जम्मू-श्रीनगर राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग पर जजरकोटली के पास एक विनाशकारी कार दुर्घटना ने एक परिवार को तोड़ दिया है, जिसमें चार सदस्यों की जान चली गई और एक गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गया।

यह दुर्घटना दोपहर करीब 12:15 बजे उधमपुर जिले के सलोरा में हुई, जब नितिन डोगरा द्वारा संचालित एक कार दो ट्रकों के बीच कुचल गई।

रिपोर्टों से पता चलता है कि जम्मू से उधमपुर जा रही कार को पीछे से एक ट्रक ने टक्कर मार दी, जिससे वह आगे चल रहे दूसरे ट्रक से टकरा गई।
टक्कर जोरदार थी, जिससे कार में सवार सभी पांच लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए।

आपातकालीन सेवाएं घटनास्थल पर पहुंचीं और पीड़ितों को तेजी से उधमपुर के एसोसिएटेड हॉस्पिटल गवर्नमेंट मेडिकल कॉलेज (जीएमसी) में पहुंचाया।

दुखद बात यह है कि अस्पताल पहुंचने पर नितिन डोगरा, उनकी पत्नी रितु डोगरा और उनकी बेटियों खुशी डोगरा और वाणी डोगरा को मृत घोषित कर दिया गया।
उनकी पांचवीं संतान बृंदा डोगरा की हालत गंभीर बनी हुई है और उसे विशेष चिकित्सा देखभाल के लिए जीएमसी जम्मू में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया है।

जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस के एक कांस्टेबल ने रविवार को एक पुलिस स्टेशन के अंदर अपनी सर्विस राइफल से कथित तौर पर खुद को गोली मार ली।
उन्होंने बताया कि पुंछ निवासी सिलेक्शन ग्रेड कांस्टेबल इकबाल हुसैन शनिवार देर रात शहर के नौआबाद पुलिस स्टेशन में गोली लगने से मृत पाया गया। उसने खुद को गोली मारने के लिए अपने सर्विस हथियार का इस्तेमाल किया, इतना बड़ा कदम उठाने के पीछे का मकसद तुरंत पता नहीं चला।
इससे पहले, झारखंड के पलामू जिले में केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (सीआरपीएफ) के एक जवान ने कथित तौर पर खुद को गोली मार ली।
मृतक की पहचान 31 वर्षीय प्रांजल नाथ के रूप में की गई है जो जिले के चियांकी गांव के पास स्थित सीआरपीएफ की 112 बटालियन के मुख्यालय में तैनात थे.

अधिकारियों के अनुसार, इसी तरह की एक घटना में, जम्मू-कश्मीर के सांबा जिले में एक सैन्य शिविर में सेना के एक जवान ने कथित तौर पर खुद को गोली मारकर आत्महत्या कर ली।

After three days of continuous rain and snowfall, there was sunshine in all parts of the state including Jammu on Friday.
A significant drop in the minimum temperature was recorded at many places in Kashmir on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that there may be snowfall (Snowfall in Jammu-kashmir) and rain (Rain in J&K) in the mountains and some plains of the state including Kashmir on Saturday and Sunday.

KATHUA POLICE APPREHENDS 05 PERSONS /VAGRANTS NEAR ‘CHITTA’ HOTSPOTS (KHANPUR) SHIFTED TO DISTRICT JAIL ON 10 DAYS JUDICIAL CUSTODY

Kathua : Kathua Police has started to crack down on drug peddlers and apprehended 05 persons/ vagrants who were found roaming near ‘chitta’ hotspots i.e Khanpur area under preventive sections of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) in the jurisdictional area of Police Station Rajbagh.

The Vagrants have been identified as:-
1.Deepak Choudhary S/o Sudesh kumar R/o W.No.16 kathua 2. Ravinder kumar S/o Jia lal R/o Baswain Morh kathua
3.Somi kumar S/o Subhash Chander R/o Budhi kathua 4. Surinder Kumar S/o Raj Kumar 5. Madan Lal S/o Raghubir Lal both R/o Old Bus Stand Kathua who have been detained from the Khanpur area (chitta Hotspot) and booked under Preventive action under CrPC and sent to judicial custody for 10 days each and shifted to District Jail Kathua by the order of EMIC Marheen.
The arrests have been made by the police team led by SHO PS Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border.
Kathua Police has appealed to the parents, guardians, teachers and elders of the society to ask senior students and youth to avoid wandering near known ‘chitta’ hotspots as police patrolling has been intensified around suspected hotspots of ‘chitta’ in Kathua district and vagrants are being apprehended.

Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shivdeep Singh Jamwal JKPS has solved a theft case by arresting 02 thieves and recovered stolen Golden ornaments i.e Golden Necklace, Ear Rings and Bangle (weighing approx. 55 Grams) alongwith cash amount of Rs. 2,00,000/-(Two Lakh) from the offenders who were involved in the offence in the limits of PP Hatli.
On 04-06-2023 on the complaint of the complainant namely Makhan Singh S/o Chand Singh R/o Ward No. 21 Lane No. 06 Hatli Morh Kathua stated that on 02/06/2023 he alongwith his wife visited Gurdaspur and when they returned back on 03/06/223 they saw door was broken and golden items and some cash were stolen from their home for which a case vide FIR No. 248/2023 U/S 454/380/ IPC in connection with theft has been registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation started.Acting on the same on 03/01/2024 police party led by SHO PS Kathua assisted by IC PP Hatli under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kathua today arrested two persons/ thieves who were evading their arrest.During sustained questioning these accused confessed their involvement and on their disclosure following stolen golden ornaments items viz. 1. One Golden Necklace 2.Two Ear Rings 3. 01 Bangle making a total of approx. 55 grams of Golden Ornaments were recovered from the possession of said accused persons namely 1. Imran Butt S/o Sheer Mohd. Butt Age 30 Years R/o Udhampur Sambal Chakhad A/P Kuta Morh 2. Amit Kumar S/o Jagdesh Kumar Age 20 Years R/o Ward No. 06 A/P Near CTM Gate Kathua in the above said case whereas further investigation of the case is going on and their involvement in any other case cannot be ruled out.

01 DRUG PEDDLER BOOKED UNDER PITNDPS - PSA (PUBLIC SAFETY ACT).

KATHUA : District Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shivdeep Singh Jamwal-JKPS, a Police team led by Insp. Tariq Ahmed SHO P/S Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Singh Katoch JKPS, apprehended one Drug Peddler namely Rashid Ali S/o Babi Din R/O Mukandpur Tehsil Marheen & District Kathua who is habitual drug peddler involved in possession and transportation of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances in different NDPS Cases at PS Rajbagh. A detention warrant under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances PIT-NDPS Act- 1988 was issued against him by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu vide order No.50 of 2023 dated 12/10/2023.
In order to prevent the illegal activities in drug trafficking in the district, "Dossier" was prepared against the accused person and sent to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu for his detention under PITNDPS Act- 1988 (PSA). Accordingly Divisional Commissioner, Jammu issued a detention warrant against the accused person under the PITNDPS Act. Accordingly, the warrant has been executed and he has been lodged in District Jail, Kathua to curtail his activities in drug peddling so that the future of the youth of the district could be saved from the clutches of drug peddlers.

CBI files charge sheet against former J&K agri department official, 2 more, in bribery case

Jammu : The CBI has filed a charge sheet against former Jammu and Kashmir Special Secretary Agriculture Production Department Mohammed Farooq Dar and others in connection with a Rs 10 lakh bribery case, officials said Thursday.

Along with Dar, the CBI has also chargesheeted then Chief Horticulture Officer, Jammu, Sarbjit Singh and a private person, Gohar Ahmed Dar, they said.

In its charge sheet filed before the Special CBI court, Jammu, the CBI said Singh and Gohar Ahmed were arrested while accepting bribe of Rs 10 Lakh on behalf of Farooq Dar who was then posted as Special Secretary, Agriculture and Production Department in Jammu and Kashmir government.

The bribe was allegedly demanded from the complainant for his posting and to resolve his departmental issues, including promotion, a CBI Spokesperson said in a statement.

“It was found during investigation that the private person(Supplier/Contractor of Agriculture & Production Department) (Gohar) allegedly acted as a middleman for collection of bribe. It was also alleged that official information pertaining to transfer/posting of Complainant was being passed on by the Special Secretary (Dar) to the middleman who further passed on the same to Chief Horticulture Officer(CHO), Jammu(Singh),” the spokesperson said.

The CBI said Dar allegedly initiated the proposal for transfer of the complainant and allegedly recommended his name initially for CHO, Doda, and later for CHO, Rajouri, in “gross disregard” of the recommendation of inquiry officer, according to which, the complainant could not be posted to any sensitive post.

A threadbare discussion was held in the meeting on the present security situation and other aspects related to security and various suggestions, measures and strategies were taken to put in place a joint and effective mechanism for efficient monitoring and security surveillance on ground i.e effective area domination, surveillance on anti-social elements, social media monitoring and other measures so that mischievous persons and rumor mongers may not succeed to create any communal tension and peaceful atmosphere of the District may not get disturbed.
SSP Doda advised the officers to work in coordinated and synergized manner so that all the security agencies in the District are on same page to handle any kind of situation effectively on ground.

