Modi called for saftey of Hindus after Muhammad Yunus Takes Oath

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Extends "Best Wishes" to Muhammad Yunus after he had taken oath as the chief of the caretaker government in Bangladesh.

With extending his best wishes to Nobel laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus, Modi expressed hope for a swift return to normalcy in Bangladesh, and called for the safety and protection of Hindus and other minority communities in the country.

"My best wishes to Professor Muhammad Yunus on the assumption of his new responsibilities. We hope for an early return to normalcy, ensuring the safety and protection of Hindus and all other minority communities. India remains committed to working with Bangladesh to fulfil the shared aspirations of both our peoples for peace, security and development," Modi wrote on X.

Just before the elections, 10 cops killed in attack on police station in Pakistan

Ten cops were killed while six were injured in a late-night attack on the Chodwan Police Station in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday.
The attack comes three days before the general elections are schedule to take place on February 8 .
Regional Police Officer Nasir Mehmood told that security concerns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have risen as both provinces have witnessed multiple attacks over the past few days.
The Election Commission of Pakistan and the security apparatus had reviewed the law and order situation last week, stating that polls would be held at their scheduled time.
Caretaker KP Chief Minister Justice (rtd) Arshad Hussain Shah condemned the attack and expressed his grief over the loss of lives.
In a statement, he conveyed his condolences to the families of the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
CM Shah said the KP police had given "eternal sacrifices" for peace in the province and that "such cowardly attacks would not demoralise them". He asserted that the government would help the bereaved in "every way possible".

Advani feeling honoured

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 3 declared that veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani would be conferred the prestigious Bharat Ratna. Advani has expressed profound gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him.

The 7th Deputy Prime Minister of India, Advani humbly accepted the Bharat Ratna stating that it symbolizes not just recognition for him as an individual, but for the ideals and principles he dedicated his life to. In his own words, "It is not only an honor for me as a person, but also for the ideals and principles that I strove to serve throughout my life to the best of my ability."

Advani extended his thanks to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi for acknowledging his contributions. He also expressed deep appreciation for his family, particularly his departed wife Kamla, acknowledging their unwavering support.

At least 39 people died and nine suffered serious injuries after a fire broke out at a store in the central Chinese province of Jiangxi on Wednesday.

“Up until now, the accident has resulted in the death of 39 people, injuries to nine people, and others are still trapped,” the state broadcaster CCTV said.

Video footage released by CCTV showed several fire trucks and other emergency response vehicles lined up across the street from a row of businesses.

It was not immediately clear how many people were injured in the accident.

১৫ কেজি সোনা, রামমন্দির নির্মাণে ব্যয় কত?

সোমবার উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে অযোধ্যার রাম মন্দির। রাম মন্দিরের উদ্বোধন করেন ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি। ওই মন্দিরে রামলালার মূর্তি নজর কেড়েছে সবার। এই মন্দির নির্মাণের জন্য মোট বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে ১৮০০ কোটি টাকা।
সূত্রের খবর, রামের গহনা তৈরিতে ১৫ কেজি সোনা এবং প্রায় ১৮ হাজার হীরা এবং পান্না ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। এছাড়া তিলক, মুকুট, ৪টি নেকলেস, কোমরবন্ধ, দুই জোড়া পায়েল, বিজয় মালা, দুটি আংটিসহ মোট ১৪টি গহনা তৈরি করা হয়। এগুলি তৈরি করা হয়েছে মাত্র ১২ দিনে।

জানা গিয়েছে, লারসেন অ্যান্ড টুব্রো ৭০ একর বা ২৮ হেক্টর কমপ্লেক্সের মধ্যে রামমন্দির নির্মাণ করছে। এটি নির্মাণে প্রায় ১৮০০ কোটি টাকা খরচ হবে। তবে রামমন্দির প্রতিষ্ঠায় ভারত সরকার কোনও টাকা দেয়নি। এই সম্পূর্ণ কমপ্লেক্সের জন্য প্রায় ৩০০০ কোটি রুপি অনুদান সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছে।

