*Kishtwar-Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-*
As per order issued by the SDM Chatroo vide No. SDM/C/2026-27/270-78 dated 24-05-2026 and the SDM Kokernag vide No SDM/KNG/26-27/296 dated 25-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies (NHIDCL). *LMVs Passenger/Private Cars* shall be allowed to ply from *both sides viz Kishtwar towards Srinagar and vice versa* on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road. These vehicles shall be allowed to move from *PP Parana and Daksum between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs* . However, *HMVs upto six tyres and HPSVs (seating capacity upto 30 passengers only)* shall be allowed to ply from *Srinagar towards Kishtwar* and these vehicles shall be allowed to move *from Daksum between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs* . *No vehicle* shall be allowed after cut off timing. TCU Jammu /Ramban/TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the cut off timing.

*SSG ROAD*
As per order issued by the DIVCOM Kashmir vide No. DivCom/Dev/100/2026/4392-4410 dated 14-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road conditions, *LMVs shall be allowed to ply from both sides* on Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari road, i.e., from Srinagar towards Kargil and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed to move from *Sonamarg towards Kargil and from Minamarg towards Srinagar* (only, after receiving green signal from the road maintenance agencies) *up to 1300 hrs*. However, *HMVs shall be allowed to move from Minamarg towards Srinagar between 1200 hrs and 1500 hrs,* and *no vehicle* shall be allowed *after 1500 hrs.* Motorists are advised to *carry and use anti-skid chain* to gain more grip on the slippery road. TCU Srinagar and PCR Kargil will inform all concerned about the cut-off timing.

*Mughal Road:-*
As per the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Shopian vide No. DMS/ADM-PS/25-26/276-85 dated 22-04-2026 and the District Magistrate, Poonch vide No. DMP/J/376-91 dated 22-04-2026, and subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement (*LMVs followed by HMVs up to six tyres only* ) shall be allowed on Mughal Road from *both sides* , i.e., from Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed *from Chandimarh (Baffliaz) towards Shopian between 0900 hrs and 1700 hrs, and from Herpora (Shopian) towards Poonch between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs* , after obtaining clearance from the road maintenance agency (GREF). *No vehicle* shall be allowed after the cut-off timings. TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned regarding the cut-off timings.

*Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji Yatra Welfare Society Holds Press Conference on Upcoming Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji Yatra 2026*

Jammu, June 1: The Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji Yatra Welfare Society today held a detailed press conference at Amar Singh Club, Jammu, regarding the final preparations for the forthcoming Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji Yatra 2026, scheduled to be held from June 20 to June 22, 2026.

The press conference was jointly addressed by Shri Kiran Wattal, Convenor of the Society, and Shri M.K. Yogi, General Secretary, in the presence of office bearers, heads of social organizations, intellectuals, and community representatives associated with the Society.

While briefing the media, Kiran Wattal informed that the holy Yatra will commence on June 20, 2026 with a ceremonial flag-off from TRC Nagrota, and culminate on June 22, 2026 at the revered shrine of Mata Kheer Bhawani at Tullamulla, Ganderbal, Kashmir. He further informed that this yatra is gateway for which an advance team will leave on June 19 to make necessary arrangements for Langars, accommodation, and logistics at the pilgrimage sites.

The Society appealed to the Lieutenant Governor Administration, Divisional Commissioners of Jammu and Kashmir, concerned Deputy Commissioners, Director General of Police, Department of Tourism, and Relief & Rehabilitation Department, J&K, to ensure foolproof security, transportation, accommodation, and availability of essential commodities at major pilgrimage destinations including Kheer Bhawani (Tullamulla), Tikker, Manzgam, Khanbarni Devsar, Lokatpora, Nagdandi, and other sacred sites to facilitate the smooth and successful conduct of the Yatra.

The Society also urged the Tourism Department, J&K, to undertake extensive publicity of the Yatra by installing hoardings, flex banners, and awareness material across Jammu and Kashmir while highlighting the spiritual and historical significance of Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji for wider public awareness.

Further, The Society requested the Municipal Corporations of Jammu and Srinagar and allied departments to ensure proper sanitation, hygiene, lighting, and uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water at all pilgrimage destinations, migrant camps, and transit locations for the convenience of pilgrims.

