District Administration is organizing a workshop on Civil Services Examination in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal on 21st September 2022 at 2:00 pm.
The program intends to groom the aspiring candidates to unlock their potential through role model aspirations, interaction, experience/expertise and subject specific guidance.

Today on 20-09-2022, under Community Action Program, a special event was organized at District Police Lines Ganderbal in which SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS distributes Wheel chairs and Hearing Aids among differently abled persons, and bags with Stationery among needy children of the District.
More than sixty specially abled persons were provided with wheel chairs and hearing aids. Moreover sixty needy students were provided school bags with Stationery.
SSP Ganderbal interacted with the Beneficiaries and assured them all possible support from Police department to make their lives easy and comfortable. While interacting with them, he said that the persons with physical challenges need to be taken care of by the society. He further stated that Police department will always play its eminent role in this regard. He advised the Police officers and Jawans to show empathy and kindness towards such segment of the society and come forward with helping hands to make them feel part and parcel of the society. He also asked the Beneficiaries not to allow their physical hindrances and infirmities to come in their ways and to stay active in their lives in pursuits that suit them.

The Jammu and Kashmir Women Helpline (WHL-181) organized awareness programme at Govt. Degree College Boniyar Baramulla on Drug Addition & it's impact on Women and Girls .The WHL-181 is a project of the Union Ministry of Women and child Development and it is being run by Directorate Mission Shakti, Department of Social Welfare in UT of J and K.
On the occasion, project coordinator WHL-181 Bilal Bhat highlighted the overall services provided by the helpline .Giving details, he said the helpline provides 24-hour immediate response to women in distress and represent them in front of appropriate authorities such as Police assistance ,Legal Authority ( DLSA),One-Stop centre ( OSC),Hospital assistance, Emergency response & Psycho support / counseling ,etc
Speaking on the occasion Principal of the College Dr.Tariq Hussain Bhat,Mr Javid Ayoub Sheikh Vice Principal & Dr Imran Majeed Sahib informed the participants that don’t be silent ,lets speak out & get help from the helpline in case of domestic violence ,dowry abuse ,mental torture ,sexual assault ,eve-teasing ,cyber-crime ,child sexual abuse ,rape ,economical violence or any other distress situation .
Bilal Bhat apprised students & staff that drugs is not a Solution, “Break your Silence Raise your voice” if you are facing Domestic Violence, Sexual harassment, Economic and Dowry Disputes, etc. In this situation Dial 24/7 Hours Toll Free no. 181 to get (i) Access to Justice, (ii) Access to Welfare and (iii) Access to District Administration. GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 16: The District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Ganderbal, Nuzhat Ishfaq and Deputy Commissioner, Shyambir today kick-started the work for regeneration of Nagpaw near the District Hospital Ganderbal.
On the occasion, the Executive Engineer I&FC informed that the regeneration of Nagpaw has been approved at the cost of Rs 38.73 lakh under Amrit Sarovar.
Regeneration work shall be taken from Jamia Masjid Spring to Kujar covering the total distance of 2.6 km in 1st phase.
On the occasion the DDC Chairperson and DC urged the Executive Engineer to ensure regular monitoring of dredging work and silt and weeds shall be properly cleared from Nagpaw irrigation kul.