রামমন্দির নির্মাণের দায়িত্ব আছে শ্রীরাম জন্মভূমি তীর্থক্ষেত্র ট্রাস্টের কাছে। এই ট্রাস্টের সম্পাদক চম্পত রাই জানান, রামমন্দির নির্মাণের জন্য ২০২০ সালের ৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে চলতি বছরের ৩১ মার্চ পর্যন্ত ৯০০ কোটি টাকা খরচ ধরা হয়েছে। এখনো পর্যন্ত ব্যাঙ্কে রাখা রয়েছে ৩ হাজার কোটির বেশি টাকার বেশি। তবে অযোধ্যার এই মন্দির তৈরির মোট বাজেট ১৮০০ কোটি টাকা।

দেশীয় বৈচিত্র্য প্রদর্শন করে এমন শিল্পকর্ম এবং ম্যুরাল তৈরির জন্য সারা দেশ থেকে শিল্পীদের বাছাই করা হয়েছে। মন্দিরের ভেতরের অংশ সাজানো হবে সোনা দিয়ে।

রামের ম্যুরাল তৈরি করেছেন তিনজন ভাস্কর। এদের মধ্যে একজনকে গর্ভগৃহের ভেতরে থাকার জন্য বেছে নিয়েছিল প্যানেল। ‘রামলালা’ বা ভগবান রামের ভাস্কর্যটির ওজন ১৫০-২০০ কেজি। এই ভাস্কর্যটি তৈরি হয়েছে গ্রানাইটের পাথর দিয়ে।
তবে এখনও সম্পূর্ণ মন্দির নির্মাণ হয়নি। পুরো মন্দির তৈরি শেষ হতে ২০২৫ সাল পর্যন্ত লেগে যেতে পারে বলে জানিয়েছে শ্রীরাম জন্মভূমি তীর্থক্ষেত্র ট্রাস্ট।

যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে দুটি বাড়িতে গুলিবিদ্ধ ৭ জনের দেহ উদ্ধার

যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ইলিনয় রাজ্যে দুটি বাড়িতে গুলিবিদ্ধ সাতজনের দেহ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। নিহতরা একই পরিবারের সদস্য বলে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে। এই ঘটনায় সন্দেহভাজন একজন বন্দুকধারীকে খোঁজা হচ্ছে।
সেখানের জোলিয়েট শহরের দুটি বাড়ি থেকে তাদের দেহ উদ্ধার করা হয় বলে জানিয়েছে পুলিশ।
পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, তারা জোলিয়েট শহরে এই হামলার সঙ্গে জড়িত সন্দেহে ২৩ বছর বয়সী রোমিও ন্যান্সকে খুঁজছে। হামলার উদ্দেশ্য জানা যায়নি।

জোলিয়েটের পুলিশ প্রধান বিল ইভান্স জানান, পুলিশকে জানানো হয়েছিল যে, বেশ কয়েকজনকে গুলি করে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। ওয়েস্ট একর রোডে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছানোর পর পুলিশ আধিকারিকরা সেখানে সাতজনের দেহ দেখতে পান।
তিনি বলেন, সন্দেহভাজন ব্যক্তি নিহতদের চিনতেন। ন্যান্সকে ‘সশস্ত্র ও বিপজ্জনক’ হিসেবে বিবেচনা করা উচিত।

এ ঘটনার তদন্তকারীরা জানান, সন্দেহভাজন হামলাকারী একটি লাল টয়োটা ক্যামরি গাড়ি চালান বলে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে।
শিকাগো থেকে ৪০ মাইল দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমে এই হামলার বিষয়ে কোনও তথ্য থাকলে তা পুলিশকে জানাতে স্থানীয়দের প্রতি অনুরোধ করা হয়েছে। জোলিয়েট পুলিশ জানিয়েছে ঘটনাটি তদন্ত করা হচ্ছে।

