Accordingly , District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra organised a special distribution ceremony for the same at Tezpur Girls Higher Secondary School on 03rd November, 2023 in the presence of CEO Zilla Parishad Karabi Saikia Karan, ADC Kabita Kakati Konwar, District Sports Officer and other officials. The girls hockey team expressed their immense gratitude and joy on receiving the special gift from the Chief Minister himself.

The fast-track court of additional sessions judge Sonitpur Nisanta Goswami on October 27 sentenced a 26-year-old man to life imprisonment for the murder of a 52 year old man. A fine of Rs 5,000 was also imposed on the accused, which further undergo imprisonment for six months. The accused also received a Rs 5,000 fine and an additional six-month imprisonment.

Assam police recover handmade Granades.
Based on an input provided by Military Intelligence ECIB, Assam Police launched a joint operation at Nama Paghali village under Samaguri PS in Nagaon district and team recovered eight hand made grenades ( belonging to ANEs ) infront of the resident of Khairul Islam.
A case has been registered under explosive substance Act 1908 in Samaguri PS in Nagaon district.
