Hidayat is inviting applications for Hindi and English Editors for the working team. Please note that as Editors your responsibilities include writing articles for the upcoming issues and planning/curating future issues. It also includes editing (and not re-writing) prospective submissions, you know, like normal editors, for grammar and such. The application form (link below) is open till midnight on September 11, 2021. Please feel free to answer the questions in Hindi or English depending upon the language you will be prospectively editing. HNLU is a wonderful place, there, we said it. That’s the truth, but man does it ever get mind-numbingly monotonous here somedays!

The idea of Hidayat had been born in the mind of someone else, sure, but a screaming match between two Law School kids, one yelling and stomping her foot on the roof of The Communist Party’s office in Jaipur (don’t ask her how she got there, the PTSD of December 2017 remains with her to this date) about the inefficiencies of the system and the other mirroring the same antics after a long day at the office.

Positively outraged by the lackadaisical attitude of several involved in this ordeal, the two decided something that day. That they will materialize this thing and keep it going. And so they did, the premier issue of Hidayat was published on February 4, 2018. It was at that moment, the two realized how Zuck must have felt after The Facebook went live.

So that’s the long and short of how this finally came into being, at least the version that we want out there, but that is a story for another day. abhi ke liye uss story ko lite lete hain.