Myanmar soldiers flee to India after rebel gains

Nearly 300 Myanmar soldiers crossed the border into India to flee an advance by armed insurgents fighting the country's junta, an Indian paramilitary officer told on Friday.
Clashes have rocked parts of Myanmar near the Indian border since the Arakan Army (AA) attacked security forces in November, ending a ceasefire that had largely held since a 2021 military coup.
This week, the group said it had taken over the major town of Paletwa and six military bases along the border of India's Mizoram state, where the soldiers had crossed on Wednesday.
A total of 276 troops carrying their arms and ammunition arrived at Bondukbangsora village, an officer from the Assam Rifles paramilitary force told.
"We have given them shelter at our camp," he said, adding that the arriving soldiers were "given all the support they require."
The officer said that his unit was collecting biometric data from the soldiers and had sought approval from the defence ministry in New Delhi to return them to Myanmar.
Hundreds of other Myanmar troops have fled to India to escape fighting since the ceasefire ended in November, according to local media reports.
Two Myanmar military aircraft arrived in Aizawl, the Mizoram state capital, to collect and repatriate soldiers who retreated from the conflict.
In October, an alliance of the AA and two other ethnic minority armed groups launched a joint offensive across Myanmar's northern Shan state, capturing towns and seizing vital trade hubs on the China border.
Last week, the alliance announced a China-mediated ceasefire in Shan state after months of conflict that posed the biggest threat to the junta since it seized power.
The agreement does not apply to areas near the Indian border where fighting between the military and insurgents has raged on.

Circular of Home Minisitry ahead of Republic Day

Ahead of Republic Day on January 26, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a circular to states and union territories, urging them to ensure that Indian national flags made of paper, used by the public during important national, cultural, and sports events, are not discarded or thrown on the ground after the event.
The home ministry said that the Indian national flag represents the hopes and aspirations of the people of the country, and the paper tricolours are to be disposed of privately, consistent with the dignity of the flag.
"As per clause (x) of Paragraph 2.2 of Part-II of the Flag Code of India, the National Flag made of paper may be waved by the public on occasions important to national, cultural, and sports events. You are requested to ensure that flags used by the public, made of paper, are not discarded or thrown on the ground after the event. Such flags are to be disposed of in private, consistent with the dignity of the flag," the letter by the ministry, issued to all the states and union territories, read.

বিয়ের বেনারসি কেনার আগে কোন কোন বিষয়ে খেয়াল রাখবেন ?

আপনিও কি এই শীতেই বা সামনেই বিয়ের পিঁড়িতে বসতে যাচ্ছেন। তাহলে হুট করে শাড়ি কিনে ফেলবেন না। এখন বিয়ের বড় একটি পার্ট হচ্ছে ফটোগ্রাফি। তাই কেমন শাড়ি কিনবেন সেই বিষয়ে ওয়েডিং ফটোগ্রাফারের সঙ্গে আলোচনা করে নিতে পারেন।

তবে, সব কিছুর আগে কেনাকাটার পরিকল্পনাটি ঠিকঠাক সাজিয়ে নিন। বিয়ের সব কেনাকাটার মধ্যে সব থেকে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হচ্ছে বেনারসি। আসল বেনারসি কেনার আগে মানতে হবে বেশ কয়েকটি টিপস।

তাই, একেবারে কম সময় নিয়ে বিয়ের কেনাকাটা করতে যাবেন না। তাতে ব্যস্ততার ভিড়ে বিয়ের কেনাকাটা ভুল হতে পারে। সময় নিয়ে দেখে শুনে বেশ কয়েকটি দোকান ঘুরে তবেই কিনুন বিয়ের বেনারসি।

বেনরাসির দামের সঙ্গে সমঝোতা করতে যাবেন না। একটি আসল বেনারসি শাড়ির দাম কম করে হলেও ৮ থেকে ১০ হাজার টাকা । তার কারণ হচ্ছে একজন কারিগর দীর্ঘ সময় নিয়ে বেনারসি শাড়ি তৈরি করেন। খাঁটি বেনারসি তৈরি করা হয় সিল্ক দিয়ে । তাছাড়া যে শাড়িতে যত বেশি মোটিফ থাকে তার দামও তত বেশি হয়।

আসল বেনারসির দুই পিঠেই ঘন সুতার কাজ থাকে। যা নকল বেনারসি শাড়িতে থাকে না। নকল বেনারসির উল্টো পিঠ খসখসে হতে পারে। আসল বেনারসি রূপালি ও সোনালি রঙের জরি সুতা দিয়ে তৈরি হয়। ধরেই বুঝতে পারবেন। ত্বক সঙ্গে সঙ্গে উজ্জ্বল দেখাবে। বিয়ের বেনারসিটি ব্রাইট হলে বিভিন্ন উজ্জ্বল শেড বেছে নিতে পারেন। ব্যতিক্রম চাইলে একটু ডার্ক শেডও বেছে নিতে পারেন।

