The 94th Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, honored not only the best films and performances of 2021, but also it gave a special tribute to the 'Godfather' trilogy. To mark the 50th anniversary of the film's release, director Francis Ford Coppola, star actor Al Pacino and Godfather 2 star Robert De Niro appeared at the Oscars.
'The Godfather' made the history in world cinema. The film, based on the novel Mario Pujo, won an Oscar in 1982. Marlon Brando won the Oscar for Best Actor for his outstanding performance, but he declined the award. Mario Pujo and Francis Ford Coppola won Oscars for Best Screenplay. The film also received other Oscar nominations in seven other categories.
