Zaffer Mir questions allocation of all three dialysis centres to Charar-e-Sharief at Chadoora’s expense
Condemns NC’s political bias; Says Chadoora once again made victim of neglect
Budgam, Dec 28: PDP leader Zaffer Mir (Lasjan) has vehemently denounced the government’s controversial decision to allocate all three newly sanctioned dialysis centres exclusively to the Charar-e-Sharief constituency in Budgam district.
In a strongly worded statement, Zaffer Mir highlighted that the centres, to be established at CHC Charar-e-Sharief, CHC Pakharpora, and CHC Nagam, are emblematic of blatant political favoritism, particularly given that the constituency is represented by a senior National Conference leader.
Describing the decision as a grave injustice, Zaffer asserted that it disregards the urgent healthcare needs of other constituencies, especially Chadoora, which includes key areas such as BK Pora and Chadoora. He noted that these regions have long suffered from chronic neglect, with inadequate healthcare infrastructure persisting for decades.
“This flagrant neglect of Chadoora’s healthcare needs is unacceptable,” Mir declared. “Since 1977, successive governments have systematically failed this region, perpetuating inequality and denying the people their rightful access to healthcare. This must end immediately.”
Zaffer Mir called for an urgent review of the allocation process, demanding that at least one dialysis centre be established at CHC Chatterghar or CHC Chadoora. He emphasized that healthcare is a fundamental right and must not be compromised by political favoritism.
“The residents of BK Pora and Chadoora deserve equitable access to essential healthcare services,” he stressed. “The administration must prioritize fairness and inclusivity, ensuring no region is sidelined in the allocation of critical resources.”
Reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the marginalized, Zaffer urged the government to take immediate corrective measures to rectify the imbalance and ensure fair distribution of healthcare facilities across Budgam district.
He vowed to continue his fight for justice and equity, advocating for the rights of the neglected and underserved communities.
