*SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS BOOTLEGGER WITH 19 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR*

Samba April 23: Continuing its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, District Police Samba has arrested a bootlegger and recovered 19 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.

Acting on a tip off regarding sale of illicit liquor in Rara area, a Police Party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO PS Ramgarh raided the spot and recovered 19 bottles of illicit liquor which includes 16 bottles of 180ml each & 03 bottles of 750 ml each from the accused person identified as Jasvinder Singh S/o Shemsher Singh R/o Rara Ramgarh district Samba who was carrying the illicit liquor trade in the area for his illegitimate profit. The said accused has been arrested and illicit liquor has also been seized.

A case FIR No. 32/2024 U/S 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.

Jammu police arrested Absconder evading arrest since 14 years
Jammu:-Today on 21.04.2024,a team of police station Bus Stand Jammu after strenuous efforts by making use of techincal and human int.led by SHO Inspector Vikas Dogra under the supervision of SP North Shivam Siddharth IPS and SDPO North Devinder Singh Bandral-JKPS apprehended one absconder evading arrest since 14 years namely Harmeet Singh s/o Rajinder Singh r/o Reshamghar colony A/P Digiana Model Town Jammu from Chatha Jammu.
The said Absconder is wanted in case FIR No. 39/2012 u/s 307/2012 RPC of PS Bus Stand ,the said Absconder will be produced before the competent court.

*SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS HARDCORE CRIMINAL WITH COUNTRY MADE PISTOL AND TWO LIVE CARTRIDGES*

Samba, March 25: Samba Police has today arrested a hardcore criminal alongwith country made pistol and also recovered two live cartridges from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.

A Police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during special vehicle checking naka at NHW Gurha Morh, Vijaypur signaled to stop vehicle Mahindra Thar bearing registration No. JK21H 9444 coming from Jammu side and moving towards Samba side for its checking. On seeing police party, the driver of vehicle tried to escape from the spot but alert police cops successfully intercepted the vehicle and apprehended the driver. During checking, a country-made automatic pistol alongwith two live cartridges has been recovered from the possession of accused driver.

The arrested accused has been identified as Narayan Sharma @ Shuna S/o Brita Lal Sharma R/o Thalori Brahmana, Vijaypur district Samba.

A case FIR No. 42/2024 u/s 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and further investigation is going on.

Samba, March 15: Acting sternly against he**in smugglers and suppliers, Samba Police has today arrested 2 interstate he**in smugglers and recovered approximately 50 grams he**in from their possession.

A police Party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during vehicle checking at NHW Naka AIIMS, Vijaypur signaled to stop a motorcycle bearing registration number PB06AF-6614 coming from Kathua side for checking. On seeing police party, the motorcyclists tried to accelerate the speed of bike to escape from the spot, but alert police party successfully intercepted and apprehended both the rider and pillion rider. During checking, approx. 50 grams he**in was recovered from their possession.

The arrested he**in smugglers have been identified as Harpreet Singh S/o Satnam Singh and Arshdeep Kaur w/o Harpreet Singh both R/o Chabal Road Guru Nanak Nagar Bahririwal, Punjab.

A case FIR No. 37/2024 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered against them at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.

*BOOTLEGGER ARRESTED BY SAMBA POLICE, ILLICIT LIQUOR RECOVERED*

Samba, March 9 : Continuing its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, Samba Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered ten bottles of illicit liquor of 750 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur.

Acting on a reliable information about sale of illicit liquor in Vijaypur, a police party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur raided the place and caught the accused person alongwith his scooty bearing Reg. No. JK21H-4086 while indulging in sale of illicit liquor to general public at exorbitant rates. During search, ten bottles of 750 ml each (Black Bull Rum = 06 Nos., Royal Stag = 03 Nos. and Signature =01 No.) of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession alongwith cash of Rs. 4725/- earned by selling illicit liquor.

The arrested accused person has been identified as Sham Lal S/o Ram Krishan R/o W. No. 5 Vijaypur, district Samba.

A case FIR No. 34/2024 u/s 48 (a) (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and investigation started.

SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS BOOTLEGGER WITH 24 BOTTLES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR

Samba, March 8: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, Samba Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered twenty four bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.

Acting on a tip-off about sale of illicit liquor in Govind Garh area, a police party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO PS Ramgarh rushed to the spot and caught red-handed the accused person from his own ‘Khokha’ selling illicit liquor to the general public in the area and recovered 24 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from his possession.

The accused person identified as Hardev Singh S/o Tasveer Singh R/o Govind Garh has been arrested.

A case FIR No. 21/2024 u/s 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered against him in Police Station Ramgarh.

Social Welfare Department Celebrates International Women's Day
Under the directions of District Social Welfare Officer Samba Mr. Nawaz Sharief, District Hub for Empowerment of Women - Mission Shakti Samba Organized two days workshop in Collaboration with GDC Ramgarh and Care for You about CPR, wound care, choking, fracture and other essential first aid skill. In this programme, DHEW team focuses on the theme on IWD "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress". The main aim of program is to eradicate the gender equality and provide a platform to our younger girl generation to accelerate the progress of the society.
The programme was attended by Dr. Geetanjali Principal, Dr. Ruchi Thakur, District Mission Coordinator, Ms. Vanshika Bhardwaj and Ramandeep (Women Entrepreneur) Faculty Of GDC Ramgarh, Founder of Care for you, Mission Vatsalaya staff, DLSA Staff, DHEW and OSC staff and also more than 150 students of GDC Ramgarh.
On 6th march Ms. Navya from care for you and Global Peace Foundation opening the session with theoretical part of CPR Trainning & Mensurational Hygiene. After that Ms. Ritika Banotra, Gender Specialist aware the girls students about various women centric schemes. On 7th March Health Department gave the demonstration on CPR, Choking and other essential Skills. After that Ms. Nisha advocate from District Legal Service Authority expressed concern over the growing violence against women in the society and stressed on creating legal knowledge among girls regarding their rights. During the Programme Ms. Mansi Abrol gender specialist sensitized the girls about women entrepreneurship Programme run by Government of India. Speaking on the occasion, Principle GDC Ramgarh highlighted different aspect of women empowerment and so many scheme and program are available. Dr. Ruchi Thakur, district Mission Coordinator gave the vote of thanks to all presented Department and care for you NGO.
At the conclusion rally cultural Programs, Debates was organized and also certification and refreshments were distributed.
