District Level Competition under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav held in District Rajouri.

As per calendar of Cultural and Education Cell of Directorate of School Education Jammu District level competition held in BHSS Rajouri. Before this school level competition held in all the schools of zone which was held in schools and similarly zonal level competition held in all Zones. As per calendar today District level competition held in which students from 15 zones of different schools participated. During the competition Singing, Dancing and Visual Arts competition held on the theme Patriotism , Cleanliness, Plantation, Peace Truth, Non violence and Indian Culture.
Students from Government and Private Schools qualified in different activities and now they will perform at Divisional level . The program was conducted by Shahzad Ahmed District Incharge Cultural and Educational Cell Rajouri in BHSS Rajouri.
Three team of jury members were also nominated for judgement of above mentioned activities. The program was conducted as per direction of CEO Rajouri Smt Shailesh Kumari who have passed necessary direction to all for conducting program at school level, zonal level and District Level. The whole program was conducted under the supervision of CEO Rajouri. It's pertinent to mention here that District Incharge Cultural and Educational Cell Rajouri is organising all the program as per calendar of DSEJ in the District and encouraging students for maximum participation in different program. As Cultural & education cell is providing a platform for students to show their talent. For smooth conducting of program Principal BHSS Rajouri Rakesh Sharma provided all kind of support and cooperation in smooth conducting of program in the school. He remaining present in the function and provided all kind of support to organising team. Later DEPO Rajouri Abdul Rauf Dar and Principal BHSS Rajouri Rakesh Sharma addressed the students and appreciated students for brilliant performance in the program and wish them success ahead. In the end certificate were provided to students who have got ist, second and third rank in the competition.

GDC Thannamandi Culminates Gandhi Jayanti Celeberations

A fifteen days long celebration of Gandhi Jayanti was culminated today in a grand Valedictory function at GDC Thannamandi. The programme was conducted under the patronage of principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed. The chief guest of the occasion was Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed SDPO Thannamandi. The celebrations included various activities like Essay Writing, Extension lectures, online quiz competitions, cultural events, book reading, group discussions and symposium enlightening the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi. The programme was coordinated by Raheela Mushtaq Coordinator IQAC in collaboration with NSS, NCC, and Cultural and literary committee. The formal welcome address was presented by Prof. Raheela Mushtaq HoD Zoology. Prof. Muhammad Shoket NSS Programme Officer of the college read the report of the activities carried out under Gandhi Jayanti celebrations. NSS volunteers presented various cultural items. Mr. Rahil Ganaie from Media fraternity and alumnus of the college also spoke on the occasion and advised young generation to shun off the drug menace and spread awareness about the same in the society. Prize distribution ceremony was also organized to encourage the students who participated and clinched various positions in these activities. Speaking on the occasion Dr Imtiaz Ahmed SDPO congratulated the entire college for conducting the activities and motivated the students to be on the good side of the life. Principal of the college also lauded the efforts of the organizers. He further enlightened the students about the importance of Gandhian philosophy in the present era and the application of the same in day to day life of a student. The proceedings of the event were conducted by Dr. Ather Aziz Raina and a formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Mudassir Majeed HoD Islamic Studies. The certificate were presented to students by Principal GDC Thannamandi Dr Farooq Ahmed, SDPO Thannamandi Dr Imtiaz Ahmed and president press Club Thannamandi Imran Khan.

High alert in Rajouri in connection with visit of VVIP. As the Home Minister is visiting Rajouri on 4th October to address a rally as it's ist tour of Home Minister in Rajouri . The security forces is on high alert and a massive cordon and search operation launched by Thanamandi police, SOG, Army and CRPF is going on ib village Rajdhani, Baghla and Mahjoor. In the operation SDPO Thannamandi Dr Imtiaz Hussain, SHO Thannamandi Inspector Shoket Hussain including SOG, 48 RR Army and CRPF conducting CASO from last two days. They are conducting house to house search in the area. It's pertinent to mention here that last year in Thannamandi militants were killed by Police and Army where at multiple places encounter were reported. There was a long battle for several days between militants abd security forces in adjoining area of BG Gali. Keeping in view the VVIP visit CASO launched in different areas. The police is trying to fail any such attempt of anti national elements who want to disturb the peaceful atmosphere in the area. Till last report security forces were on job and conducting search operation.

