Quarantine has been the perfect excuse to go down the memory lane, and discover all over again, the many reasons why we befriended the rascals we call friends. Lets raise a toast to all the apps - Zoom, Whatsapp, Hangouts & Skype - for the many special hours of video meetups with our near and dear ones.

Those with the foresight to stock enough liquor to last the lockdown are truly the happiest, and most envied by their friends. Quarantine Royalty are those in whose homes liquor flows...

Our home, during Quarantine, has become a complete Universe to explore, with many exciting mysteries to unravel everyday. We are constantly discovering all the nooks and crannies in our abode, and the various fantastic creatures we share them with.

24/04/2020

All the time spent on the bed during Quarantine has made us into sloth bears moving minimally only when needed! The only way to fit into our clothes after the lockdown, is to find excuses to move, move and move.

For most, Lockdown means developing an intimate relationship with their Beds. They are constantly exploring the multiple uses of their beds by spending long hours wallowing in it.
Bed is the furniture now for every reason and every season!

You realize how much you miss somebody only when they are away from you... and boy are we missing our domestic help! We always took them for granted, and now when we have to step in to do what they did, we know that they were divine beings sent to make our lives so comfortable. And for those who still have them around... U lucky %*^@, surely you are reaping the benefits of good karma...

For the Millennials (Zomatoites and Swiggians) who lived on ordering-in and dining-out, Quarantine has been a rude wakeup call to awaken the chef within. Cooking has become a survival skill, so lets unleash the MasterChef in us...

Who would have thought that there will be a time, when passing time will become so difficult. For many, lockdown is like imprisonment, where an hour seems like ages and time stands still. Guess this is what Einstein meant by Time Dilation, which is now evident to us common folks!

The world has come to a standstill due to the novel COVID-19. It's very disheartening to see what is currently going on in the world. Needless to say that we are all in this together and shall overcome it soon. But we should be thankful to some people who despite in between all this chaos have shown bravery and are working tirelessly to make the world normal again.
Not all heroes wear capes. The biggest example of this phrase are the invisible supporting the very visible. These are people who are working under such critical circumstances and cannot sit at home as their work is counted under the essential services. These are people making sacrifices beyond their call of duty. We are very thankful to our gatekeepers, pharmacy staff, shopkeepers, delivery staff, vegetable and fruit vendors, people working at the petrol pumps, the media and social workers for putting their nation first helping their fellow citizens. We salute you.

Our streets and roads have gone quiet, and businesses and schools have closed, as we isolate ourselves from each other, the world has come to a halt. But essential workers still leave the home, to keep us safe, to keep us fed, to keep us healthy. From hospital staff to supermarket workers we are very grateful and thankful for all your efforts.
The least we could do in order to return their favour is, to stay at home. Play your part right to save lives.

The novel COVID-19 has paralysed the entire world. It has been ruthless without discriminating between the rich and the poor and is continuing to make everyone it's prey.
As the human race is facing the one of the biggest and most difficult challenges of the 21st century, some people out there are giving their all to make sure we win this battle against the deadly disease.
As the first phase of lockdown has ended we want to thank some of the bravehearts.
We're so thankful to the frontline heroes - the doctors, the nurses, paramedics and everyone in the healthcare services, our law and order and our paramilitary forces, and the public utility sevice workers for their undying spirit and selflessness to contain the pandemic for the nation. We salute you!

Hey everyone ! My name is Anvi Shetty and I’m a resident of Mumbai. Something that keeps me going is my love for dance. Lockdown has been tough for each and everyone of us but I personally feel that doing something you absolutely love will keep you sane . Well at least dancing does that for me ! I started off by learning Bharatnatyam when I was 6 years old and ever since then I’ve been exploring new and different dance forms. I truly believe that dance is the hidden language of the soul and it brings out my emotions and helps me to express myself in a magical way. Dancing not only challenges me but also never fails to bring out the best in me. To sum up I would just like to say that forget about your troubles and just dance! .

Rashika Suri - A Storyteller.
With whatever I do, be it painting, sketching, poetry, creative writing, dancing or healing... Well, YES, there is no story without an unhealed emotion, you will find a story hidden behind. All you have to do is seek with an open eye.
The dust of charcoal or the smell of oil in the paints sparks the passion of art in me. I would like to highlight one of my very favorite quotes that I have written, “our body is a cage for the soul that wishes to fly”. Yes, the extraordinary is about to happen.
In this time, when we all are locked down for our own good, I have started on a new project which will embark on the beginning of something new for me. It's a secret for now, but I'll drop a hint! It's related to poetry and art illustration. This quarantine has made me more focused on my passion and what I actually expect out of me. I might be out of my art supplies already, but it's the spark that pushes me away from any boundaries.

I am also a strong-headed marketing professional with a BA(J&MC) focused in Mass Communication.

Let’s communicate at https://instagram.com/artlusive_?igshid=1eip9xg36i3ja
You’ll like it or you’ll leave it, but either way, I’ll learn something out of it.

There's a solution for every problem. But it's not necessary the solutions will always be to our liking.