বেনারসি শাড়ি কেনার আগে ট্রায়াল দিতে ভুলবেন না। দোকান বা শো রুমের বাইরে ডলের পরনে দেখেই বিয়ের বেনারসি কিনে ফেলবেন না। অবশ্যই ট্রায়াল দিন। মনে রাখবেন একটি বিশেষ দিনের জন্য শাড়িটি কিনছেন আপনি। এখনও বিয়ের জন্য বেনারসি কিনতে বেশির ভাগ লোকের প্রথম পছন্দ লাল রং।

বিয়ের শাড়ি বলে কথা। তাই সবাই যত্নে তুলে রাখেন এই শাড়িটি। দীর্ঘদিন ভালো রাখার জন্য অবশ্যই একাধিক বেনারসি একসঙ্গে রাখবেন না। পুরাতন সাদা সুতির কাপড় দিয়ে বেনারসি শাড়ি মুড়িয়ে আলমারিতে তুলে রাখুন। বেনারসি শাড়ি কাচতে যাবেন না। লন্ড্রিতে পাঠিয়ে বেনারসি শুধুই ড্রাই ক্লিনিং করান।

যোগীকে প্রণাম করায় সমালোচনার মুখে রজনীকান্ত

সম্প্রতি মুক্তি পেয়েছে রজনীকান্ত অভিনীত সিনেমা 'জেলর'। এই সিনেমার বিশেষ প্রদর্শন হয় উত্তর প্রদেশেও। লক্ষ্ণৌতে এই সিনেমার বিশেষ প্রদর্শন এবং প্রচারে গিয়েছিলেন ‘থালাইভা’। সেখানে গিয়ে সেই রাজ্যের প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তথা সমাজবাদী নেতা অখিলেশ যাদবের সঙ্গেও দেখা করেন তিনি। রবিবার অযোধ্যাতেও গিয়েছিলেন রজনীকান্ত। রাম জন্মভূমিতে যাওয়ার আগেই তাঁর ‘পুরাতন বন্ধু’ অখিলেশের সঙ্গে দেখা করেন রজনীকান্ত। রজনীকান্ত বলেন, “ প্রায় ৯ বছর আগে মুম্বাইয়ে আমার সঙ্গে দেখা হয় অখিলেশের। আমরা প্রায় ফোনে কথা বলি। বছর পাঁচেক আগে আমি উত্তর প্রদেশে এলেও তাঁর সঙ্গে দেখা করতে পারিনি, তাই এবার এসে অখিলেশের সঙ্গে দেখা করলাম।”
কিন্তু তাঁর এই উত্তরপ্রদেশ সফরে গিয়ে সমালোচনার মুখে পড়েছেন দক্ষিণী সিনেমার এই সুপারস্টার। শনিবার উত্তর প্রদেশে আসেন তিনি। আর সেখানে এসেই তাঁর থেকে বয়সে ছোট, উত্তরপ্রদেশের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী যোগী আদিত্যনাথের পা ছুঁয়ে প্রণাম করেন রজনীকান্ত। যোগী আদিত্যনাথের পা ছোঁয়ার এই ভিডিয়ো ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায়। তা নিয়ে শুরু হয়েছে বিতর্ক। অনেকেই রজনীকান্তের সমালোচনা করেন। তাঁরা জানিয়েনে, ‘থালাইভার’ এই রকম আচরণে তাঁরা হতাশ হয়েছেন।