FIR registered against Dharam Raj Construction Company for illegal mining

Police here in Rajouri have booked a private company engaged in vital road project for widening of Rajouri Thanamandi Bufliyaz road with a case has been registered for illegal mining and extraction of mining minerals.

The private company Dharam Raj Contracts India Pvt. Ltd has been engaged by Border Roads Organization for road widening project of Rajouri-Thannmandi-Bafliaz road.

The company was found indulged in illegal mining from river in Thanamandi by using the Excavator, Dumper and other machinery which causes huge loss to UT exchequer as mining was being done without paying any royalty to government and without any allotment of mining block thereby committing thefts of natural resources.

The company have decayed the river bed which is also causing the ecological imbalance and the level of the water has gone down.

The company illegally extracted RBM from natural source and crushed the same by stone crusher illegally installed at village Planger.

A huge stock of crushed materials approximately 70/80 thousands metric tonnes was also found on the crusher spot during inspection.

Police said that continuing its drive against the menace of illegal mining a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Thannamandi police in which police party headed by SHO police station Thannamandi Mohd Shoket acting stringently on the specific inputs raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized one Dumper and one Excavator from the spot.

A case in FIR 12/2022 under section 379/431/34 IPC has been registered at P/S Thannamandi into the matter and investigation is going on.

Members of the civil society and media fraternity of Rajouri today accorded warm farewell to outgoing SSP Rajouri

Members of the civil society and media fraternity of Rajouri today accorded warm farewell to outgoing Senior Superintendent of Police, Sheema Nabi Qasba IPS , who has been transferred from here.

Apart from members of media fraternity, senior police officers were also present on the occasion. Addressing the programme, the journalists said it's rare that media organises farewell for officers but in case of Sheema Nabi Qasba IPS relations between media and police were very strong which forced them to organise the farewell.
Later, addressing the gathering outgoing SSP Rajouri said that all the media persons of Rajouri helped him a lot in policing and in streamlining the system.
She added that media has played an important role in exposing wrongdoing and highlighting people's grievances in Rajouri.
A similar farewell party was organised by senior citizensA large number of senior citizens and elders of Rajouri took part in the programme, who said the tenure of SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi Qasba in Rajouri will be written in golden words. Case of theft attempt in bank, burning of saw mill solved within 24 hours by Sunderbani police

Two accused arrested, weapon of offense recovered In a major success, Jammu and Kashmir police in Sunderbani police station of Rajouri district have solved the case of attempted theft in Canara bank Sunderbani and burning of a saw mill in sunderbani town area arresting two accused involved in this crime.
Rajouri police said that the incident took place in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday when a saw mill caught fire and got damaged under mysterious condition and later it came to fore during spot examination that theft was attempted in Canara Bank and this saw mill was located adjacent to bank and unknown accused had broken the wall of the bank and with criminal intention entered into it with attempt to loot the cash and they also set ablaze the saw mill.Taking cognizance of the matter and on the basis of written complaint, a case in FIR 103/2021 U/Ss 457, 380, 436, 511 IPC was registered in Sunderbani police station and Superintendent of Police Rajouri constituted an investigation team headed by Station House Officer Sunderbani under supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowshera and overall supervision of Additional SP Nowshera.Setting investigation into motion soon after registering the FIR, the investigation team of police gathered some technical and human inputs and zeroed on two suspects and detained both of them.Both of them during sustained interrogation and questioning confessed to this crime of house break, attempting robbery in Canara Bank besides setting ablaze the wood saw mill. The accused are identified as Jal Shakti Department employee (PHE) Pushpinder Sharma son of Lt. Rattan Lal resident of Gag village of Sunderbani and Ankit Sudan son of Madan Lal resident of Thandapani Sunderbani. Both these accused have been arrested in the case registered at Sunderbani police station and further investigation in the matter is going on.The weapons of offence used by the criminals to break the wall of bank have also been recovered on their confession. Meanwhile SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi Qasba IPS told a no of time that anyone involved in illegal activities and anti social activities will be dealt with iron hand and there is no space for such person who aims at disturbing peace. She is very tough against such matter and it's only due to her supervision that such criminal matter got solved in hours as Rajouri police is working very professionally.

