Supreme Court has reserved the judgement on challenge to 42nd amendment of the Constitution of India whereby Indira Gandhi government had inserted the words Secular, Socialist and Integrity to the preamble of the Constitution. Judgement would be pronounced on Monday.
During the hearing, the bench has made it clear that the amendments are meaningless and are not creating any obstacle to the state. On the contrary, the bench said that the amendments had been 'beneficial to us'.
The amendments were a cover up for the deeply saffron and pro-big business state of Indian elite.

US agencies had been investigating Adani Group since 2022. In 2023, Hindenberg Report had exposed Adani Group. Gautam Adani is close to PM Modi. Adani Green is accused of cheating Indian consumers apart from US investors and Banks. US prosecution has charged Adani of disbursing $250 mn bribe to top govt functionaries in India.

While ruling elite enjoys five star facilities in private hospitals, where treatment is not affordable for 99%, most of the working people are subjected to pigsty conditions in government hospitals. Still, it is too difficult to find even a bed in govt hospital.
