This is very much required to increase the stipend to maintain a conducive research environment in the country. A Swiss team set a new world record for solar power.

The researchers have done the (theoretically) impossible, creating not one but two silicon-based solar cells with efficiencies greater than 30% — breaking a world record and potentially illuminating the path to a future of cheaper clean energy.

Both are “tandem solar cells,” meaning they combine two different materials into a single cell — in this case, silicon and the mineral perovskite. For the 30.93% efficient cell, the perovskite was layered on top of a smooth silicon surface. For the other cell, the silicon surface was textured.

Request for the financial support to the family of ignited mind Kshetrimayum Borish due to his untimely and unfortunate demise.....

Respected Gurus, distinguished alumni and community fellows (from DU, IISERS, IISc, NISER, TIFR, JNCSAR, IITS, NITS, AIIMS and others distinguished institutes and Universities)-

Dear friends,

I want to share with you the unfortunate and untimely demise of a young and brilliant mind Kshetrimayum Borish (UG and PG from Kirorimal college DU and currently he was pursuing PhD from IISER Pune). His family is not financially strong. His father used to drive auto until he had the heart stroke last November. After that incident Borish was the only support to the family. His mother is house wife and have Blood Pressure issue. He was taking care of education of his two younger brothers.

Money cannot replace the void left by unfortunate demise of Borish but it will be a great help for the family. So, I would like to request you all to contribute towards his family. Rest in peace to the ignited and hardworking soul of Mr. Kshetrimayum Borish.