On The Directions of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Under the Overall Supervision of Tehsildar Kotranka Sumit Kohli (KAS) a Joint Eviction Drive at Village Rajnagar led by Naib Tehsildar Budhal Afzal Ahmed Manhas including GQ Circle Javed Baba, Patwari Mohd Rafi Khan, Patwari Mauzam Chib Patwari Shokat and the Police Party of PS Budhal was carried out in which 516Kanals & 13 Marlas of State, Kacharai and Comman Land from village Rajnagar bearing Khasra No 1180 Min Measuring 127 Kanals and 09 Marlas , Draman bearing Khasra No 645 & 645 Min Measuring 184 Kanals and 06 Marla and Dandote village bearing Khasra No 162,163,164 and 164/1 of Tehsil Kotranka (Budhal) was retrieved succesfully from Illegal Occupants who were occupying Illegaly the state land from last many decades. Tehsil administration Kotranka has adopted a strict approach and zero tolerance against the illegal encroachers on state, kacharai and comman land and have once again have made it clear that every inch of state land will be evicted from the illegal occupants and stern legal action against them will be initiated as per the law of the land.Executive Magistrate 1st Class Budhal Afzal Manhas while talking to media said that the eviction drive will remain continue in entire Niabat Budhal till the targets as desired by higher authorities are not achieved and every single marla of State, Kacharai, Comman and Roshni Land is retrieved.

Two peddlers nabbed with 590 grams of Charas in Rajouri

Continuing its strong action in Anti Narcotics front, police here in Rajouri nabbed two peddlers recovering 590 grams of Charas like substance from their possession. A team of Rajouri police station headed by SHO Sameer Jillani and assisted by police team of Chingus headed by PSI Sahil Chowdhary laid a surprise naka at Kote Dhara bridge when two person moving towards the bridge started behaving suspiciously after noticing police naka, police team managed to intercept the duo and held both of them and on their frisking 30 rolls (Challies) of Charas like substance weighing 590 grams was recovered and seized Both the peddlers identified as Ibrar Ahmed son of Mohd Afzal resident of Kote Dhara and Mohd Qasim son of Abdul Qadir resident of Kote Dhara were arrested from the spot.

A case in FIR No 721/21 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registerd in police station Rajouri and investigation has been started to establish backward and forward linkages of this consignment. Pertinent to mention here that Rajouri police has launched a drive against Narcotics and a large number of drug peddlers have been arrested in past.its pertinent to mention here that Rajouri police is working hard to eradicate the drug and keeping war against drug a no of notorious drug smugglers arrested in Rajouri as DIG Rajouri Poonch range and SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi Qasba IPS have made special teams to nab drug smugglers. Public at large highly appreciated the step of police . Due to efforts of police it's difficult for anti social elements to carry on their activities.

GDC Thannamandi organizes Poster/Slogan Writing Competition on TB and Blood Donation

Red ribbon club of GDC Thannamandi in collaboration with NSS Unit under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava organized Poster making competition on TB awareness and Slogan Writing competition on Blood Donation. The programme was organised under the patronage of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Javaid Ahmed Qazi. NSS Programme Officer Prof. Muhammad Shoket awared the students regarding blood donation as there is no other source of Blood on the earth. Every NSS Volunteer shall always be ready for blood donation. A good number of students participated in the event. The judges of the event were Prof. (Dr.) Nahim Un Nisa, Prof. Ajaz Nazir and Prof. Naveen Sharma. In the poster making competition on TB Awareness which was organized earlier Mr. Adnan Auqib sem 1 st, Ms. Amreen Anjum sem 5

Constitution day celebrated & pledge ceremonies also held across Rajouri

In order to observe and celebrate the constitution day, police authorities here in Rajouri organised pledge ceremonies in all the police station and establishments across the district. On the directions of SSP Rajouri, these pledge ceremonies organised at all the police stations of the district, police posts, sub division offices and at district police office. SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi Qasba IPS said that police is a law enforcement agency and works day and night under the constitution of India.
She told that these pledge ceremonies were held in a professional manner wherein police officers of respective establishments administered constitution pledge to all the officials I the District.