Addressing the media, M.K. Yogi, General Secretary of the Society, appealed to the displaced Kashmiri community residing in Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Delhi, and other parts of the country to participate in large numbers in the holy Yatra and contribute towards preserving the community’s rich cultural, spiritual, and civilizational heritage.

He also expressed gratitude to the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, J&K, for extending full cooperation and support during the recent preparatory meeting held under his chairmanship with representatives of organizations associated with the Society. He appreciated the continued efforts of the Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj and Tourism Federation UT of J&K (Regd.) for providing logistical support for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

The Society further appealed to the UT Administration to make adequate medical arrangements for yatris at all pilgrimage sites and en route, particularly at Ramban, to ensure the well-being and safety of devotees.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Vinod Pandita, Chief Coordinator of the Yatra, who expressed gratitude to all social organizations, intellectuals, philanthropists, and community members for their valuable support and participation.

J&K ACB Traps and Arrests Vaseem Ahmad Hap, Forest Guard of Forest Division Marwah, Kishtwar for Demanding and Accepting Bribe of ₹15,000

Jammu 01 June, 2026: A written complaint was received by ACB alleging that the accused demanded a bribe of ₹20,000 from the complainant for expediting the release of security deposits related to allotted works. After negotiations, the accused allegedly agreed to accept ₹15,000 as illegal gratification.

Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the Anti-Corruption Bureau seeking legal action against the accused official.

Upon receipt of the complaint, ACB conducted a discreet verification which established the prima facie demand of bribe by the accused public servant. Consequently, FIR No. 07/2026 under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 was registered at Police Station ACB Central, Jammu, and investigation was initiated.

During investigation, a trap team was constituted by ACB. The team laid a successful trap and caught the accused public servant namely Vaseem Ahmad Hap S/o Manzoor Ahmad R/o Hidyal, Kishtwar, presently posted as Forest Guard and looking after accounts work in the office of Divisional Forest Officer, Forest Division Marwah, red-handed while demanding and accepting ₹15,000 from the complainant. The accused was immediately arrested on the spot, and the bribe amount was recovered from his possession in the presence of independent witnesses associated with the trap team.

Subsequently, searches were conducted at the residential premises of the accused government employee in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses.

Further investigation in the case is underway.

*IGP Jammu reviews SANJY-2026 preparedness in Kathua and Samba; stresses foolproof security arrangements*

Kathua/Samba, 31 May: To review security and facilitation arrangements for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2026, IGP Jammu Zone Sh. Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, accompanied by DIG JSK Range Sh. Shridhar Patil, IPS; DC Kathua Sh. Rajesh Sharma, JKAS; SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma, IPS; SO to IGP Jammu SSP Rajinder Singh and other senior officers, conducted an extensive review of preparations in Kathua and Samba districts.

2. The IGP first visited Lakhanpur and inspected the Base Camp, Langar Points, Lodgement Centres and Reception Centres. Security deployment, CCTV coverage, access control measures, frisking arrangements, traffic management and pilgrim facilities were reviewed on the ground.

3. A comprehensive security review meeting on SANJY-2026 was later held at DPL Kathua. The meeting was attended by supervisory officers, including SP SOG Jammu, Addl. SP Kathua, SP Operations Upper Kathua, SP Ops Border Kandi Kathua, all SDPOs and SHOs of NHW Kathua. SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma, IPS gave a detailed presentation on security arrangements, surveillance measures, convoy management, QRT deployment and emergency response plans.

4. Addressing the officers, the IGP stressed maximum alertness, strict adherence to security protocols and professional conduct with pilgrims. The DIG JSK Range directed officers to regularly inspect Langars and lodgement centres and maintain close surveillance on suspicious elements.

5. The IGP subsequently reviewed arrangements in District Samba, where SSP Samba Sh. Anuj Kumar, IPS briefed him on the district's preparedness for SANJY-2026. A security review meeting was also held, which was attended by DIG JSK Range, senior officers, all supervisory officers and SHOs of the district. The IGP emphasized close coordination among J&K Police, CAPFs, intelligence agencies and Punjab Police to ensure a safe, secure and smooth Yatra for all pilgrims.

