Cha-ching 💸

On the day of Brahmastra’s release, the shares of PVR and INOX went down by 5% because the film was preemptively labelled disappointing. But if there is a group of people more fickle than movie going audiences, it is investors.

After Brahmastra cracked 100 crore at the box office in its first weekend, the stocks of PVR and Inox rallied back to add 650 crore to investor’s wealth. Everyone won, especially the audiences that wanted to watch a spectacle on the big screen. 🎇
