✒️ রাহুল গান্ধির মন্তব্যকে বিকৃত করে পরিবেশনের অভিযোগ। যোগীর পুলিশ গ্রেফতার করল জি টিভির সাংবাদিক রোহিত রঞ্জনকে। মঙ্গলবার সকালে তাঁর বাড়ি থেকে রোহিতকে নিয়ে যায় উত্তরপ্রদেশ পুলিশ। তার আগে তাঁকে গ্রেফতার করতে আসে ছত্তিশগড়ের রায়পুর পুলিশের একটি টিম। বাড়ির সামনে অপেক্ষা করছিল পুলিশ। এর পর সেখানে আসে গাজিয়াবাদ পুলিশের টিম। তারাই গ্রেফতার করে রোহিতকে।

রায়পুরে রোহিতের বিরুদ্ধে রাহুল গান্ধির ভুয়ো খবর প্রচারের অভিযোগে এফআইআর দায়ের হয়। এদিন সকালে রোহিত রঞ্জন টুইট করেন, “ছত্তিশগড় পুলিশ আমার বাড়ির সামনে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে আমাকে গ্রেফতার করতে। তাও আবার স্থানীয় পুলিশকে না জানিয়ে। এটা কি বৈধ?”

এই টুইটের পাল্টা রায়পুর পুলিশ টুইট করে জানায়, আইনত পদক্ষেপ করছে পুলিশ। গ্রেফতারি পরোয়ান রয়েছে। দয়া করে তদন্তে সহযোগিতা করুন। গাজিয়াবাদ পুলিশ টুইট করে জানায়, গোটা বিষয়টি স্থানীয় পুলিশের গোচরে রয়েছে। ইন্দিরাপুরম থানার পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে রয়েছে। আইনত পদক্ষেপ করা হবে।
ওই সাংবাদিক-সঞ্চালকের বিরুদ্ধে রাহুল গান্ধির একটি ভুয়ো ভিডিও পরিবেশন করার অভিযোগ উঠেছে। যেখানে দাবি করা হয়, কংগ্রেস সাংসদ উদয়পুরে কানহাইয়া লালের নৃশংস হত্যার আততায়ীদের ক্ষমা করে দেওয়ার কথা বলছেন। আসলে তিনি নিজের লোকসভা কেন্দ্রে ওয়ানাডে একটি কংগ্রেস কার্যালয় ভাঙচুরের অভিযোগে এসএফআই কর্মীদের ক্ষমা করার কথা বলছিলেন।

উত্তরপ্রদেশ পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, রোহিত রঞ্জনের বিরুদ্ধে ভারতীয় দণ্ডবিধির ৫০৫ ধারায় মামলা হয়েছে।

Two arrested in D**e breach case.

Silchar, July 3: Two persons have been arrested in Cachar district in connection with the breach of an embankment of Barak river which eventually led to a massive flood in Silchar city, an official said on Saturday.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mithu Hussain Laskar and Kabul Khan.

Cachar Superintendent of Police, Ramandeep Kaur has confirmed the arrest.

She, however, refused to divulge the details on the role of the two in the incident.

Kaur told IANS that the police were investigating the matter.

Laskar was nabbed by the police on Saturday, while Khan was arrested on Friday night.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma earlier said that the flood was a 'man-made' disaster and the miscreants would face stringent action.

Khan had allegedly filmed a video of the breach which the Chief Minister had shown to the local residents when he had visited the embankment site in Cachar district. (IANS)

Silchar, Jul 2 : A man was arrested in Cachar district for the breach of an embankment of the Barak river, which led to the devastating floods in Silchar town, police said on Saturday.

Kabul Khan, a resident of the Bethkundi area, was nabbed from his house on Friday night, they said.

Khan had allegedly filmed a video of the breach, which Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had shown to the people when he had visited the embankment site on Friday.

Sarma had asked the people to identify the voices in the video, subsequently, Khan was identified.

He was detained for interrogation and later arrested, a senior police officer said.

Efforts are on to identify the others involved in the incident, he said.

The district administration maintains that the embankment was breached by miscreants, while locals claim that it was already damaged since the floods in May and they have been urging the authorities to repair it.

As repeated appeals to repair it fell on deaf ears, some people of the area dug the embankment so that the water that entered their houses could recede into the river, locals said.

However, as levels of the Barak river rose, water started entering through the breached embankment on June 19.

Terming the flood “man-made”, Sarma on Friday said that a case has been registered and the CID will investigate the matter. PTI
