By Train: Agra is well-connected by rail, and Agra Cantt is the main railway station, about 6 km from the Taj Mahal. Trains from major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Varanasi frequently run to Agra.
By Road: Agra is connected via the Yamuna Expressway (from Delhi, a 3-4 hour drive). There are also buses and taxis available from nearby cities like Delhi, Jaipur, and Gwalior.
Best Time to Visit
October to March is the best time to visit due to pleasant weather, making sightseeing comfortable. The temperature ranges from 8°C to 25°C.
Visit during early morning or late afternoon for the best lighting and to avoid large crowds. The Taj Mahal looks particularly stunning during sunrise and sunset.
Closed on Fridays, as it is reserved for prayers.
