For us at KITCHEN.VIDEO and Kali Collective India, this is a huge moment! On our fourth year of existence, we had the humbling honour of receiving two awards at the 70th National Film awards, India’s highest accolade for cinema from the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji in a prestigious ceremony held at the historic Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
In a moment that we will cherish forever, Koushik Sarkar received the Best Script Award, and Siddharth Diwan was honoured with the Best Cinematography Award in the Non feature film category.

Our short film Mono No Aware is a deeply humane narrative, one that reflects on the delicate nature of life, capturing its bittersweet beauty. This recognition is not just for us, but for every single collaborator—our cast, crew, friends, and family—who poured their hearts into this project. The film is as much theirs as it is ours.

Thank you to the entire team for being a part of this beautiful journey of making our maiden narrative venture. LONG LIVE CINEMA!

This Halloween KITCHEN.VIDEO invoke the spirit of Mr. Drako Lal.

A nice guy who overslept for a 100 years and loves his ‘bloody mary’. Like many of the townies he had a nice house by the sea, but that was a good one and half century back. This piece is all about how Furlenco came to his rescue.

Kudos to Sambit Mohanti and his teammates Ajith and Unni at McCann Worldgroup (South), this must have been a tough one to sell, but for us, a very rewarding and fun film to make.

Imagine ONE company working on our PAN and Aadhaar cards, National Pension Scheme, revolutionizing online marketplaces, to working on eKYC processes, Cybersecurity, and even digital identity services, thus building India’s Digital Public Infrastructure benefiting 1.2 BILLION Indians! Well, that’s exactly what formerly NSDL E-gov platform Protean does- and we needed to show it all in ONE film!

Team Ogilvy came up with the idea of a metaphorical ball that starts as a mere paperweight on a table of a government office, then sets off on a magical journey. It starts gathering the ‘old’ to change it into the ‘new’ as it passes through symbolic situations and infrastructural landscapes, upgrading everything it touches to an improved digital version of the original.

We had to answer some tough questions! Will the ball be intimidating or friendly in character? Will the ball grow through the sequences and remain believable? What are the situations we pass through to represent our products? What will the ball gather and how is it going to transform its surroundings… and most importantly- will people get it?

We had a couple of months to answer all these questions and make it come together as a solution. Here it is, our labour of love, for you to see. Though you will not see the rain and flood that we had to battle during the shoot, or a team of twenty art school graduates making miniatures of different sizes, or the absurdity of a 20 feet-inflated ball rolling around NCR. You will also not see the struggle of our Dutch collaborators cracking an almost impossible CG deadline, and the sound team in Berlin crawling under a car tire to mimic the sound of a ball and waving a flag to get the fluttering of clothes– but that’s all right. As long as you enjoy the roll and the ride, we are happy.
