"Voting for Loksabha elections to Take Place in These 5 Phases in Maharashtra; Check Your Voting Schedule

New Delhi, March 16:
The Election Commission finally announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections today afternoon, and now the Model Code of Conduct has been implemented nationwide. As per the schedule released by the Election Commission, voting in Maharashtra will take place in 5 phases. The first phase will be on April 19, followed by the second phase on April 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, and the fifth phase on May 20. Each phase will see polling across various Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.

Here's when voting will take place in each phase:

In the first phase, on April 19, constituencies like Ramtek, Nagpur, Bhandara-Gondiya, Gadchiroli-Chimur, and Chandrapur will vote.

In the second phase, on April 26, constituencies including Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Wardha, Yavatmal-Washim, Hingoli, Nanded, and Parbhani will go to polls.

On May 7, in the third phase, areas like Raigad, Baramati, Dharavi, Latur, Solapur, Madha, Sangli, Satara, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, and Hatkanangle will vote.

The fourth phase, on May 13, will see voting in constituencies such as Nanded, Jalgaon, Raver, Jalna, Aurangabad, Maval, Pune, Shirur, Ahmednagar, Shirdi, and Beed.

And finally, in the fifth phase, on May 20, voting will take place in Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Thane, Mumbai North, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-Central, Mumbai South-Central, South Mumbai, Dhule, Dindori, Nashik, Palghar, making it a total of 13 constituencies.

With polling taking place across all these Lok Sabha constituencies, the results will be announced on a single day, June 4, as clarified by the Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar."

9 thousand consumers in the Kalyan division had their power supply disconnected due to unpaid bills

Kalyan/Vasai/Palghar March 15 :
In a concerted effort to address the mounting outstanding electricity bills and curb power supply disruptions due to non-payment, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has intensified its campaign. Until March 13, approximately 9 thousand consumers in the Kalyan division had their power supply disconnected due to unpaid bills. Following the disconnection of power supply, MSEDCL clarified that restoration of electricity will only be possible after clearing outstanding dues and applicable GST charges.

In a bid to expedite bill payments, MSEDCL has announced measures to allow consumers to settle their bills online or through various payment methods such as debit/credit cards, net banking, mobile apps, and payment wallets. With this, consumers are urged to settle their dues within the stipulated deadlines to avoid further disruptions in their electricity supply.

Despite periodic reminders and extensions, a significant number of consumers in the Kalyan division, encompassing Kalyan East, Kalyan West, Dombivli, Ulhasnagar, and Kalyan Rural, have outstanding bills totaling 191.11 crores for 3,02,301 consumers. Similarly, in the Vasai division, encompassing Vasai and Virar, 3,397 consumers owe 50.53 crores, while in the Palghar division, 574 consumers owe 44 crores.

To streamline the bill payment process and encourage timely payments, bill payment centers have been opened even on Sundays and public holidays. Additionally, consumers are encouraged to utilize online platforms such as the MSEDCL website, mobile app, and various payment wallets for convenient bill settlement.

MSEDCL emphasizes that prompt bill settlement is essential to maintain uninterrupted power supply and urges consumers to avail themselves of the available payment options to clear their dues within the specified deadlines."

With the entire nation eagerly awaiting the Lok Sabha election schedule, suspense has finally come to an end. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced that a press conference will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. regarding the issuance of the election schedule for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In this context, the Election Commission has released a statement providing this information. Tomorrow, that is, on March 16, at 3 p.m., the Election Commission will announce the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections, and from that moment, the election code of conduct will be enforced throughout the country. Additionally, along with the Lok Sabha elections, the schedule for the elections to the state legislative assemblies will also be announced, as indicated in the statement.

Unified Transport Service for Municipal Corporations and Municipalities - Chief Minister Eknath Shinde

Another Efficient Transportation Option for Commuters

A decision has been made to establish a unified transport service for the municipal corporations of Kalyan-Dombivli, Bhiwandi-Nizampur, Ulhasnagar, and the municipal councils of Ambernath and Kulgaon-Badlapur in the Mumbai metropolitan region. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed satisfaction that this decision would provide millions of citizens in these areas with another capable public transportation option besides the railways.

Local government transport services are not fully capable...
The transport services of the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation are not fully operational in the neighboring cities of Bhiwandi-Nizampur, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, and Kulgaon-Badlapur. There has been a consistent demand from citizens to initiate bus services under the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation's transport program. The unified transport service area covers an extensive 225 square kilometers with a total population of approximately 33,43,000 as per the 2011 census. Over the past 13 years, there has been a significant increase in population in these areas, prompting the government to provide essential facilities. This decision has been made in that context.

