*Rajouri man slips into Nallah in Budgam, dies*

Budgam, Jun 27 (KNO): A 50-year-old man from Rajouri died after he slipped into nallah ShaliGanga in Hushru area of Chadoora in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Monday.

Reports reaching the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the man identified as Mohammad Yousuf son of Mohammad Sakhi of Rajori was putting up in a tent on the banks of ShaliGanga Nallah in Hushru village.

They said that when he slipped into the Nallah he was alone there and after his colleagues came back from work, they didn't find him anywhere.

“They started searching for him and found his body lying in the Nallah,” they said.

Reports added that later police shifted his body to hospital for medical formalities and started further investigation into the case—(KNO)

Minor Girl From Srinagar Killed In Awantipora Road Mishap.

Awantipora: A minor girl from Srinagar was killed in road mishap in Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Thursday.
An official said that a vehicle bearing registeration number JK18B/6101 met with an accident at Chersoo in Awantipora area in which minor girl received critical injuries.
He said that girl was shifted to near by hospital, however, she succumbed to her injuries.
He identified her as Tauba Jan daughter of Dr Majid Sheikh resident of Soura Srinagar.
He further added that police has taken up investigation of the incident.

Turmoil in DDC Srinagar 5 elected members resign from Apni Party

Srinagar, Jan 13 : In a setback to Apni Party, vice—Chairperson of Srinagar district development council (DDC), Bilal Ahmad Bhat along with four other elected councilors resigned from the party on Thursday.

Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer(KNO) Bilal Ahmad Bhat, who was elected as vice—chairperson of DDC Srinagar last year, said that he along with other four councilors have resigned from the party today.

“We have won as independent candidates in DDC polls and later joined Apni Party. Now we have decided that we will continue as independent councilors,” he said.

He said DDC members Ali Muhammad, Muhammad Shaban, Shamima and Muhammad Yasin have also resigned the party—(KNO)
