*Manipur logs highest single-day spike of 757 new COVID-19 cases*
COVID-19 claimed 13 more lives in Manipur in a span of 24 hours.

Thirteen COVID-19 related deaths were reported in Manipur on Saturday, when the state recorded its highest single-day spike this year with as many as 757 people testing positive for the novel coronavirus in a span of 24 hours, according to the latest update by the state health department.
While the state's COVID-19 caseload surged to 43,322, the death toll mounted to 674 on Saturday.
The 13 COVID-19 deaths on Saturday included six from Imphal West, four from Imphal East and and one each from Churachandpur, Kaching and Thoubal, a release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated.
Imphal West and Imphal East continued to report the highest daily COVID-19 cases at 336 and 141 respectively. Eighty-two new positive cases were reported from Churachandpur, 54 from Bishnupur 48 from Kakching, 31 from Kamjong, 25 from Thoubal, 14 from Senapati, nine from Tamenglong, five from each from Kangpokpi and Chandel, three from Ukhrul, and two each from Tengnoupal and Noney, as per the release.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release stated.
While the number of COVID-19 active cases stood at 6,390 on Saturday, the state's recovery rate is 83.69 per cent. The cumulative number of COVID-19 recovered cases in the state is 36,258, including 652 new recoveries, it stated.
The state health department has asked air passengers who travelled to the State on May 20, 2021 by Air India AI-889 in rows 14-35 to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (DSO) for further surveillance and necessary testing.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,366 D type oxygen cylinders and 504 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of the state in the last 24 hours. District hospital and government institutions have 178D, 66B filled cylinders out of which Bishnupur has 27 D type oxygen cylinders; Chandel has 10 D type and four B type; Churachandpur has 41 D type and five B type; Senapati has 20 D type; Tboubal has 28 D type and 15 B type; Ukhrul has six D type; Tamenglong has seven D type; Jiribam has 20 D type and 11 B type; Moreh has five D type and six B type; Mao has four D type and six B type; Kakching has eight B type; Pherzawl has four D type and five B type; Noney has two D and one B type and Kamjong has three D type and one B type oxygen cylinders.
A total of 3,35,396 people have been administered COVID-19 vaccine in Manipur, as per the latest update.
