gangtok today. The meeting served as a platform for comprehensive discussions and deliberations on various pertinent topics slated to feature in the citizens manifesto, scheduled for release soon.

Chaired by Shri Bharat Basnett, President of the Citizen Action Party, and attended by key figures including Shri Dawcho Lepcha Co-President, Shri Ganesh Rai, Chief Coordinator & CM candidate 2024, Shri L. P. Kafley, Chairman, Election Campaign Committee, Shri BM Ramudamu, Senior Advisor, Shri DB Chauhan Working President (Org) as well as Working Presidents and members of the Manifesto Committee, the meeting saw robust exchanges of ideas and perspectives aimed at shaping a visionary and inclusive manifesto reflective of the aspirations of the people of Sikkim.

The discussions encompassed a wide array of issues spanning governance, socio-economic development, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation, among others. The Citizens Manifesto has been prepared after consultation with all stakeholders ranging from Party Members, Citizens across the state, scholars etc.

The Manifesto Committee expressed its commitment to ensuring that the manifesto reflects the party's unwavering dedication to serving the interests of the people and advancing the cause of inclusive and accountable governance in Sikkim.

The Citizen Action Party - Sikkim remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a transparent, participatory, and responsive democratic process, and looks forward to presenting a forward-looking manifesto that embodies the collective aspirations and aspirations of the citizens of Sikkim.