প্রসঙ্গত গত ১০ তারিখে মুক্তি পেয়েছে জেলর। উত্তরপ্রদেশে এই সিনেমার স্পেশ্যাল স্ক্রিনিংয়ে ব্যবস্থা করা হয়। যোগীর সঙ্গে বসে নিজের সিনেমা দেখার জন্য স্ত্রী লতাকে নিয়ে রজনীকান্ত যান যোগীরাজ্যে। মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে দেখা হওয়া মাত্রই পা ছুঁয়ে প্রণাম করেন। যোগী তাঁকে ফুলের তোড়া দিয়ে স্বাগত জানানোর সঙ্গে আরও উপহার দেন আদিত্যনাথ।
ভিডিয়োতে দেখা যায়, গাড়ি থেকে নেমে যোগী আদিত্যনাথকে নমস্তে অভিবাদন জানানোর পরে রজনীকান্ত তাঁর পা স্পর্শ করেন। তাকে একটি ফুলের তোড়াও দেন এবং দুজনেই ফটোগ্রাফারদের জন্য পোজ দেন। তারপরেই যোগী আদিত্যনাথকে প্রণাম করতে দেখে নেটপাড়ার একাংশ রজনীকান্তের তীব্র নিন্দা করেছেন।
রবিবার অযোধ্যায় যান রজনীকান্ত। সেখানে সস্ত্রীক হনুমান মন্দিরে পুজো দিয়ে আসেন তিনি। এদিন রজনীকান্ত বলেন, ‘অনেকদিন ধরেই ইচ্ছে ছিল এখানে আসব। আমি অপেক্ষা করে আছি কবে রামমন্দির নির্মাণ শেষ হবে।’

9 Soldiers died and 1 injured In Leh

Nine soldiers of the Indian Army died in Leh of Ladakh area.
A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was among nine soldiers dead. Another jawan was injured after an army vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in Leh district of Ladakh on Saturday, officials said.

An army officer told that the accident took place at Kyari in Nyoma area of Leh on Saturday evening.

Soon after the incident,a massive rescue operation was launched at the site. However, eight soldiers died on the spot and two others were injured, he said. The injured were taken to hospital and one of them succumbed to injuries later. the officer added.

The soldiers were moving from Karu Garrison to Kyari when the accident took place, sources said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajrajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah have expressed grief on the loss of Indian Army personnel due to an accident near Leh in Ladakh. The President of India also expressed her condolence.

রাজ্যে বড় চমক, ঘাসফুল ছেড়ে হাত ধরলেন ফিরহাদের জামাতা

বিজেপিকে হারাতে তৈরি হয়েছে 'ইন্ডিয়া ' জোট। এই জোটে কংগ্রেসের সঙ্গে আছে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসও।
আর এই সময়েই বড় চমক দিলেন কলকাতার মেয়র তথা রাজ্যের মন্ত্রী ও তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের অন্যতম নেতা ফিরহাদ হাকিমের জামাতা।

শনিবার প্রদেশ কংগ্রেসের সভাপতি তথা সাংসদ অধীর চৌধুরীর হাত ধরে কংগ্রেসে যোগ দিয়েছেন ফিরহাদ হাকিমের জামাতা ইয়াসির হায়দর। এই ঘটনায় তোলপাড় রাজ্যের রাজনীতি।
কংগ্রেসের যোগদানের পরই ইয়াসিরের গলায় ছিল রাহুল গান্ধীর প্রশংসা। একই সঙ্গে তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসকেও নিশানা করেন তিনি । ইয়াসির জানিয়েছেন যে, তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের মধ্যে থেকে মানুষের জন্য কাজ করতে পারছিলেন না তিনি। মানুষের জন্য কাজ করার তাগিদেই কংগ্রেসে যোগ দিয়েছেন তিনি ।
তবে একে গুরুত্ব দিচ্ছেন না ফিরহাদ হাকিম।
ফিরহাদ হাকিমের মেয়ে প্রিয়দর্শিনী হাকিমও 'স্বামী'-র কংগ্রেসে যোগদানকে গুরুত্ব দিতে চান নি।
ইয়াসিরের কংগ্রেসে যোগদান প্রসঙ্গে তিনি বলেন, '২০১৯ থেকে আমরা সেপারেটেড এবং আমাদের বিবাহ বিচ্ছেদের মামলা চলছে। আমরা সঙ্গে উনি থাকেন না। উনি যে কংগ্রেসে যোগ দেবেন সেটা আমার জানাই ছিল না। অনেকেই একদল থেকে অন্যদলে যোগ দেন।'

' ২০২১ বিধানসভা নির্বাচনে টিকিট না পাওয়া নিয়েও ক্ষোভ ব্যক্ত জানিয়েছেন ইয়াসির। তবে তিনি ধন্যবাদ জানান ফিরহাদ হাকিমকে।

Chandrayaan-3 achieves milestone, Vikram Lander successfully separates



The 'Vikram' lander module of India's Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft successfully split from the propulsion module on Thursday, marking another major victory in the mission's journey for the moon.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission's lander bears Vikram Sarabhai's name. Vikram Sarabhai, who is widely regarded as the founder of India's space programme.

