He grew up in Lodhi Colony , Delhi
His dad was a civil servant and had a Govt accommodation.
They were a good middle class family.
He went to Dayal singh college and started his own business- at one point he was the sole Distributor of Brand Rasna.
Had a big godown in Lajpat Nagar, 7-8 Autos delivering Rasna all over Delhi... He was known in every market. Life was great!
Then 1984 anti-Sikh genocide happened - he lost his entire godown, 8 Autos and dealership.
Tried working with various food companies HLL, NAFED, marketing, but it didn’t work out.
He restarted life by buying a Taxi and driving it - Always in a crisp white uniform. 6-7 years later, while coming down from Mussoorie, he had a terrible accident.
Was in coma for 13 days. Woke up in a Dehradun hospital with knees, rib cage and one hand crushed.
Doctors at Safdarjung Hospital rebuilt him over 3 months, another 3.5 months of Physio & exercises.
He was up again but the car had got totaled. He bought an Auto, but a few years later he had a stroke.
It took time but he recovered fully - He now drives an Auto, never refuses a passenger, has been cheated by customers. But still smiles and talks politely. Waheguru ! He says.
After reading his story, I feel like, no matter how tough your life is, you need be strong & hopeful always!
And trust me, every cloud has a silver lining :))
Hats Off! Sardar Paramjeet Singh Ji..