SAMBA POLICE ARRESTED 4TH ACCUSED INVOLVED IN LPG GAS PILFERAGE SCANDAL
ALL ACCUSED INVOLVED IN PILFERAGE & BREACH OF TRUST WILL BE ARRESTED : SSP SAMBA BENAM TOSH

Samba : Samba police has arrested fourth accused involved in LPG gas pilferage case recently registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Supwal.

The fourth accused arrested in case FIR No. 274/2023 u/s 3/7 EC Act, 406, 409, 120-B, 285, 413 IPC has been identified as Parveen Singh alias Baghu s/o Gulzar Singh r/o Malwam tehsil Marheen district Kathua.

Earlier, on the intervening night of 15th and 16th of November 2023, police had arrested two accused red-handed while extracting gas from two Indane Gas Tankers and filling it in the commercial cylinders at midnight at Village Chhajwal Barian. The third accused was arrested by police on 19th of November 2023 in the instant case. Now the fourth accused who was the driver of the one Indane Gas Tanker and had fled from the spot on observing the movement of raiding police party has also been arrested. However, the accused driver of second Indane Gas Tanker is still on the run and police is conducting raids to arrest him. Investigation is underway and some more suspects are being questioned in the case.

Initial investigation revealed that the same pilferage of gas from Indane gas tankers had been committed for the last over four months at the same place during midnight hours. The Indane gas tankers coming from Punjab side to Indane LPG Bottling Plant Bari Brahmana, Samba used to come to this particular place i.e Chhajwal Barian, Supwal Samba at odd night hours for pilferage purpose.

The investigation of the case is being conducted by SHO Police Station Samba Inspector Daljit Singh and Chowki Officer Supwal Deepika Jalotra under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Samba Bhishm Dubey and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh said that all accused involved in pilferage & breach of trust would be arrested and police is conducting raids at suspected places to nab them.

Evacuation of all 41 trapped workers at Silkyara tunnel collapse site complete

Uttarkashi Tunnel : The process to pull out 41 workers trapped inside the under-construction Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi started on Tuesday evening is now complete. Rat-hole mining experts manually drilled through the last 10- 12-metre stretch of debris of the collapsed portion of the under-construction tunnel on the Char Dham route and cleared it. Warm clothes and initial medical check ups have been provided to the initial rescued workers. Twelve rat-hole mining experts were involved in the horizontal excavation through the last 10 or 12-metre stretch of debris from the collapsed portion of the under-construction tunnel on Uttarakhand's Char Dham route. This drilling was earlier carried out by a huge auger machine that got stuck in the rubble on Friday at around 47 metres. A portion of the tunnel collapsed on November 12, blocking the exit with 41 workers inside.

KATHUA POLICE SOLVED MURDER CASE ARRESTED ACCUSED HUSBAND WITHIN HOURS

KATHUA :- Kathua Police while continuing its war to eradicate the crime from the society and in consequence District Police Kathua today managed to arrest one accused Namely Bhopinder Singh S/o Sham Lal R/o Kunde Chak Tehsil Marheen and
solved murder case within hours.
In this regard a case FIR No.284/2023 U/S 302 IPC stands registered at Police Station Rajbagh on information recieved from reliable source that one lady namely Sarabjeet kour W/o Bhopinder Singh has been murdered by her husband and the deadbody is lying on spot.On this information case FIR 284/2023 U/S 302 IPC has been registered and investigation taken up by Inspector Tariq Ahmed SHO Police Station Rajbagh.
During the course of investigation IO took the deadbody into custody and minutely examined the spot.After that deadbody taken to GMC Kathua for Autopsy and later handed over to the family members for last rites.The Husband of the said deceased was taken into custody who on sustained interrogation confessed his crime.The said accused is a serving army personnel. Investigation is in initial stage.The arrest has been made by a team headed by Inspector Tariq Ahmed SHO Police Station Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Singh Katoch-JKPS under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shivdeep Singh Jamwal- JKPS.

03 PERSONS ARRESTED BY KATHUA POLICE AT SOUNTHAL AREA OF PS KATHUA U/S 13 GAMBLING ACT; RECOVERED CASH AMOUNTING TO RS. 6300

KATHUA : District Police Kathua while receiving information on 27/10/2023 from the reliable sources that some persons were playing Gambling with playing cards at the village Sounthal area of P/S Kathua.Acting swiftly police party led by Insp. Sudhir Sadhotra SHO PS Kathua under the guidance of DySP Hqrs. Kathua Sh. Manjeet Singh conducted a raid on said spot and arrested three accused persons namely 1. Rakesh Kumar S/o Shanker Dass R/o Budhi Kathua 2. Naresh Kumar S/o Lt. Kartar Chand R/o Mearth Kathua 3. Ajay Kumar S/o Romesh Lal R/o Nagrota Kathua and recovered cash amounting to Rs. 6300 from their possession.