As a Alternative Healing Practitioner and Life Coach, I am able to see situations and the people involved from different perspectives. And it is these perspectives that I share to help people heal and overcome the tough times.
Here's another - Emotions are not meant to be judged, they are meant to be felt, to be experienced. What may seem like an insurmountable mountain to you, may seem like a speed breaker to someone else. But that does not mean your pain is not valid or appropriate. It infact shows you which emotional muscle, which mindset you need to build.
This lockdown for me is an opportunity to reach out to more people; people who otherwise did not have time for themselves. Each one of us is suddenly functioning at a different pace. And it is my hope and endeavour that when this lockdown ends, we will maintain this new pace, we will sustain this new rhythm instead of falling into old ways of being.

Hello everyone! My name is Priya Chawla. I am software developer by profession and artist by heart. I love to play with colors and charcoals. I like to sketch the world on sheets and paint my thoughts on the canvases. The process of presenting an idea by representing them without words is breathtaking and peaceful at the same time.
We're currently facing the biggest crisis as a part of the human race and I wish we overcome it soon. And in order to overcome this, we all need to contribute our bit for a better future by staying home and hygienic. Also, it is very important to stay positive in these times. And hence, I have decided to give my time to my art which brings peace to me and helps me stay optimistic. Because of the lockdown I now have the time to work on each and every detail, to have more perfection in every stroke. I will make sure to benefit the most out of this quarantine and experiment with different and unique techniques.

Hey everyone... You're looking at Meghna in the picture. Meghna who really loves music, writes music, sing music covers. I'm a budding journalist and singer-songwriter by passion. I've been doing music covers since 3 years. Music is an art through which I express myself. I've been singing since young age and began writing my own lyrics last year.
In this quarantine period, I'm working more on my music. Listening to new genres, writing my third album plus doing more music covers. I'm getting full time for exploring my passion.
I suggest you to make the most out of this lockdown and find what you love and drive the world with it.

Hola amigos! I'm Shriya!
With all my heart, I wish that you are in the pink of health. The world may have come to a standstill, but it is heartening to look at most of us cling onto silver linings. I deem it an optimistic approach to sit back, ponder, explore, and drive oneself to pursue long lost hobbies and/or develop new ones!

Trust you me, I have finally found the time and headspace to pen down poetry again! I spend my wee hours meditating (just picked up this uber practice, and m lovin' it!) and working out (nah, not as dedicatedly as those celebs!) This leaves me with a large part of the day to write and relinquish my thoughts. Paper and pen qualify as essentials to my favorite getaway! Writing brings me peace, and when I have had enough of it, I crack eggs, stir some chocolate, and treat my fam (and my tummy) with sweet nothings! Oh! I love baking too; I think it is a really yummy hobby!
Recently, I also unleashed my thoughts on a canvas with some acrylic paint. Now while I am not a pro at any of this, I am definitely in the pursuit of happiness and that is what matters! Yes, we got to , and while we do, let us make the most of it!
P.S. - Catch up with my posts on GenY Lifestyles, and do share your experiences with me.

Hi! I'm Aparna Surte. My job as a consultant took me to every corner of the US and I found myself cooking and recreating many dishes from all the amazing world cuisines I was able to taste on my travels. It was rapidly becoming more obvious that I was obsessing more about the right percentage of acidity in my Nuoc Cham rather than my reports and spreadsheets. There had to be a better way to use my eye for detail, artistic sensibilities and self-taught culinary skills. I took a giant leap of faith, and quit my job and founded my food venture, Peckish. With Peckish, I explored every aspect of food I was interested in and did food styling, conducted several Asian food pop-ups and cooking workshops and even made some puppy cakes. All of this led to my true calling - Food Styling.

During the quarantine, I am using this time to hone my cooking and baking skills. I have quite a long list of dishes I want to cook, bake and style, and I am experimenting with new dishes, making fresh pasta from scratch and baking up a storm! If there is any time to spare from all this, you will find me immersed in my next passion - painting Gond and Madhubani paintings.

My name is Sakshi Ajmani and I am a marketing professional. I have been into drawing and painting since I was a kid, but it was in 2017 that I realized my ardour for this certain form of art called Mandalas.
Mandalas are known to be the sacred art of Tibetan Buddhism. It symbolises unity and is also used as a part of meditation as it helps in enlightening ones mind and heal them. I love Mandala's as it helps me focus all my emotions into one thing and bring peace to my mind.

This Quarantine, I have taken a 20 Days consecutive drawing challenge where I explore new mandala patterns and even new arts like lettering and doodle.

Hi! I'm Megha Bhadola, a Delhi based vocalist.
Singing is part of my daily life, something so natural, that it's similar to talking or breathing for me. Although, it is not my full time job it has been a passion of mine since a very young age and I continue to follow it by creating covers for Youtube and other social media platforms.
During this lockdown, I have tried to broaden my singing genres. I have always enjoyed listening to the music of various languages, but recently I have started to cover them as well, Korean music or K-pop is on top of my playlist and songs to sing list these days. I have practised hard to get the language right and am still learning to get better at it. It's a whole new music space for me but this beautiful language has won me over and I am using this lockdown to practice and get better at it every day.
