*Semi-decomposed Body Found in Ramsoo*

>>> Police authorities on Sunday said to have recovered a semi-decomposed human body in Ramsoo area in Ramban district.

Station House Officer Ramsoo Rouf Khan told news agency GNS that the body found in a semi-decomposed state has been taken to a nearby hospital. “The identification has not been made yet”, the officer said adding that “However a truck met an accident at the spot on April 30 and it is being largely presumed that it (body) may be of the driver or conductor died in the particular mishap.”

Meanwhile searches have been started afresh by police, QRT alongside NGO Banihal Volunteers to locate any other body at the spot.

Acting tough against drug dealers,shopian police arrested one more drug peddler and recovered 01Kg 400 gm apparently Charas and 06 gm of BROWN SUGAR.....
.........Continuing it's drive against drug dealers to eradicate the manace of drugs in society especially among youths, today on 20/05/2021,a police party under the supervision of SDPO Zainapora Mr Riaz Ahmed (KPS) and SI Nazir Ah,Ic PP WACHI, during Patrolling at Safnagri near Brick Kiln, one person coming from Zainapora side towards Safnagri on looking police vehicle,tried to flee from the spot ,but showing courageous act by police party and swift action the said person was apprehended tactifully on spot.On checking a bag carried by said person, CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE in the form of sticks(lathi) wrapped in Corn musk , weighing 01 Kg 400 gm apparently Charas and from his pocket one transparent small polythene contained psychotropic substance seems to be BROWN SUGAR weighing 06 gm have been recovered from his possession.The person has been arrested on spot and disclosed his name as Sonaullah Dar @ Sunna S/O Gh Nabi Dar R/O Safnagri Spn and recovered contraband substance has been seized/sealed on spot .A case FIR NO.48/2021 offences U/S 08/20/21 NDPS Act stands registered in PS Zainapora.Investigation of the case is going on.
It is worth to mention here that the said person is a notorious drug peddler of the area.
Community members are handfolded requested to come forward to share any information with regard to drug dealers with the police .So the drug peddlers would be dealt sternly under law ..... Genaral Public of Shopian especially of Zainapora area have hailed the role of Shopian Police by taking strict action against such enemies of society (drug peddlers)....

40-year old man injured in Sopore bear attack

Sopore, April 28: A 40-year-old man was critically injured after a bear attacked him in Sopore village in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.

Abdul Salam dar S/o Ghulam Muhammad, a resident of Hib Dangarpora area of Sopore was attacked when he was walking along bank of Pohru nallah at Hib Dangarpora.

He sustained critical injuries on his head and Arm. He was immediately rushed to Sub-district hospital Sopore where from he was referred to SKIMS Srinagar for specialized treatment.

*Another hideout busted in Tulkhan Bijbehara by Police, Huge consignment of drugs recovered.*

>>> Anantnag, Apr, 27:After busting an under ground hideout about a fortnight before in village Tulkhan Bijbehara, Anantnag police again recovered huge consignment of drugs from an underground hideout in the village.

Based on specific information Police established a Naka at Tulkhan crossing and apprehended one
Farooq Ahmad Baht resident of Marhama and recovered 10 bottles of codeine from his possession. Upon this FIR No 92/2021 under sections 8/20,21 NDPS Act was lodged in Police Station Bijbehara. On further questioning the accused revealed the name of one dealer Mohd Ashraf Khan of Tulkhan village, from whom he has been procuring the drugs. Subsequently a police party from Bijbehara along-with executive magistrate rushed to the spot.

While searching the house of accused and the courtyard following recoveries were made,

1. Charas Powder. 34.7 kgs
2. Codeine. 80 bottles
3. Spasmo-Proxyvon .4500 capsules
These drugs were concealed in an underground hideout and also beneath the earth in courtyard of the accused. The courtyard was dug out with JCB to recover the drugs. All accused have been arrested.

It is pertinent to mention that one such hideout was busted in the village on April 7th and huge consignment of drugs was recovered.

Police in Anantnag has launched a decisive war against drug peddling and it is firmly reiterated that one and all involved in drug trafficking will face the wrath of law.

*Anantnag Police arrested One drug peddler. Narcotics substance recovered.*

Anantnag 22 April 2021;

Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested one drug peddler in Anantnag and recovered Narcotics substance from his possession.
Police party from Police Station Mattan during naka checking at Aunag Mattipora apprehended a person namely Manzoor Ahmad Sofi S/o Abdul Aziz Sofi Resident of kandarpora Guree Anantnag, along with 200 grams of Charas like substance from his possession. The contraband was seized on spot and accused arrested.
Accordingly Case FIR No. 26/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Mattan and investigation taken up.
This is in continuation to the efforts of Anantnag Police to fight against the meance of Drug Abuse and Drug Peddling.
