During one of our food explorations in East Delhi, we came across a vendor selling masala corn cobs. In this part of the country it is called challi masala. Challi is boiled or roasted corn cobs and masala refers to the spice mix and sweet and tangy tamarind chutney that is poured on the top. It is a quintessential street food of Delhi that is loved by people from all age groups. Narayan Ji has been selling it in this neighbourhood for the past 30 yearsyears. He brings it in a huge cylindrical vessel placed on his bike. The zesty flavours tickles your taste buds as you chew the juicy kernels. We loved trying it after a long time.
