'ಇಶಿ' ಎಂದರೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತಿ, ಅಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ, ಮಾತೃಕೆ ಎಂಬ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವಿದೆ. ನಮಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನ ಅಧಿದೇವತೆ 'ಚಾಮುಂಡೇಶ್ವರಿ'( ದುರ್ಗಾದೇವಿ).

ತಾಯಿ ಚಾಮುಂಡೇಶ್ವರಿಯ ಹುಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೂ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೂ ಕೂಡ.
