ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ-ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬੱਸ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਤਮਕ ਤੌਰ 'ਤੇ ਵੋਟ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ, ਨਾ ਕਿ ਬੰਬਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਵਾਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੀਡਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਰੋਡਮੈਪ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ। ਮੁੱਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਰਥਕਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਕੁਝ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਰਾਜਨੀਤੀ ਵਪਾਰ ਬਣ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਕੁਝ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਵਿਜ਼ਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ 25 ਸਾਲ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਰਣਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਲੈਵਲ 'ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਿਫਰਸ਼ੀ ਚਰਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਚੰਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੌਜੂਦਾ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਤੱਕ। ਦਲੇਰ ਮਾਨਸਿਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਪੋਸ਼ਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਬੇ-ਕੁਚਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਕਹਿਰੀ ਨੀਤੀ, ਜੋ ਕਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਤੀ ਰੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਨਸਲ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਤਕਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ, ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨੱਥ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ, ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਥਿੰਕ ਟੈਂਕ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕੌਣ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਿਆਸਤਦਾਨ ਕੋਲ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਹੱਲ ਹੈ

1994 fake encounter: Suspended IG Umranangal, 2 other cops booked for fabrication of evidence

A Punjab Police special investigation team (SIT) probing an alleged 1994 fake encounter case of one Sukhpal Singh of Gurdaspur has concluded that it was stage managed and as a consequence, a fresh criminal case has been registered against former inspector-general (IG) Paramraj Singh Umranangal, among others.

The SIT was constituted on a 2013 plea of Dalbir Kaur, whose husband Sukhpal Singh was killed allegedly in a fake encounter by Punjab Police. Allegations are that a police team led by Umranangal stage-managed the encounter and passed off Sukhpal’s body as that of terrorist Gurman Singh Bandala. Later, Bandala was found alive. As per the SIT, Bandala was arrested in 1998 in another case. RCR

Life and times Rohit Sharma...." Financially we were not that sound. Dadaji said 'Rohit ko idhar chhod de, aur chhote wale ko leke ja apne sath (leave Rohit with us and take the little one with you).' That’s how I stayed in Borivali while my parents and brother stayed in Dombivli (50 km away).
In some 100-odd square feet house, we used to stay, eight of us. Six chachas, uncles, and two aunts. They were wonderful people. But I have seen those days so I know nothing in life comes easy, I have to work hard.
Whatever I am today is because of the hardship I have gone through. When you get things easily, you don’t understand its importance.
So the way I grew up was a great help. I had to make every opportunity count because my past was always in my mind", Rohit Sharma shared in an interview with the Indian Express.
Rohit was born on April 30, 1987, in Bansod, Nagpur to Gurunath and Purnima Sharma. Gurunath worked as the caretaker of a storehouse for a transport firm.
When he was a year old, Rohit's grandfather adopted him because his parents couldn't afford to raise him - and unknown to him, the jigsaw pieces had already begun to fall in the right places.
As a child, little Rohit would play cricket for hours at a stretch and discuss cricket with his family, which was full of sports lovers.
Seeing his passion, his uncle Manohar Sharma borrowed money to enrol him in a cricket camp, where his talent caught the coach's eye.
The rest, as they say, is history.
