The Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art is celebrating its 100th year with exclusive paintings from Udaipur. The exhibition A Splendid Land: Paintings from Royal Udaipur, was a survey of works from the lake city of Udaipur in Rajasthan. Presented in collaboration with The City Palace Museum in Udaipur administered by The Maharana of Mewar Charitable Foundation, the exhibition brought together 63 works on paper, cotton and scrolls from collections across the world to reveal how artists lived experience of the lake city.
