Day 2 of Mahableshwar Trip: Mahad to Panchgani, unfortunately due to fatigue, i ended the ride at Mahableshwar.

Quite a grueling ride, heat, steep inclines and beautiful views as we got higher.

The weather was just perfect, cooler as we got higher.

It was a different experience of climbing, but prepared me for Ghat climbs.

Cross to Mandwa via ferry
Mandwa to Mahad - 121km

Quite an exhaustive ride, hot sun, bad roads across the highway, beautiful locations

A good ride with the Beers & Gears group, supported and motivated me.

My next big trip from Mumbai to Mahad to Mahableshwar - approx 300km in 4 days.

Me and my group of 4 from Beers & Gears will be on trip starting on 30th Jan and returning on 2nd Feb '25.

Day 1 - 30th Jan - ride from Andheri to Gateway of India, cross by to Mandwa Ferry Terminal to Mahad.
138kms - 1,119m elevation

Day 2 - 31st Jan - start from Mahad - Poladpur - Mahableshwar and finally end ride at Panchgani - 75km with 1,798m of elevation 😅

Day 3 - Rest Day - probably sightseeing and also watch Sahaydri Classic - Ghats challenge race.

Day 4 - 2nd Feb - riding back from Panchgani to Dehu Road, Pune approx 124kms and 1052m elevation. Rest of journey by bus to Mumbai

Weekend Ride to NCPA, Gateway of India and Cuffe Parade Garden with Beers & Gears cyclists

I wish all my friends, a very Happy and Prosperous New Year 2025, may you ride more long distances and achieve higher elevations and break more records.

But remember to , wear a helmet ⛑️ and continue to inspire other .

Ended year 2024 with a 90km ride, hoped to do 100km though.

Today's Ride to Coastal Villages of Gorai, Manori and Madh with Beers & Gears

Route: Andheri - Borivali Jetty - Gorai - Global Vippasna Pagoda - Gorai Beach - Manori - Marve Jetty - Madh Island - Versova

Visited Global Vippasna Pagoda, Gorai Beach, Marve Beach.

Beautiful weather, no pollution, good roads, pure riding pleasure.

Day 3 of Mumbai - Dapoli trip spent exploring Dapoli and returned at night by bus.

We attended the Dapoli Winter Cyclothon to meet up with the participants, it was my first time there.

Had a scrumptious breakfast with team.

Started Day 2 from our homestay in Diveagar, stopped for breakfast at a village.

30km to Agardanda - Dighe Jetty, then onwards to Harnai and Dapoli.

Last 12 kms riding in pitch dark on ghats, reaching Kavijay Residency, Dapoli.

Much more climbs, more higher elevation, great coastal views, riding through bad roads.

Total Distance : 96km
Duration: 7hrs 37mins
Total Elevation Gained : 1,355m

2 loops to New Zealand Hostel via Goregaon and 1 loop of Aarey Guest House.

Practicing for our long ride to Dapoli next month, tentatively 8-10 Nov. Covering 250kms in 2 days.

Cycled with the Beers & Gears group to Prabhadevi and Bandra, although a tyre issue forced a shorter route. The trip included visits to Prabhadevi, Reclamation, and Bandra Fort.
