Dholavira is an archaeological site at Khadirbet in Bhachau Taluka of Kutch District, in the State of Gujarat in western India.
The site contains ruins of a city of the ancient Indus Valley civilization and Also known locally as Kotada timba
The site was initially discovered by a resident of Dholavira village, Shambhudan Gadhvi, in the early 1960s who made efforts to bring government attention to the location and then was "officially" discovered in 1967-68 by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)
And then it was named as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name Dholavira: a Harappan City on 27 July 2021.

By Air : Dholavira is 250 km from Bhuj Airport and is reached via Bhachau and Rapar
By Train : The closest railway station to Dholavira is Samakhiali, just 137 km away. Major railway stations nearby are Bhachau, Gandhidham and Anjar, which are 152, 187 and 191 Kms away respectively.

Dholavira site is India's most prominent archaeological site associated with the Indus Valley Civilization. The site is the larger of the two most remarkable excavations of the Harappan Civilization dating back to about 4,500 years ago. Dhinodhar Hills are located near Nani Aral village, in Nakhatrana Taluka, Kutch District, Gujarat, in India. Dhinodhar Hill is a tourist and pilgrimage spot.
The hill is pilgrimage centre due to Dhoaramnath shrine.
Atop Dhinodhar, there are views of the Great Rann and the Chhari Dhandh wetland. This area has abundant wildlife and flora and is a trekker destination. Every year since 2011, a trekking competition has been organized between December and January.
