লন্ডন-কলকাতা- লন্ডন ( London-Calcutta-London ) বাস সার্ভিস........

এটা ছিলো বিশ্বের দীর্ঘতম বাস রুট। 1957 সাল থেকে 1976 সাল পর্যন্ত চালু ছিলো এই রুট। আলবার্ট ট্রাভেল নামে একটা কোম্পানী এটা পরিচালনা করতো। এই রুটের মোট দুরুত্ব ছিলো প্রায় 32669 K.M।

কোলকাতা থেকে লন্ডন পৌছাতে সময় লাগতো প্রায় ৫০ দিন। যাত্রার সময় বাসটির রুট ছিলো ইংল্যান্ড থেকে বেলজিয়াম এবং সেখান থেকে পশ্চিম জার্মানি , অস্ট্রিয়া , যুগোস্লাভিয়া , বুলগেরিয়া , তুরস্ক , ইরান , আফগানিস্তান , পাকিস্তান এবং উত্তর পশ্চিম ভারত হয়ে নয়াদিল্লি , আগ্রা , এলাহাবাদ এবং বেনারস হয়ে কলকাতায় পৌঁছাতো ।

থাকা খাওয়াসহ বাসের টিকেটের মূল্য ছিলো 145 পাউন্ড।

এই বাসে ঘুমানোর জন্য বাঙ্কার, খাবারের জন্য ছিলো সুসজ্জিত কিচেন। যাত্রাপথে তাজমহলসহ বিভিন্ন দর্শনীয় স্থান ঘুরে দেখার জন্য বিরতি দেওয়া হতো। এছাড়া ও শপিং করার জন্য ভিয়েনা, ইস্তানবুল, কাবুল ও তেহেরানে বিরতী দেওয়া হতো।
