Esha is an Interior Designer who currently lives in Bombay, India. She launched Design Pataki after a five-year stint in the Interior & Architecture Industry as Managing Director of Artisan Furnishings, India. Esha has studied Interior Design extensively at Parsons The New School for Design, New York and Rachana Sansad School of Design, Mumbai. Esha has been invited t

o some of the biggest international design shows like Maison Et Objet, Paris and Ikea’s Design Democratic Day, Sweden. She has been a part of panel discussions on design for Godrej, D’Code, Shethepeople and The Kollective. Through various initiatives at Design Pataki, she hopes to empower young Women in the field of Design. She wants to encourage more women to break barriers and be the change in design. What really makes a home? At .india’s third edition of IKEA IKONIC 2025, the kitchen takes centre stage as the heart of the home. The showcase explored the Year of Cooking & Eating with vibrant setups, clever hacks, and vivacious room designs that turn everyday meals into joyful experiences. Through the six stages of cooking and eating, like prepping, cooking, serving, eating, cleaning and organising, IKONIC brought everyday kitchen rituals to life with thoughtful, inspired design.

The showcase celebrated the heart of the home with new launches that delighted every sense: the handcrafted MÄVINN collection, bringing texture, craft, and soul; AROMATISK, a vibrant homeware line with a playful Indian twist, perfect for intimate meals or festive gatherings.

| Upon entering Pondicherry, one is greeted by signs bearing the local tourism board’s famous slogan - ‘give time a break.’ At Maison 26, a lovingly restored 120-year-old villa in the heart of the French Quarter, time indeed slows down. Part of Experiences, founded in 2020 to offer design-conscious travellers access to curated private homes across Southern India and beyond, it embodies timeless elegance and understated luxury.

With serene architecture, wooden-accented ceilings, and contemporary interiors, Maison 26’s jungle-lush courtyard opens to a grand salon adorned with antique curios, vintage furniture, and a gilt mirror. The villa is stewarded by curator Kiran Rao, who acquired it from the descendants of Franco-Tamilian merchant Xavier Condappa.
