*02 Militants Killed In Kulgam Gunfight, Searches On*Srinagar, May 07:(GNS) Two militants have been killed in an encounter at Redwani Payeen area of South Kashmirโs Kulgam district on Tuesday.A top police officer told GNS that two militant bodies are visible at the encounter site while searches are still underway. The identity of the slain militants will be established after completion of the operation, the officer added. *10 dead after cab plunges into gorge in Ramban*

Ramban, Mar 29 (KNO): At least ten people lost their lives after a cab enroute to Kashmir from Jammu plunged into a 300-meter deep gorge near Battery Chashma area of Ramban district along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Friday morning, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Observerโ(KNO) that a Tavera vehicle carrying passengers, on way towards Kashmir valley from Jammu rolled down into a deep gorge approximately 300 meters near Battery Chashma on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
"Rescue operations, involving Ramban Police, SDRF, and local volunteers, are ongoing despite challenging terrain and continuous rain in the area. So far, eight to ten bodies have been found," official said.
The identities of two deceased based on an ID document are as (driver) Balwan Singh, son of Purab Singh, from Jammu and Vipin Mukhiya, son of Vishwa Nath Mukhiya, resident of Bihar.
"Majority of those dead are non JandK residents, further rescue operation is going on." official added.
Station House Officer (SHO), Ramban told KNO around eight to ten people have lost lives in the tragic accident and further search is going on.
Meanwhile Union Minister, Dr. Jitendra Singh on hearing the tragic need expressed condolences to the berveaved families who lost their family members in the accident.
"Spoke to DC Ramban, Baseer-ul-Haq after learning about the tragic road accident in which a passenger taxi rolled down a deep gorge on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Battery Chashma leading to loss of 10 lives. Police, SDRF and civil QRT have reached the spot. Rescue operation is going on. Iโm in constant touch. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families," He wrote on X.โ(KNO)

*3 Residential Houses Gutted in Overnight Fire Mishap in Baramulla*Srinagar, Mar 18 : At least three residential houses were gutted in a massive blaze in Dangiwacha Rafiabad in Baramulla on intervening Sunday and Monday night.Reports reaching kna said that a massive fire broke out in a residential house at Dangiwacha in Rafiabad Baramulla last night. Soon after Fire and Emergency Services' arrived at the site with men and machinery and launched a rescue operation with assistance of locals. After hours of relentless efforts, the fire was controlled, not unless it gutted at least three residential houses. Talking to GNS, an F&ES official said that three residential houses, one double-storeyed and two single-storeyed, were gutted in the incident. The official identified the victims as Mohammad Kashif Peer, Tariq Ahmad Peer and Naseer Ahmad Peer. "The cause of fire is believed to be leakage from a domestic gas cylinder," the official said.

Srinagar, Mar 15 (KS):- A girl lost her life in a road accident in Qazigund area of South Kashmir Kulgam district on Friday evening.
An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a girl was hit by an unknown vehicle near Qazigund Kulgam and she died on the spot.
She has been identified as Mehak Jan daughter of Ab Rashid Khan resident of Kelam Devsar.

Kishtwar, Mar 14 (KS) : In a tragic incident, a couple and their son were killed while another son was injured as the family vehicle fell into a deep gorge in the Bhandarkot area of Kishtwar district on Thursday.
Reports reaching News Agency Kashmir Scroll suggest that a fatal accident occurred in the Bhandarkot area of Kishtwar when a family vehicle plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in the immediate deaths of the couple and one of their sons. The other son was critically injured and was taken to a nearby hospital for advanced treatment.
A police officer informed news agency Kashmir Scroll and identified the deceased as Yasir Hussain Bhat, an employee at the District hospital Kishtwar, along with his wife and one son.