6. During the review meetings in both districts, officers were directed to intensify drone surveillance for real-time monitoring and deploy Dog Squads for anti-sabotage checks at vital installations, Langars and lodgement centres. Emphasis was laid on strengthening surveillance and ensuring swift response capabilities.

7. Directions were also issued to strengthen security along the National Highway and border areas through round-the-clock domination, naka checking and area patrols. Officers were instructed to expedite tenant verification and census drives and enhance CCTV coverage at all important Yatra locations with 24×7.

As per order issued by the SDM Chatroo vide No. SDM/C/2026-27/270-78 dated 24-05-2026 and the SDM Kokernag vide No SDM/KNG/26-27/296 dated 25-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road condition, after getting green signal from Road maintenance agencies (NHIDCL). *LMVs Passenger/Private Cars* shall be allowed to ply from *both sides viz Kishtwar towards Srinagar and vice versa* on Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road. These vehicles shall be allowed to move from *PP Parana and Daksum between 0800 hrs and 1600 hrs* . However, *HMVs upto six tyres and HPSVs (seating capacity upto 30 passengers only)* shall be allowed to ply on *alternate day basis* , tomorrow from *Kishtwar towards Srinagar* and these vehicles shall be allowed to move *from PP Parana between 0800 hrs. and 1600 hrs*. *No vehicle* shall be allowed after cut off timing. TCU Jammu /Ramban/TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the cut off timing..

*SSG ROAD*
As per order issued by the DIVCOM Kashmir vide No. DivCom/Dev/100/2026/4392-4410 dated 14-05-2026, subject to fair weather and good road conditions, *LMVs shall be allowed to ply from both sides* on Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumari road, i.e., from Srinagar towards Kargil and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed to move from *Sonamarg towards Kargil and from Minamarg towards Srinagar* (only, after receiving green signal from the road maintenance agencies) *up to 1300 hrs* . However, *HMVs shall be allowed to move from Sonamarg towards Kargil between 1200 hrs and 1500 hrs,* and *no vehicle* shall be allowed *after 1500 hrs.* Motorists are advised to *carry and use anti-skid chain* to gain more grip on the slippery road. TCU Srinagar and PCR Kargil will inform all concerned about the cut-off timing.

*Mughal Road:-*
As per the orders issued by the District Magistrate, Shopian vide No. DMS/ADM-PS/25-26/276-85 dated 22-04-2026 and the District Magistrate, Poonch vide No. DMP/J/376-91 dated 22-04-2026, and subject to fair weather and good road conditions, vehicular movement ( *LMVs followed by HMVs up to six tyres only* ) shall be allowed on Mughal Road from *both sides* , i.e., from Poonch towards Shopian and vice versa. These vehicles shall be allowed *from Chandimarh (Baffliaz) towards Shopian between 0900 hrs and 1700 hrs, and from Herpora (Shopian) towards Poonch between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs* , after obtaining clearance from the road maintenance agency (GREF). *No vehicle* shall be allowed after the cut-off timings. TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar shall inform all concerned regarding the cut-off timings.

From *27-05-2026, 1600 hrs to 28-05-2026, 1600 hrs*, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single-lane conditions between Marog and Kishtwari Pather, in addition to the breakdown of *an HMV* at Ramsoo, and the movement of *02 nomadic herds* (crossing Nachlana–Banihal).
Owing to ongoing movement of *02 nomadic herds* , traffic on the single-lane stretch from Marog to Kishtwari Pather is likely to slow down. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking.

*Passengers/LMV operators* are advised to prefer journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW *during daytime* . *Night travel* should be avoided due to the apprehension of *shooting stones/ landslides, movement of nomads* towards valley as well as ongoing construction work between Ramban and Banihal which may cause inconvenience to commuters.

*NH-44 (NHW)*
Subject to fair weather and better road conditions, *LMVs Passenger/HPVs/ Private Cars/HMVs (Good carrier)* shall be allowed *from both sides* on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. Commuters are advised to follow *lane discipline* ; overtaking, *wrong lane driving* will cause congestion. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall coordinate with TCU Ramban regarding the road condition.

*SFs Convoy Movement: -*
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, Security Forces vehicles shall be allowed *from both sides* on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. They shall move after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.

*Kishtwar-Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-*