A week before its planned landing on the south pole of the moon on August 23, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft completed its penultimate lunar-bound orbit lowering manoeuvre on August 17.

A GSLV Mark 3 (LVM 3) heavy-lift launch vehicle was used for the launch of the spacecraft that was placed in the lunar orbit on August 5 and since then it has been through a series of orbital manoeuvres been lowered closer to the moon’s surface.

It has been a month and two days since the Indian Space Research Organisation launched the Chandrayaan-3 mission on July 14. The spacecraft was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh’s Sriharikota.

ISRO is bidding to make a successful soft landing on the moon, which will make India the fourth country in the world to achieve the feat after the United States, Russia and China.

Tipra M***a and Congress not to field candidates in Tripua by-polls



Before the general election, which is scheduled in the next year, Tripua is all set to show the bigger alliance of the opposition parties.
As Tipra M***a and Congress have decided that they will not field candidates in the byelection to two assembly constituencies in Tripura.
So there will be the fight between ruling BJP and CPIM.
Leader of Opposition in Tripura Assembly Animesh Debbarma of Tipra M***a told that his party will not field any candidate in the byelection to the Dhanpur and Boxanagar Assembly constituencies.

"Contesting elections involves a lot of resources, money, manpower, time, etc. Besides, it appears the ruling party gets an advantage if votes are divided among the opposition parties", he told .

He also claimed that Tipra M***a is neither 'Lal M***a' nor an ally of the BJP. The party has its own ideology and commitment towards the people, he said.

"Discussion is underway in the party to whom the Tipra M***a should support in the byelection... We will declare our stand by August 19", he said. Debbarma said the party has never engaged in talks with the BJP.

Tripura state Congress Committee president Asish Kumar Saha on Thursday said the party will not contest the byelections in Dhanpur and Boxanagar respecting the spirit of of the opposition block INDIA.

Like his speech in the parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed for peace in violence-hit Manipur.

Prime Minister had unfurled the national flag at Red Fort on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day. And then he spoke on Manipur during Independence Day speech.

Prime Minister said, "In the past few weeks in Northeast, especially in Manipur , and even in few parts of India, the violence which took place in the state made people lose their lives and also mothers and daughters had been humiliated."

He also claimed that in the past few days, Manipur has witnessed stances of peace and India stands with Manipur.
He said , "The country stands with the people of Manipur. Resolution can be found through peace only. The Centre and the State government are making all efforts to find a resolution."

Manipur Police file FIR against Assam Rifles

Manipur Police have registered an FIR against personnel of the Assam Rifles. Police is accusing the force that they are helping out “Kuki militants” to “escape freely to a safe zone” during an ongoing combing operation.
According to the FIR, the case was registered on 5 August against “personnel of 9th battalion of Assam Rifles” after they stopped the police from “discharging their law bound duty”.
The FIR says that, police team was proceeding towards Pholjang road along Kwakta ward number 8 as a follow up action in an a case of Arms Act for conducting a search operation to “trace the accused Kuki militants that might have been taking shelter at Kwakta ward number 8”, when they were obstructed by personnel of the Assam Rifles. It says , “As such an arrogant act of the personnel of 9th AR giving a chance to the accused Kuki militants to escape freely to somewhere a safe zone for them.”
The case has been registered under the IPC sections of disobeying law by public servant with intent to cause injury to any person, obstructing public servant in discharge of public function, threat to injury to public servant, wrongful restraint, assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation, criminal intimidation and common intention.

In the social media many had critisied the role of Assam Rifles.

A BJP leader of Manipur also had claimed that the Assam Rifles is helping the miscreants when violence is going on in the state. The state is boiling since May 3 and more than 160 died in clash.
