After the overthrow of K. P. Sharma Oli's government and almost a week of unrest in Nepal by the Gen-Z protest, former Chief Justice of Nepal, Sushila Karki, has been appointed as the interim Prime Minister of Nepal.

At least 51 people were killed and over 1,300 injured after police fired on protesters opposing a now-revoked social media ban, sparking unrest that led to Mr. Oli’s resignation. Families are only now collecting the victims’ bodies from Kathmandu.

A speeding Maruti Ertiga struck on-duty traffic policeman Constable Vipin Kumar on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway around 6:18 PM on Friday, flinging him into the air. The car fled the scene without stopping, while the critically injured constable was rushed to Manipal Hospital.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating a mid-air incident after a flap on a Delta Air Lines wing partially broke off during a flight to Austin, Texas, on Tuesday. The flight, carrying 62 passengers and six crew members, landed safely, with no injuries reported.

​The event, which has raised new concerns about aviation safety, was captured in a viral video by passenger Shanila Arif. The footage shows a portion of the left wing's flap dangling from the aircraft as it flew at high speed. According to Arif, the plane shook and passengers were initially afraid they were experiencing severe turbulence. After the safe landing, Delta confirmed the issue, stating that "a portion of the left wing's flap was not in place," and the aircraft was promptly removed from service for maintenance. The airline has apologized to its customers and is fully cooperating with the FAA's investigation.

A cloud burst in India's Uttarkashi caused a flash flood leading to devastating loss of life and properties. As of now four people have been reported dead and many missing.

To assess the situation, Home Minister Amit Shah held a conversation with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Emergency teams from the police, army, NDRF, and SDRF have been deployed, with a 16-member ITBP unit on site and more on standby.

India for the first time had set foot on the defensive stand against the tariff threat from the USA.

The Ministry of External Affairs (India) had said in a press release that India had been targeted by the US and the European Union for importing oil from Russia. India's imports are meant to ensure predictable and affordable energy costs to the Indian consumer.

Further it was added in the statement "Where the United States is concerned, it continues to import from Russia uranium hexafluoride for its nuclear industry, palladium for its EV industry, fertilizers as well as chemicals."

The Ministry of External Affairs also talked about the EU, it said "Europe-Russia trade includes not just energy, but also fertilizers, mining products, chemicals, iron and steel and machinery and transport equipment."

Former CM of Jharkhand, Shibu Soren, passed
away at the age of 81. The current CM and his son Hemant Soren confirmed his passing away due to health issues.

Shibu Soren was known as a leader among tribal communities who helped in the formation of the Jharkhand state. He started his own political party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and later on served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand on three different tenures.

Prajwal Revanna, former MP from Hassan constituency (Karnataka) had been sentenced to life imprisonment, for ra**ng his domestic help, by the special court for MP- MLA.

The victim had alleged that Prajwal had r***d her twice and also recorded the heinous crime on his phone. The court also imposed a fine of ₹10 lac on the suspended JD(S) MP.

Prajwal Revanna is the grandson of the former Prime Minister of India, H. D. Deve Gowda. Last year he was accompanied by the PM Narendra Modi during his election campaign. Soon after that obscene images of him were circulated in his constituency through pen drives that were placed everywhere in the public places. His driver upon investigation had told the investigating agency that he had found over 2000 obscene images and around 40 videos in which women of different backgrounds were being r***d or were with him in bed.
