Seeing such posts truly breaks my heart💔. It is very painful to know that endangered animals like squirrels and wild birds are still being hunted and even showcased on social media as “morning breakfast.”
As tribal people, we respect our traditions, but times have changed. Our forefathers depended on forest meat because there were no commercial food and meat sources available back then. Today, we have access to chicken, fish, pork, beef, and so many other options in the market...so why take the lives of innocent wild creatures that are already struggling to survive?😭
Many species are on the verge of extinction because of hunting, and every act of killing pushes them closer to disappearing forever. It is not just about culture, but about protecting nature for the future.
I sincerely hope the Forest Department and concerned authorities take appropriate action, and that we as a community reflect on this issue with compassion. Let’s protect and preserve our wildlife..they are part of our identity, our environment, and our future.🙏