In the future, a unified transport service will provide convenient and easy transportation services to commuters. This will also enable efficient public transport infrastructure in the region, thereby reducing transportation congestion. The government is committed to pollution control and environmental conservation. With the introduction of new EV buses in this transport service, it will be possible to control and reduce air pollution in the city. As part of this transport service, an administration building for unified transport service will be constructed in Shahad, within the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation area.

The establishment of a unified transport service for such an extensive region will greatly contribute to the development of this area. Citizens can expect better quality services from the transport service, as expressed by Chief Minister Shinde.

The much-awaited second list of BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections has been announced. Among them, the inclusion of 15 candidates from Maharashtra stands out. Notably, Kapil Patil, the sitting Member of Parliament from the Bhivandi Lok Sabha constituency and Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, has been given another chance to showcase development under his leadership, securing the third term.
A few days ago, the BJP's national executive had released the list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. However, the absence of any candidate from Maharashtra had left many eagerly waiting. But today, the suspense surrounding Maharashtra candidates has finally ended.
In this list, senior BJP leader and Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari's name has been announced for the Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, Raver, Akola, Wardha, Chandrapur, Nanded, Jalna, Dindori, Mumbai North, Mumbai North-East, Pune, and Bhivandi Lok Sabha constituencies.

Participation in democratic processes like elections and voting holds paramount importance for any democracy. Each citizen's participation in the electoral process is not just a fundamental right but also a responsibility towards shaping the future of the nation. However, there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm among some sections of the population regarding voting, as observed in previous elections. This discrepancy is evident in the significant difference between the number of registered voters and those who actually cast their votes.

To address this issue and to increase voter turnout in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, school students in Kalyan-Dombivli have taken up the mantle. As part of this initiative, thousands of students from primary schools across Kalyan-Dombivli have actively participated in voter awareness programs.

Tender Announced for Elevated Route from Vitthalwadi to Kalyan Nagar Highway;

Journey Expected to Take Just Five Minutes

Successful Efforts by MLA Dr. Shrikant Shinde

Kalyan, March 13:
It will now take just five minutes to travel from Vitthalwadi in the east of Kalyan to the Kalyan-Ahmednagar National Highway in the west. This is because an elevated route has been proposed to connect Vitthalwadi directly to the Kalyan-Ahmednagar National Highway, bypassing the old Pune link road. The tender for this project has been announced by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA). Thanks to the continuous efforts of Dr. Shrikant Shinde, the MLA of Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency, work on this route has already begun over the past few months. With this route, the journey time is expected to be reduced to just five minutes from the current 40 minutes to one hour. The elevated route will span the Waldhuni River through two rail lines, with a budget of ₹6,429.8 million allocated for the project.

Efforts to Facilitate Congestion-Free Traffic:
Dr. Shrikant Shinde, the MP of Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency, is leading efforts to provide congestion-free traffic through roads, flyovers, and elevated routes. With his continuous efforts, the inauguration of Metro 12 route from Kalyan to Taloja has taken place. Projects like the Airoli-Katai Road, Ring Road, and road widening are also underway. Significant projects such as the Manikoli Bridge, Shilphata Flyover, and Shilphata Road are nearing completion. Kalyan, being a central hub connecting many cities, has witnessed the expansion of numerous highways.

The Concept of Bridge by Dr. Shrikant Shinde:
Currently, commuters from Kalyan East, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, and Badlapur travel to Thane and Mumbai, causing congestion at Kalyan's entry points. To address this issue, Dr. Shrikant Shinde proposed the idea of connecting Vitthalwadi to the Kalyan-Ahmednagar National Highway directly through the old Pune link road. After obtaining immediate approval from the MMRDA, surveys and land acquisition processes were initiated. The required land for the elevated route has been identified, and the tender has been announced through the MMRDA for its construction. Once completed, this route will greatly benefit commuters.

Features of the Route:
The elevated route from Vitthalwadi to the Kalyan-Ahmednagar National Highway will span from Palms Water Resort to Jagdish Dairy on the Kalyan-Badlapur road. It will connect directly to the Kalyan-Karjat railway line, Kalyan-Badlapur state highway, and further to the Kalyan-Kasara railway line. The total length of the route will be 1,900 meters, with construction of 3,400 meters of roadwork. The route will be crucial for easing congestion at Kalyan's entry points.

Significance of the Elevated Route:
Currently, traveling from Waldhuni to Vitthalwadi involves considerable effort, making it challenging to reach Shahad. However, with this elevated route, a direct road will be available, simplifying travel from Kalyan East, Vitthalwadi, and Ulhasnagar East to Shahad.
