District Police Kishtwar is set to organize the Police Memorial Cricket Tournament – 2025 under civic Action Programme.

On the directions of SSP Kishtwar, a press briefing was held at DPL Kishtwar by Addl. SP Kishtwar, Shri Pawan Sharma, accompanied by Dy. SP DAR, Shri Sajjad Khan. During the briefing, they highlighted the significance of the tournament in honoring the supreme sacrifices of martyrs and promoting youth engagement in sports.

ARTO Kishtwar along with 7 Assam Rifles Unit Kishtwar laid Special Naka to Check Overspeeding of Vehicles


Motor Vehicles Department Kishtwar under the overall supervision of Transport Commissioner JandK Vishesh Paul Mahajan JKAS and led by ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani JKAS along with 7 Assam Rifles unit Kishtwar led by Major Akshay laid a joint Naka on NH244
in between Drabshala Kishtwar stretch and checked more then 50 vehicles for overspeeding through Speed Gun.Overspeeded vehicles were stopped & their drivers were warned of strict action as per MV Act,besides raising of awareness among both drivers & passengers with regard to speed limit & few vehicles were also e challaned for different traffic violations.
This was a joint move by both ARTO Kishtwar with the support of 7 Assam Rifles led by Major Akshay in presence of MVI Azad Hussain,MVTA Chetan & different ranks from 7 Assam Rifles to ensure drivers adhere to speed limit while driving,so as to avert road accidents,besides making commutation of passengers hassle free.

The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Kishtwar under the overall supervision of Transport Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan JKAS organizes blood donation camp at District Hospital Kishtwar.This initiative was a part of the ongoing celebration of National Road Safety Month 2025.The event was graced by the presence of chief guest ADC Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal JKAS in presence of DySP DR Kishtwar Sajad Khan & Major Akshay from 7 Assam Rifles.ADC Kishtwar applauds the efforts of ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani JKAS and other stakeholders in organising the blood donation camp.
During the event,ARTO Kishtwar,members of the drivers’ community,Jawans from 7 Assam Rifles,journalists from Media fraternity Kishtwar,volunteers and MVD officials came forward to donate blood, highlighting their commitment to the humanitarian cause.Speaking on the occasion,ARTO Kishtwar emphasised the primary aim of the blood donation camp was to ensure that sufficient blood remains readily available for accident victims, allowing for immediate lifesaving interventions during emergencies.

JU’s Bhaderwah Campus Organizes Cleanliness Drive to Promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Bhaderwah, January 29: In a bid to promote cleanliness and hygiene, the School of Education Bhaderwah Campus University of Jammu organized a Cleanliness drive within the campus premises. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and non-teaching staff, who actively contributed to making the campus neat and clean.

Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof. Rahul Gupta in his message, lauded the efforts of the School of Education and especially appreciated Dr. Kuljit Singh, I/C Department of Education for organizing such an impactful initiative. He emphasized the importance of cleanliness in today’s era, highlighting that a clean environment fosters a healthier and more productive academic atmosphere.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Kuljit Singh underscored the significance of cleanliness drives and their alignment with the objectives of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a flagship mission launched by the Government of India. He encouraged students to adopt cleanliness as a habit and contribute to maintaining a sustainable and hygienic environment.

Adding to the discussion, Malvika Kotwal also shared her insights on the role of cleanliness in personal and societal well-being. She urged students to take responsibility for their surroundings and actively participate in such initiatives beyond the campus as well.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Akash Sharma Lecturer who expressed gratitude to the participants and organizers for their collective efforts in making the drive a success.

The Cleanliness Drive at Bhaderwah Campus stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to environmental consciousness and community welfare, reinforcing the importance of sustainable practices in academic spaces.

MVD Kishtwar Conducted Road Safety Slogan Writing Contest ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem wani takes the Initiative

As part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month programme,
Motor Vehicles Department Kishtwar led by ARTO Kishtwar Tasleem Wani JKAS conducted an online road safety slogan writing contest.The contest,saw an enthusiastic participation from youth of Kishtwar.They showcased their creativity by depicting powerful messages on safe driving and following traffic rules.
The competition aimed to engage youth in promoting road safety and instilling a sense of responsibility towards creating a safer environment for all road users.
Over 40 youth participated,using vibrant colors and innovative ideas to convey messages about following traffic regulations, wearing seat belts, and avoiding distracted driving.Prizes were awarded to top five contestants namely Mutayyeb Ayubi (First),Keshav Sharma (2nd),Ayan Saroori (3rd), Suresh Kumar (4th) and Deepak Thakur (5th), based on their creativity & catchy slogans.
ARTO Kishtwar,appreciated the all contestants for their participation and encouraged them to spread road safety awareness among their family, friends, and society.The Competition overall served as a creative platform to educate and inspire individuals to prioritize road safety,ultimately contributing to reducing accidents and saving lives on the roads in District Kishtwar.

Motor Vehicles Department Kishtwar organises medical camp for Drivers,transporters & Cleaners at Paddar.
ARTO Kishtwar leads the camp.

In view of ongoing National Road Safety Month the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Kishtwar,led by ARTO Tasleem Javaid Wani JKAS & in presence of BMO Paddar Dr Anil Sharma & SHO Paddar Amrit Katoch,organised a free medical camp for drivers,transporters & cleaners at the Main Bus Stand,Gulabgarh Paddar.
Speaking at the event, ARTO said that the initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Health Department,which aims to promote road safety and well-being among the transporters.
He said more than 100 drivers,transporters & cleaners received thorough medical check-up including eye check-up besides free medicines were provided to them.
The camp in addition to addressing the immediate health needs of the drivers also served as an important platform for raising awareness about road safety measures.
He added that transporters and drivers were educated on the significance of adhering to road safety guidelines with a focus on safe driving practices besides importance of vehicle maintenance and the implementation of road safety laws.
