The book by Mohsin khan is all about, "How to Study Religion,". It briefly addresses the fundamental questions and confusions that a reader may face either during study or before beginning it. Additionally, there is a brief discussion, in light of the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah, on reading books from opposing perspectives. Similarly, the importance of companionship with a teacher, the significance of certification and spiritual purification in knowledge, and its unnecessary use are also discussed. Towards the end, some advice on "unnecessary reading" is presented to the readers, followed by a tested list of selected books on almost every subject of Islam.
