Sopore Police arrested three drug peddlers and recovered Contraband Substances from their possession.

Sopore, 03 Feb 2025:

Sopore Police have successfully arrested three drug peddlers and seized contraband Substances in their ongoing efforts to eliminate drug-related issues from society.

During naka checking at Hamdania Colony Naidhal Rafiabad, a police team led by SHO PS Panzalla Insp. Manzoor Ahmad, intercepted three individuals identified as
1. Aadil Ahmad Lone S/O Mohammad Rajab Lone
2. Mohammad Shafi Sheikh S/O Ghulam Nabi Sheikh
3. Sajad Ahmad Lone S/O Mohammad Sadeeq Lone residents of Nadihal Rafiabad.

Upon their search, the police recovered 122 grams of contraband charas like substance. A case (FIR No. 06/2025) has been filed under the relevant sections of the law, at Police Station Panzalla and an investigation has begun.

Sopore Police encourage the public to share any information related to narcotics or other crimes with the nearest police station or by dialing 112. They urge the community to cooperate in the fight against drugs and assure that strict action will be taken against criminals as per the law.

Police arrested drug peddler in Baramulla; Contraband substance recovered

*Baramulla, Jan 22*

```Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

A Police party of Police Station Boniyar headed by SHO PS Boniyar at a checkpoint established at Chak Limber, Boniyar intercepted one person who was identified as Gh Nabi Dar son of Late Mohd Subhan resident of Babagail Limber. During search, 50 grams of contraband charas like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested.

Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Biniyar and investigation has been initiated.

We urge the common masses that if you witness drug peddling or any other crime anywhere near you, feel free to contact nearest police establishment or dial 112. People are requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.```
