مینڈھر//ضلع پونچھ کے سب ضلع مینڈھر کے بھاٹہ دھوڑیاں جنگلات میں پچھلے دس دنوں سے بھیانک آگ لگ ہوئی ہے، ہرگذرتے دن کے ساتھ آگ مزید شدت اختیار کرتی جارہی ہے۔ آتشزدگی کی وجہ سے جنگلات میں بڑے پیمانے پر پیڑ، گھاس وغیرہ جل کر راکھ ہوگیا۔مقامی لوگوں نے بتایاکہ بھاٹا دھوڑیاں کے جنگلات میں پچھلے دس دنوں سے اگ لگی ہوئی ہے ۔محکمہ جنگلات ٹس سے مس نہیں ۔لاکھوں کروڑوں روپے کا نقصا ن ہو چکا ہے اور ابھی بھی وہ آگ تیزی پکڑ رہی ہے ۔سماجی کارکن ایڈووکیٹ راجہ محمود خان نے انتظامیہ کی عدم توجہی پر گہری تشویش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا”جنگلات ہمارا قیمتی سرمایہ ہیں،ہر زندہ چیز کا بالواسطہ یا بلاواسطہ دارومدار اِن ہی جنگلات پر ہے۔ جنگلات میں آگ لگانا کوئی شغل میلہ نہیں ہے بلکہ انتہائی غیر اخلاقی فعل اور گناہ ہے۔ خشک سالی کی وجہ سے زمین آج کل بالکل خشک ہے ۔ذرا سی لاپرواہی کروڑوں اربوں جانداروں کے لئے بہت بڑے نقصان کی وجہ بن سکتی ہے“۔انہوں نے کہاکہ عام لوگوں کو بھی ذمہ دار شہری ہونے کا ثبوت دیتے ہوئے جنگلات کو آگ سے بچانے کے لیے اپنا بھرپور کلیدی کردار ادا کرنا چاہئے۔

Dr. Shazad Condemns Reasi Terror Attack

Mendhar: The Jammu and Kashmir Border Area Development Conference (JK-BADC) has vehemently condemned the recent terror attack in Reasi, which has tragically claimed several lives in a brutal assault on a pilgrim bus.

Dr. Shazad Ahmed Malik, Chairperson of JK-BADC and former Vice Chancellor, expressed his deep concern over the incident. He urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice and to implement measures to prevent such atrocious acts in the future.

"These terrorists deserve no mercy or sympathy, as they are enemies of mankind ," Dr. Shazad declared.

He also called on the Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure that the injured pilgrims receive proper medical treatment.

*Delhi court fixes June 18 for Engineer Rashid's interim bail plea to take oath as MP*

New Delhi, Jun 10: A Delhi court has fixed June 18 to hear arguments on an application filed by Engineer Rashid, arrested in a 2016 Jammu and Kashmir terror funding case, seeking interim bail to take oath as an MP after the recently concluded general elections.

Sheikh Abdul Rashid, popularly known as Engineer Rashid, defeated J-K former chief minister Omar Abdullah from the Baramulla constituency in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Rashid contested as an Independent candidate to defeat the National Conference (NC) vice president.

He is also a former MLA of the Union Territory.

Additional Sessions Judge Chander Jit Singh fixed the matter for June 18 after the NIA sought time to file reply to Rashid's application.

The NIA further submitted on June 7 that the notification for the oath of newly elected members of Parliament of Lok Sabha was not published yet.

Today president Jammu Kashmir pahari revolutionary movement Advocate Raja mehmood Khan held a press conference regarding the proposal of giving political reservation to St category. He said that He is not against the giving of political reservation to St but it should not be given at the cost of pahari people.As pahari people constitute a considerable part of population in the constituencies which are sposed to be reserved for St category. He said that the reservation should be given on the basis of one constituency in each dirstict on rotational basis taking into consideration the persontage of St population in each constituency of the district. He further said that the long pending demand of pahari people of declaring them as scheduled tribe should also be Full filled by the central government , after that giving of political reservation to Pahari people should also be considered.
