Zabi's journey of animal rescuing began at the tender age of 13, when he found a sick puppy who, unfortunately, passed away. Even then, he couldn't comprehend why the puppy had to suffer such a fate and why its previous owners couldn't have cured the disease instead of simply abandoning it. As a student of KG Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, Zabi famously convinced the college authorities to start an animal shelter on the college premises, as well as an NGO called A Place to Bark to rescue and rehabilitate animals who were hurt, lost, and abandoned. Now, he has initiated an animal rescue sanctuary in Hyderabad's Toli Chowki, on a one-acre land, which is set to be inaugurated with esteemed guests and celebrities in attendance. This sanctuary will strictly adhere to a no-cage policy, unless an animal has a medical condition which requires them to be in one, and will have open enclosures for at least 30 dogs with huge partitions. Additionally, they plan to have a cat tree, a 500 square feet play area, and eventually, a swimming pool. Zabi and other volunteers will rescue animals and rehabilitate them in this sanctuary.

Solutions Journalism can create huge positive change. Given the media’s bias for negative deviance, much of the world’s problem-solving activity goes unreported and, therefore, possibilities for reform are unrealized.

Apart from being the founder of the magazine , she's a TEDx Speaker and an awarding winning journalist . She has won various titles from The UN ,Google , Facebook for her work. We launched The Stories of Change print magazine in May. At that time everything felt so overwhelming. We had zero experience in print and we made so many mistakes that we often found ourselves questioning our decision. But once the magazine was out it was all worth it. We received incredible response and support from you all.
And now we can’t believe it’s already time to announce our second issue. We thought it’d be easier to get the second issue out. But it’s a new mountain that has its own unique path.
Keep watching this space for more updates. You can pre order the next issue. Link in bio!

Camp Hornbill, a eco-friendly resort in Kyari village, Uttarakhand is bringing luxury and environment together. The Camp is visited by all 3 species of Hornbills found in this landscape, and hence the name.
Through its mud cottages, composting, native tree plantation, the resort offers a unique experience. It is a community led-enterprise set up by the villagers. Located inside the Jim Corbett National Park, Camp Hornbill aims to create an alternative form of nature travel that is responsible and contributes to nature conservation and community development.

| Posting this video with a heavy heart. It was created by Aditya while he was there with us for a month in Uttarakhand. He had plans to do more such environment focused stories. Didn't know it'd be the last story he'd be doing for us. You are constantly remembered and missed. RIP |
