Of all the Chief Ministers of West Bengal since India’s Independence in 1947, Dr. B. C. Roy can always be remembered for his pioneering and brilliant contribution to economic growth in West Bengal.

On 1st July, 2022, on the occasion of his 140th birth anniversary, Eastern Review Magazine organized a seminar titled ‘Legacy of Dr. B. C. Roy and Economic Development of West Bengal.

The speakers were – Deba Prasad Ray, Tamal Datta Chaudhury, Kanak Jain, Partha Haldar. The seminar was moderated by Sunandan Roy Chowdhury.

Investors Awareness Program lead by Saishab Bhattacharya and Samir Upadhaya of L & T Services, was held after the seminar. While Eastern Review and SAMPARK Publishing House were the organizers of the event, SSL Academy and L & T Services were generous supporters of the program.
