So the recent Layla & Martis surveys are AI generated. Here are some pointed out things. The whole thing just had the AI generated hyper realism + Pixar Shading going on. Using AI for concept visualisation is ok but generated AI images as products that people will choose from a survey is not good practice.
Using AI to generate hyper-realistic images like the ones seen in Layla & Martis can be both impressive and controversial. On one hand, AI-generated visuals can offer incredible detail and realism, aiding designers in exploring various concepts efficiently. This technology streamlines the design process and can lead to stunning results.
However, relying solely on AI-generated imagery raises valid concerns. While AI can mimic human creativity to some extent, it may lack the nuanced touch that human designers bring. There's also the ethical aspect to consider, particularly regarding transparency. Presenting AI-generated images as final product concepts without disclosing their origin could lead to issues of trust and authenticity among consumers.
In essence, while AI-generated visuals can be a valuable tool in the design process, it's essential for companies to balance their use with human creativity and ethical considerations. Transparency about the use of AI is crucial to maintain trust and integrity in the design industry.
